“What am I passionate about?”
This question circled within my head for months as I was trying to decide what I wanted for my future and my career. Choosing a career path is intimidating and scary. I felt as though I wasn’t passionate about a career. I wasn’t interested in nursing, education, business, or engineering. I started to worry because I thought I wasn’t passionate about anything. However, after about three months of worrying and thinking about my passions, I realized that I am passionate about people and fighting the injustices that people all over the world are faced with. I am passionate about ensuring that all people have access to clean water, nutrition, education, and secure shelter. I am passionate about ensuring that all people
I also have strong desires to serve others, including underserved populations. While serving at a homeless shelter Bowery Mission, I realized that the homeless usually need more help in health care but have inadequate access and limited medical knowledge. I am interested in working in in underserved areas as well as serving underserved populations because I can maximize my impact by fulfilling their needs.
Throughout my adult life, my passion has been to help others. I have always been driven to make the world we live in a better place, even if it is just for that one person. My passion and drive have been the influencing factors in my personal history, my interest in Therapeutic Recreation and my academic and career goals.
Though I was in work force for many years, the long hours, the time away from my family and my dissatisfaction of where I was at, I knew I needed a change. I needed a career that not only motivated me but also made a difference in people’s lives.
I could begin by saying that I choose nursing to help people, but then I would be following behind the other million people who say they chose nursing for the same reason. Even though I want to help people, I chose nursing because I wanted to inspire, to teach, to learn, and to make an impact on my patients, their families and also in society. I will not say nursing was always my first choice, but I ultimately choose nursing because nurses not only care, but they also volunteer despite their busy schedules, are constantly learning, and are always giving back to the community. The cliché for choosing a career in health care is a need to help people, but I wanted to do so much more than just help people. I want to make an impact on someone’s life. A lot of what many people don’t understand is that nurses aren’t just there to help the sick, but the title of nurse comes with an array of jobs ranging anywhere from caregiver to educator. I choose nursing because my philosophy, my values, and my beliefs, guided me to a profession in which
Choosing Human Services as a career as a Social Worker or Practitioner. I feel very passionate about as I mentioned before. I feel God has a plan for me, and I will be used to help women with the many problems they face within their lives. I want to help women identify their true abilities young and old I feel I could be
Within my fifteen and a half years of living, I have experienced many heart wrenching moments that have changed who I am, so many that I stopped trying to keep count long ago. Like most teenagers, the past couple of years have been some of the most confusing, hectic years of my life. I'm at that age I'm trying to figure out who I am, as well as who I want to become. As indecisive as I am, I will more than likely change my mind a time or two, but right now at this very moment, I've finally come to terms with who I really am, and what I would like to do for the rest of my life.
It's hard for me to say where I'll be in the years to come, already my life has strayed from the path I once thought it would follow. However, that doesn't change my motivation or determination to reach and excel at my personal goals. My whole life I've endured a system that dictated what should be important to me, and while it's helped me learn the practical skills I need outside of an academic setting, I have a passion to grow further from what's expected of me, and so with much enthusiasm I look forward to attending college in which I hope to achieve more by constantly learning and expanding my personal knowledge.
My ultimate value is my family. My vision for my own self is to live happily with my family in the future. I love to spend my spare time with them. Hanging around with friends and family make me feel well. I love to play on computer. I also love to play with the magical numbers. I like surfing on the internet, exploring new things, reading articles related with health, life, and economic events such as the stock market, financial companies, investment corporations, etc. I think being a citizen of a country, we should somewhat at different aspects of life to better know how well or bad the economy of our country is experiencing. My goal is to become a businessperson. I believe doing business is an important way to improve the economy of a nation. I did a research on two different careers. However, they are sort of having a relation with each other. Both of them are in the business field – accounting and financial analyzing.
The career field I chose is to be a firefighter. The reason why I want to be a firefighter is because they help people and prevent fires from spreading. I’ve always wanted to help people everywhere, because I don’t like it whenever if there is an accident and some people died and lost their loved ones, people talking crap about them and just talking and pointing the cameras in their face watching them cry. I want to help people and make a difference and help protect people’s life, and be someone people recognize when I walk by them.
Reading and writing has always played a vital part in my life. From toddler to adult, pre-elementary to college, I’ve managed to sharpen both skills to my liking. However, even though it significantly helped, schooling was not what influenced me to continue developing those skills into talent. Many different things shaped and influenced my learning, and now reading and writing have become the safety net of my life. I know that even if I have nothing else in the future, I’ll still have my talent and knowledge. To ensure my success, I hope to further develop those skills so that I may fulfill my wishes.
Well, who really am I? Am I rude, strict or obnoxious? Or am I loving and caring? Think and know me better.
The Setting for Thomas Hardy's The Withered Arm and Other Wessex Tales. In the following essay I seek to show evidence of how Thomas Hardy was acutely aware of the social status of people, village and town. life was conducted, how men and women reacted to their own sexuality and to each other and the part religion plays in people's daily lives. Social class is raised a lot in Hardy's pieces.
Possibly the biggest choice of any person's life remains what vocation to go into. Even areas people have skills in may not give enough satisfaction to turn into a career, whether that satisfaction stays financial or otherwise. Whatever occupation I choose, I sincerely hope that the trek will remain on its uncertain and awesome course.
The career I choose to pursue is the career of Business Administration. This career consists of running a small or big business and being able to run it and be capable of making small or very important decisions. A business runs and depends on the people and how people spend their money. If people spend their money responsibly and they know how to administrate their money and will make the economy to be stable and be good. As we all know, the economy has been really bad for the past year and it has made millions of people loose their homes and their jobs. The economy is a big factor in this career and it could be a huge problem that can be faced for a long period of time and more than once.
My life has been a roller coaster ride with a lot of up and down moments. My roller coaster ride helped to realize what I wanted to study in college. I feel that I have a strong passion about psychology; I want to learn everything that I could, so I could be able to assist people. Everyone is passionate about a certain aspects of life, but I’m very passionate about my career. A passion is a strong feeling and sometime a controllable emotion that can make a difference in someone work ethic. During my career I want to be able to make a difference in other people lives.
