Personal Narrative The time when my life turned upside was a shocking experience that changed everything besides my love for my mom and dad. Divorced parents have a major impact on not only the kids but it’s hard as a parent seeing their children upset. The children are afraid of what’s going to change and not knowing how to accept the fact that it’s best for the family. Some people think divorce is something that is horrible and they never want it to happen to them but it can be the best thing that has ever happened to a family. There are some things in people's lives that impact them in a good way and or a bad way. Finding out news that I never thought would happen affected me in a bad way at first. It felt like a dream at first until I stayed up trying to eavesdrop into my dad's conversation. I was woken up by my parents many other times having little arguments, but just fell right back to sleep and didn’t think anything of it . Hearing my dad’s conversation made me jump out a my bed and run to my mom.“ Are you and dad getting a divorce”? Silence filled the air until my mom asked “Honey, why are you asking”? I had to explain that I overheard dad talking to someone and I wanted to know if it was true. She said “ Get some sleep, we can talk about this tomorrow”. This was the biggest shock that I have ever came across but with all of the little arguments I think it all just added up and it got to be too much, they just wanted to be happy. The next morning came, having butterflies in my stomach, not knowing what was going to change. My parents sat us down and told us that nothing it going to to change and everything will be the same for the next month until my mom found another place.
