I had always dreamt and imagined of and things about my first kiss, what this short and small but entirely –maybe magical, or awkward moment would be like. Until it happened on my fourteenth birthday. But first, let me begin with the fact that I was moving away to California in a month and a half, an extremely dreaded time period and an entire state away sort of situation. I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. Jordan and I, were great friends for a long time, teasing and poking fun at each other with no sign of infatuation toward each other whatsoever. He was my classmate, my confidant -my best friend. He was tall, had no money to his name but no one would have noticed, undoubtedly charismatic and mature for his age, and I was the complete …show more content…
Then he asked me if I had ever been kissed, this sent me into a near heart attack mode. I admitted that I hadn’t been kissed before. Then boy in front of me, the one who always held confidence, who knew so much of himself so well prior to those who do that are much older than we, blushed and apologized sincerely for not having been a better person to me and not having something to offer me this day. He looked back up at me with confidence and more love in his eyes that I had ever seen at the time. And then, Jordan softly placed his hand behind my neck, not intimately or anything like that, but in a more comforting way, moving my hair behind my shoulder and said, “If I can offer you anything special, a small gift in a small way,” and he kind of laughed at that, his voice softened again and he finished, “If you’ll let me, I’ll give you your first kiss.” The shock in my eyes must have been apparent, of course no one had ever said anything so romantic to me in my whole life (Again, I just turned fourteen), I nodded –a huge blush gracing my face as well as much as
We instantly started talking about the film we wanted to see and proceeded to get our tickets together. After the movie, he politely asked if it was okay for him to hold my hand and I let him. We walked around the whole mall hand-in-hand talking about the movie we just watched. Then we went outside for a full-blown make out session in a secluded spot. The only reason we stopped was because security told us to leave the premises, we could have easily been there all night. My mom had dropped me off at the mall that night and so he offered to give me a ride home. Right before dropping me off he asked for me to be his girlfriend. And then he shared he was already falling deeply in love with me. I was so shocked by how fast it all happened and it all seemed like a dream to me. I agreed to be his girlfriend, but told him a benevolent lie when I also agreed that I was also falling in love with him already because I did not want to hurt his feelings (Alder, pg 97). Our first date was intriguing because it first felt like we were barely initiating our relationship, then experimenting, then straight to intensifying, all the way to integrating the relationship by the end of the night.
“I know I’m starting at a very young age. Not even fifteen and already so independent- that’s a little hard for other people to understand. I’m pretty sure Margot would never kiss a boy unless...
The time was around 10:30 and my eyelids felt as heavy as a brick to keep open. I was just about to shut everything down for the night, when the loud sound of a snapchat notification startled me awake. I looked at the blaring screen of my phone in the dark, to see it was from my friend Jordan. Flirting with each other was our thing, but nothing more. At the end of everything, he's a junior and I'm a freshman, he still wants me to grow up a little bit. I opened up
In loving you, I am slowly learning to love myself, something that has never happened before. I’m always so happy around you, my heart doesn’t feel heavy in your presence. My walls are completely down for you, being so vulnerable is a scary thought, though I know I can fully trust you to be there for me. In the past, I have given pieces of myself to people who did not deserve them, my heart to people who used me, looking for love in shallow places. From the moment I met you, I knew you were different. I could tell that you were a soft and sweet boy that wasn’t only with me for what I could do for you. You showed me that love can be pure and untainted with good intentions. I know I’m not the best girl in the world, but I’m always trying to be the best girl for you, doing my best to make you happy in the small things. My bed has never felt empty with just me in it before, though now when I sleep alone, it feels as though you should be next to me. I crave your warmth. There is no better way to wake up, than to wake up to your sleeping face, the handsome lines and curves of your skin that create the
The entire class and their “Morries” gathered together in a room at the library. All the students were all very nervous, we had spent almost six months on these projects, and we were about to show them to not only each other, but to the people we spent the last six months writing about. Our teacher told us to pick an excerpt to read from the book. When it was my turn, I chose to read the description that I wrote about who Robert was. I was nervous to read this in front of him, because I was worried he would not like it. While I was reading,I made eye contact with him. He was so focused and he looked as if he was enjoying himself. After I was done reading, I handed him the binder that contained the book. He was so thrilled. I could tell by the way his eyes crinkled when he smiled. I also realized that I was thrilled. Not thrilled that the project was over, but thrilled that I had accomplished what I set out to do.
When I began my lessons with Ken, they took place at school, but then somewhere down the line, he wanted them to be at his house. He was the teacher, and I was told that you never argued with what the teacher had to say. Our next lesson, I showed up at his house at 1:00 sharp, ready to sing. I had never been to his house before, and I was a little nervous about seeing it. However, when he opened the door and greeted me with his cute little smile, I knew there was nothing to be nervous about. We started our lesson by singing a few songs for fun (we always sang duets together). He said that I wasn't singing my best and asked if I was stressed. Of course I was stressed! I was the lead in our school musical and it would open in two weeks. "One can never reach their full potential when they are stressed," he said, as he began to rub my shoulders. This was weird for me, but like I said, he was the teacher, and you never argue with the teacher. We finished our lesson, I thanked him and I was on my way out. Before I left though, he took my face in his hands, and he kissed me goodbye. I didn't really know what to do. Had that just happened? Did he just kiss me? Did I kiss him back? Is that wrong? He's too old! I'm too young! He's my teacher! We spoke on the phone several times that week, but never brought up the kiss.
When I was young my life didn 't start like other kids. I was brought up in a shack deep in the Colombia’s dark jungles. My family didn 't have much opportunity to go to school due to the lack of money. When my parents had pass away I was put into an orphanage and was able to go to school. I was to old to be placed in kindergarten so they just put me in first grade. Had no clue what school was or what it would be like?
“Love is universally accepted by many people and the concept of love within the English language refers to a variety of different approaches, states and attitudes, ranging from pleasure to interpersonal attraction.” (Kendrick 123) My characterization of love encourages the intimate emotion I partake for my family. The distinct connection that we fashioned and the invaluable moments that we consolidated. In the perceptive of a mother, my children are my supremacy and the greatest blessing of my lifecycle. They’re my inspiration and motivation to continue progressing and becoming the best at what I do. With that in mind, Love relics your outlooks and approaches the linkage they become associated with. Additionally, depending on your situation, your perspective on love can be an altering affect, creating a stable or inconsistent assessment. Furthermore, causing your love to intensify, decline, or even cease. Love in its essence, stands justly powerful and the beauty of it advances,
The idea of meeting someone special for the first time is always portrayed as the most beautifully fated incident whether in books or movies. When I met my best friend for the first time, we didn’t bump into each other with papers from our books flying majestically in the air and we didn’t have a staring contest in the middle of a crowded hallway. We also certainly didn’t think we would end up being friends, let alone inseparably close to each other.
We all fall in love at some point in our lives whether it be a passion, faith, or another person. Falling in love is a natural human behavior. It ensures the continuance of the human race through reproduction. Love is often considered a mystery because of its unexplainable feelings. It is the personal and affectionate relationship between two people. Researchers have discovered the biological reasons behind falling in love. The brain controls the signals that release chemicals and hormones in your body to give that rush that love brings.

On June 13, 2011, I woke up a happy and excited 17 year old for it was my graduation day and that meant no more high school, no more nagging teachers, and no more drama. I met my friends and my boyfriend Andrew in the school parking lot and away we went to practice graduation. After we had practiced walking and getting our diplomas we all went to lunch and discussed what we had wanted to do with the rest of our lives. After what we had thought to be one of the last lunches together I went to Andrews house to hang out for a bit. We talked about him going away and me staying here and all of the normal stuff that applies in a relationship when one goes away.
