One Person Can Change the World One Person Can Change The World I believe very firmly that one person can change the world. That one person may not be able to do a whole lot physically to change the world, but one person has the power to inspire others to help that person change the world. I also believe very firmly that one person can set an example for others that may affect the outcome of any situation. Just like in a baseball game where one person can hit the winning grand slam homerun, in life, one person can make the difference. The problem is that when the odds seem insurmountable, it seems impossible to overcome them and most people will give up. The true heroes in this world are those who don't give up in these times when things seem impossible to do. The other thing I think is very important to note about the power of one person is that we need to look at what that one person is doing that is making a difference. One person can make a difference in someone else's life. I have had, in my life, many people that have made a huge difference. If someone changes your entire life or your outlook on it, your can definitely testify to the power of one. I think someone that can reach out to just one person's life is just as important as someone who can change the lives of millions. One last thing I think is important to note is that, in recognizing the power of one person to make a difference, we must also note the contributions of others to help put that person where they are. A further explanation of this would be to go back to our other scenario. When, in the last inning, someone hits a game-winning grand slam homerun, that person is very important. However it is also important to give credit to those on base or to his coaches who
One person’s ideas won’t change the world but it can make a significant impact. George Washington Carver overcame slavery but his ideas about crops and peanuts clearly improved life for many people. George Washington Carver is best known for his agricultural experimentation especially on the uses of the peanut but his life and research led to a better life for many. His legacy is that regardless of your race you can achieve great things if you preserve.
In conclusion, it takes only one person at the right time, place, and moment to change the future
...d, Van Dahlen has single-handedly transformed society and unified communities by allowing them to work together and care for one another even in the darkest of times. Deservingly, Van Dahlen made the “2012 TIME 100, the magazine’s annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world” because of her tireless dedication to her occupation, her will and desire to change the world, and by conquering all obstacles that came her way (PR Newswire). Her “heart” has portrayed the potential that society has to make a difference if we all keep our common goal in mind and if we put forth enough effort and dedication, our world could be forever changed for the better. Overall, Barbara Van Dahlen has changed the world through her constant work of providing psychological treatment and bettering the programs that directly affect the military and their loved ones.
...hile using his power. The beauty of power is that it is different for everyone. No one has the same view and everyone’s opinion is constantly changing. Therefore, power is a force to be reckoned with.
The classic definition of power is the sum total of one capabilities (Pevehouse and Goldstein, 2016, 2.2), but what influence does that “one” legitimately hold over any other “one” and/or groups of other “ones”.

Everyone can change the world and become an important part of history. Those who think they can change the world are often the ones who do. Civil Rights activists Martin Luther King Jr., and Human rights activist and American Muslim, Malcolm X are two great examples of people who thought they could make a difference in the world, and eventually did. The two both wanted to change things, but in two different ways. Martin Luther King used peaceful protests to accomplish his goal. Malcolm X used violence and rebellions to get his ideals across. The two wanted to advocate that black lives are as important as white lives. Malcolm promoted black supremacy and the separation of blacks and whites. Unlike Malcolm X, King had different views on the matter, and wanted the integration of the two races. Furthermore, he had a vision of unison rather than segregation. Despite
In conclusion, many evil events occur daily, and you might not be enough to end them but you are one of the ripples out of the thousand in this great big lake. Many people must step up to the challenge of stopping these bad things from happening. Albert Einstein’s belief greatly weaves into our lives whether you notice it or let the problems go. The world, my mother, and I have been, and always will be enormously impacted by Einstein’s forever lasting and always powerful understanding of the world.
believe that God is the center of the whole universe and everyone should listen to the God.
Even if you can get one person to change their mind about black people or people of the Middle Eastern descent then you are doing something to change the world. Changing one life is better than changing none.
One person cannot change the World, but I believe that one person can change something in this World. Whether it is within their own community or worldwide, each individual is capable of change. As a young child I have always been a quiet, shy person often distancing myself from everyone around me. It was difficult for me to make friends and connect to people on an emotional level, all I had was my family and a few friends I have known my entire life. Luckily when I was seven years old I began to play basketball, little did I know that an orange basketball would change my life forever. I have met some of my best friends, travelled too amazing places, and gained indescribable knowledge because of basketball. Not only did basketball change my
“Small acts when multiplied by millions can transform the world” (Common Dreams). This quote by Howard Zinn can be interpreted by implying that as long as everyone tries within their reach to help every situation that they can, then the world shall be a better place. This means that small measures may not seem to be making a huge difference but when those actions are multiplied by or totaled to the actions being performed by all; then a huge and significant impac...
Giving to others through humanitarian projects is not only inclusive of providing monetary solutions for food. Philosophies and intention to reach specific goals are also associated with the needs of others. The Hunger Project is designed with the central goal of eradicating poverty. However, it is found that this is not done only by feeding the poor, but instead through empowerment initiatives that allow others to change their lives. When looking at the approach used to The Hunger Project, it can be seen that the ability to provide empowerment to others will assist in changing lives through donations. The impact which is made by making a donation creates an initiative not only through the power of changing lives of those in need. It also alters the socio political landscape and the global society at large. This impact is one which can redefine the overall functions in the globe, specifically by eradicating poverty.
I believe one person can make a difference. One person can speak out, one person can stand up for what they believe in, one person can take action and one person can change the lives of others. I believe with all my heart in the power of individual people to make the world a better place.
