It is my pleasure to introduce myself, I am Czarina Ric Bacuetes. I was born on the 23rd of August, 1994 and I am a Filipino. Currently, I am staying here in Australia with a tourist visa for almost a year and I really enjoy staying here. I am planning to study Bachelor of Nursing at Western Sydney. Back at home, I was a student at the University of the Philippines taking up Bachelor in Secondary Education Major in Special Education from 2012 to July of 2015. Based on my background which was Special Education, my mind was opened that there are a lot of people who has special needs that call for both educational and health assistance. As we were discussing the different health conditions, I realised that I want to take another path other than being a teacher that will allow me to help a larger scale of people. Hence I came up with the decision of wanting to become a nurse. Since I am a person who is often described as someone who has compassion, kind, empathic and have a big heart for those in need, I think I am suitable to become a nurse. Another primary reason of why I want to be a nurse is the chance of making a difference in other people’s life. Being able to help them with something as big as making life and death decisions to something as small as listening to their stories is an opportunity to influence their lives. And this is something that I will want to do for a long time. Also, I have a grandfather and a dad who are both sick. I enjoy assisting them with all their needs and being with them during doctor appointments. Moreover, I know that they will continue to need my help in the …show more content…
Firstly, is because I have two aunts who were graduates of the said university. They suggested that I should apply here since they had great time learning, trained by remarkable professors and skilled professional plus those university student supports are outstanding. Secondly, it is in the top three percent of the universities worldwide, one of the top 50 nursing schools, and is acknowledged by other institutions both locally and internationally; so I rest assured that the quality of education that I will be receiving is one-of-a-kind and will be special. Lastly, as I read and watch testimonies of not just the nursing graduates but other courses’ alumni, they are currently working their dream jobs and presently living their dream life thanks to this school, due to those reasons I can vision myself living the same way as them when I get accepted and graduate here in the
I am caring, honest, and open to communication, loving and I love to teach and that is why I should be chosen for the nursing residency program. I want to learn what the program has to offer. Yet, this an exciting career and it will allow me to continue to learn this profession. I am excited about the different training, courses that are available for new nurses to partake in and I am looking forward to that, I am also open to the support of experienced nurses that allow themselves to work with new nurses. Lastly, I want to continue to pursue a career at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital and I believe that this program will support me in transitioning to an experienced, professional
to helping others. I will enter the school of nursing at The College of St. Scholastica eager to learn and hungry for the knowledge to help my fellow human beings. Attending and obtaining the Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from The College St. Scholastica will be the greatest reward for my motivation and drive to succeed.
Ever since I was a little girl, my motivation to pursue a career in the medical field was evident. While other children my age watched Cartoon Network, I found more value in shows like ‘Trauma: Life in the ER’ and ‘A Baby Story.’ It wasn’t until high school that I decided I would become a nurse, specifically. I cannot say that I had a revelation or a particular experience that swayed my decision. However, ever since I began pursuing the career of nursing, I discover each and every subsequent day that it is what I was put on this earth to do.
My courses and experience has empowered, and has reinforced my determination to pursue a career as a nurse. I am eager and excited about starting nursing school, and having my dream which started as a young girl to come full circle. I am convinced I am a good candidate because I have the innate drive to complete the program. I am willing to learn and use those skills and knowledge acquired to provide something meaningful to the society and humanity. I have the personal determination to face the challenges and rigors of nursing school. With hard work, perseverance, and determination I believe I have the essential character to be successful as a nursing student and an excellent quality nurse in the near future. A degree in nursing paves ways for other degrees to emerge especially for those interested in furthering their education in health care. I am committed to continue to pursed advanced degree in nursing ultimately becoming a nurse practitioner. . In the next five to ten years from now, I want to write articles and books about nursing and healthcare related. Therefore, I believe that if I improve myself further positively, I will grow from strength to strength and one day my paper will be read in one of the prestigious newsletters, journals, and textbooks. I know the sky is my starting
During my undergraduate years in college I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted to become when I “grew up”. I would study various professions and never felt like anything fit for me. One evening I sat down with my aunt, a nurse, and I was talking to her about how I couldn’t decide on a major and how frustrating it was to be in college feeling as if I did not have any direction. She looked at me with complete surprise on her face and said, “You aren’t applying for nursing school?” I stared at her for a moment because I was confused as to why she would ask me that. She chuckled and proceeded to tell me that she had always assumed that I would be a nurse because I spent several years of my life taking care of my 3 year old cousin who had cancer. For three years I was his caregiver and it had never occurred to me that I could make a living caring for people. I then spent countless hours researching nursing and what exactly nurses did. This was it! I had finally found what I wanted to do for the rest of my life! It took no time at all to know that I wanted to specialize in pediatrics. Throughout my clinical experiences in nursing school I have immensely enjoyed working on the Pediatric units as well as the Nursery. I am now absolutely certain that I am meant to be a pediatric nurse. Cook Children’s is recognized as a Magnet-designated hospital and is one of the best children’s hospitals in the US. Being a Cook Children’s nurse resident would allow me to fulfill my passion and dream of pediatric nursing. I am interested in a nurse residency at Cook Children’s because of its excellent reputation in patient satisfaction, standard of care, and community involvement. A residency at Cook Children’s would allow me to gain more experience and know...
Humanity presents individuals with extraordinary gifts as well as weaknesses. Growing up I realized this notion as I gave insulin shots to my younger brother and reminded him to check his blood consistently throughout the day. I was determined to fight this battle with him through researching alternative medicine options and attending his doctor’s appointments. This life experience enlightened me on my compassion for individuals with health issues and my passion for management and prevention of chronic diseases. As a nurse practitioner, my major goal is to help others like my family through properly educating patients and their families while being a source of comfort and strength in their time of distress.
There are many different reasons why I decided to continue my education in the nursing program to become in the future, an RPN. To begin with, my passion for the medical field started when I was in high school. After doing a placement in my local clinic I decided that nursing was the ideal job for me since I love helping people out. To add to my reasoning, seeing some of my family members sick made me admire the work the nurses were doing for them. This eventually made me want to have this affect on other families that were living with the same things I had gone through. Lastly, I’m someone very social that needs to work with public. With this said, I needed a job that I would be able to work with young children, but also with elderly people
I chose nursing as a career because I found the work challenging, exciting and rewarding. I feel my skills and attributes are well suited for nursing. My ability to sta...

Being accountable to me as a professional is saying yes to the call and responsibility we have to bear out. It is a responsibility we take for ourselves and for others who rely on us to be present in any situations. The mission requires an openness to relationship with others. It’s been my desire, longing for a nursing career since I was in my primary and secondary school. At the age of 12, I began to look after children and baby-sitting then, from there, I gained the understanding of how to deal with children. Nursing is one of the highly demanding careers that bring new challenges every day and it comes with various rewards and a real sense of job satisfaction. I chose nursing because it is a profession where you never really finish learning. It has been my dream job since my tender age. Seeing nurses visiting my school treating students, immunisation, teaching us about health and sexual health issues, this encouraged me. My goal and desire at that age have been to help people within the Health sector. That is how; I decided to go to college where I am currently doing my Access to Higher Education Diploma (Science), which involves Biology and Chemistry. I chose this pathway because I want to gain the relevant skills and knowledge of my career to be. As someone who wants to become a nurse, I found biology as an important role in the delivery of client car...
As International, it is more than an opportunity for me to study at this wonderful college. I am pursuing the Nursing Field and it is very challenging, but still I could see myself in the near future as a wonderful nurse. For this to happen I surely will need some help, and it will contribute to my success.
The reason for this is the fact that I will be taking care of people when they need help the most. For numerous patients, I will be by their side when nobody else can be, which is an honor. On top of making a difference in my patients' lives, I will also have the satisfaction in knowing I helped save lives daily. I believe that life is precious and that everybody deserves a chance to live theirs to its fullest extent. Not only will I help save lives at work, but I may even have the chance to save lives outside of work. Emergencies are happening every second of every day, and at times people need help before first responders can arrive. If I were to be in the area of an emergency, I can help out until further help arrives. This could be the difference between life or death. With this being said, the skills I will learn in nursing can come in handy outside of my work and can potentially save somebody's life. I consider this an incredible benefit of my future
I have always wanted to become a nurse since I was a little girl, seeing both of my grandmothers working in a hospitals and always helping everyone in need. My goals in becoming a nurse is just the basic foundation of just helping people who physically cannot help themselves. I want to be able to shed light in people's lives who are losing it because of their situation. I feel as nurses is the backbone in the hospital. The nurses are there day in and day out with the patients, holding their hands and walking them and their families throughout such a difficult time. Nurses are also their supporting the doctors and all other staff. I’ve found especially in these past few years that I want to spend my life helping others and that's what I can
