Personal Narrative Rough Draft
Personally Saturday nights are my favorite, and I followed the same routine every weekend. So why would this weekend be any different? My room felt cozy as I looked up time to time to see my twinkling Christmas lights I leave up all year. I loved how the sweet scent of vanilla filled up the plain air of my bedroom. Wearing my biggest sweatshirt that dangled at my fingertips, I sat on my bed leaning comfortably on my pillows. Every now and then, the sound of a notification would break the sound of silence. This is how I preferred my Saturday nights to be.
The time was around 10:30 and my eyelids felt as heavy as a brick to keep open. I was just about to shut everything down for the night, when the loud sound of a snapchat notification startled me awake. I looked at the blaring screen of my phone in the dark, to see it was from my friend Jordan. Flirting with each other was our thing, but nothing more. I opened it and saw the words "You're right I shouldn't, but for some reason I just cant help it. I need to tell you one last thing." At this point, my emotions were as troubled and jumbled as trying to find a needle in a haystack. He answered right away and as I was about to open it when my little sister came barging into my room, "Haley wanna ask mom for ice cream?" Hesitating before I answered saying, "maybe not tonight for me Lexi Lu." "OK then I'm still going to have some without you." She sassily responded before turning around and skipping upstairs. Resuming to how I was before she barged in, I went to check what he sent me. Nervous to what it would be, I pushed my arm out further away from me in attempt to make the screen smaller.
