During my transition from childhood to adulthood, I have learned and accomplish many things within my education, community, and family. My transition from childhood to adulthood education made me come into reality that everything can’t be done for you and that you have to stay more focused and organized if you want to be somewhere five to ten years from now. My growth in the things that I do in my community such as church and basketball summer leagues made me realize that it is all right to participate and help out for the positive things in my community. In my family, my transition from childhood to adulthood help me to become a more mature and knowledgeable person. My transition from childhood to adulthood have made a huge impact on my
education and changed my perspective on academics. When I was in middle school, I didn’t have to work or think as hard on projects and essays like I had to do in high school. Once I got to high school, I realized that I had more responsibilities and I had to make the right decisions so I can stay on track. Also high school made me mature into adulthood because of the obstacles I had to overcome and the routine I had to maintain to stay successful throughout high school. The process of the things that I do in my community has grown because I learned how to cancel out the negative side and bring the positive side to light. In church, I attend every Sunday and every last Saturday of the month because there are not many men who attend church on a daily basis. Also in church I learned a lot about the biblical stories in the bible and how much meaning it has with life and adulthood. In my community, I also partaken in basketball summer leagues because I like the competitiveness and fun tournaments that we have there. The transition from childhood to adulthood in my family have matured me and made me a more knowledgeable person. When I was younger I didn’t have that much knowledge about the real world and what kind of situation I could be in five or ten years later from now. Now that I am older I am much more aware of doing what I have to do to get where I want later in life. I have matured from childhood to adulthood because I see myself as a leader and not a follower anymore. Also I am more serious about what I want to do and what I want my career be later in life.
The transition from childhood to adulthood can be a harsh and difficult journey. As teenagers become young adults, they fall face first into a new and frightening world of—no longer feeling safe or sheltered.
I remember the time when I had gotten promoted to high school as a 9th grader. That time was so important to me, at that time and age. It was a phase that you usually get over. I was growing up and starting all over again in a different environment with entirely different motives. I had started at the lowest class in the school, once again, as a freshman. I wasn’t a big 8th grader that internally felt more in control due to my age and experience. It was quite odd, just a couple of days before promotion, I was 8th grader, however I had more similarities with a 6th grader. This was me starting from strength to weakness. Through that I figured it out. Life is a process of phases that repeat, and helps a person grow. The famous novelist and blogger

I do not believe anyone's transition into adulthood is enjoyable or smooth, losing your ignorance and being made aware of real world problems isn't exactly what you wish for. The event that marked my transition into adulthood is certainly nothing I would wish on anyone, but if I had not experienced this, I wouldn't have become someone who learned to take responsibility, and find reasonable solutions to seemingly impossible tasks.
Growing up for me some would say it was rather difficult and in some ways I would agree. There have been a lot of rough times that I have been through. This has and will affect my life for the rest of my life. The leading up to adoption, adoption and after adoption are the reasons my life were difficult.
Now, that I am older and more mature, I can do the things I have always wanted to do as well as the things I never knew I wanted to do. I can do without authority; I can do without a plan, but all within reason. I can get a job to earn money, and know not to do it away. I can live on my own with said money, but all I could afford is a dismal apartment. At this point, I am all but disillusioned by what I thought was freedom. Though still with my goals, they know longer seem to fit. What I Iooked forward to, I would rather not see.
Emerging adults are always in the search of their own identity while experimenting with their life, love life and career path. Constant changes in emerging adult’s life are common. From changing residential place to love life, work and education, instability often presents during emerging adulthood (Santrock, 2013). In addition, emerging adults tend to place focus on themselves where they have no commitment and responsibilities toward others. This provides them a great chance to exercise their own will and to execute their plans for the future. During emerging adulthood, many feel like as if they do not belong to either adolescents or adult. The transition ends only when they have distinct marks of an adult. According to Arnett (as cited in Santrock, 2014), “emerging adulthood is the age of possibilities” (p. 296). The age of possibilities is when an individual has the opportunity to turn things around in life, especially when they are from a poor family
Childhood and Adulthood are similar in learning, making their own decisions, and having goals in life.
To begin something new, you must sacrifice something old. To enter the real world, you must graduate from your childhood. Childhood is the delicate phase of every adolescent's life where they must mature into their own person, with their own responsibilities. Although every individual will eventually bloom with their own personality, morals, and perspectives, the education and values we learn and see along the way add to the fingers that mold. We begin when we are born, and are taken in by strangers.
I had to mature quickly and learn how to take care of someone else besides myself. I am now a mother to four children. They have taught me how to have patience. This has become something I value very much. I have learned that in life you must wait for things. I now know that there was a reason why I had my son so early and wasn’t able to go to college upon graduating high school. I am so thankful that I had patience and waited for the right time to enter. It has been 14 years since I graduated high school, and I’m attending college and know exactly what I want to become. I had patience and took care of my babies at home before I decided to go to school. It hasn’t always been easy, but I’m so glad I
There have been tons of things that I have learned and been taught in my life, by a number of people such as family, teachers, or even friends on occasion. The things they taught me vary from math and other related subjects to just some truly simple yet meaningful life lessons. However, there is nothing quite as unique, quite as special as a person teaching themselves a life lesson. It really is an amazing accomplishment for a person to teach themselves something. It is not quite as simple as another person teaching them something because it is not just the transferring of information from one person to another. The person instead has to start from scratch and process the information they have in their mind in order to come up with a new thought
Childhood and adulthood are two different periods of one’s lifetime but equally important. Childhood is the time in everybody’s life when they are growing up to be an adult. This is when they are being considered babies because of their youthfulness and innocence. Adulthood is the period of time where everybody is considered “grown up,” usually they begin to grow up around the ages of eighteen or twenty-one years old but they do remain to develop during this time. However, in some different backgrounds, not everybody is not fully adults until they become independent with freedom, responsible for their own actions, and able to participate as an adult within society. Although childhood and adulthood are both beneficial to our lives, both periods share some attributes such as independence, responsibility, and innocence that play distinctive roles in our development.
In adulthood, we pay bills, do our laundry, and get a job. While in childhood we don’t have to worry about anything. Although both childhood and adulthood seem to be different in the experience category they are very similar. The experiences between the two stages both tend to have major or minor results in who we become or are as a person. They also are similar in certain ways; as a child, everyone remembers they popular group of girls, or the bully’s. Well hate to break it to you. Even in adulthood you have those types of people, you can have them at work or anywhere; it tends to never leave
But through it all, I am glad i developed through life the way I am, getting my first real job really help me but my best foot forward into the working world of being in adult. I learned a lot of new things, especially the darker and brighter parts of it all. It really helped push me to do other things that I was afraid to do, like getting my license and my car. I thank my father and my mother for being an influence even if it was negative a lot more than I would have liked. All of these events changed me and made me the man i am today, and I would never go back and change any of
Over the years, I have grown, matured, and began finding myself. Many things have changed in my transition from a child to an adult. When people think of comparing their childhood to adult hood, they always think of the responsibility that one takes on as an adult and all the freedoms that come along with that. However, my experience of blossoming into an adult is completely different from the majority of others. Instead of life turning me into a strong adult, I have evolved into a timid and self-critical human being.
