My major of choice is in the field of engineering, so I decided to job shadow at DTE Energy. I figured that they deal with just the electrical side of engineering but after my experience I knew more about what they did there to the point were could happily be employed there. I met a man named Ryan Randazzo who is the manager of the facility. He took me under his wing and through his daily routine of how he operates throughout his day. They always start the morning off with a roll-call. This involves DTE districts from all over Michigan and they communicate through a polycom conference phone at a certain time during the day. Each districts chimes in on any safety problems, functionality of equipment, and statistical data. Their call lasts …show more content…
Their isn't a power outage or an equipment malfunction that they don't know about and don't already have the solution to. Their computers are anciently odd and old but it holds lots of files and programs that they use on a daily basis to manage the electrical power in the city. I talked to another guy about what he does on the job. He told me that he is assigned projects by the city to improve the efficiency of energy and enhancing older models and making them anew. I learned that a wind turbine is made up of three major pieces. It is built from the ground up is carried by a crane and is stacked on top of each other. There is a ladder on the inside of the turbine that goes all the way up to the top, which is about 300 feet. The team member that I was talking to told me that he took a selfie from that high and showed me the picture. Later that day, Mr. Randazzo took me to a electrical-generating power plant where he gave me the proper safety equipment to walk around in. As we took a tour around the plant, we talked about the different parts of the machine and how their functions impact the machine as a whole. My day ended with a brain full of info and an experience that I will never forget. DTE Energy is a job that I am interested in and I might possibly work there in the near
Every so often workers have to go up the tower and unwind the wire that is located in the generator at the top of the tower (Campbell). The reason they have to unwind the wire is so the wind turbine can turn into the wind to create energy. These wind turbines only rotate one way, they don’t rotate both ways, so after a while the wire turning the wind turbine tightens and the wind turbine is unable to turn anymore. So the workers have to go up to the generator of the wind turbine and unwind the wire manually (Campbell). Also, with all the wiring and gears up in the generator, workers have to go up the ladder which is found on the inside of a turbine, and check to make sure everything is alright (Gipe).
On March 16, 2016, I interviewed Santi Wong. I went to the JP Morgan Corp, which is located at 270 Park Avenue New York City. She kindly gave me about thirty minutes for my interview. Santi is a very warm hearted and talkative person. She is really willing to help others. She is a banker who has been working at JP Morgan for a long time. The building of JP Morgan is a big structure. There were a lot of people walking in and out the building. People all seemed very busy on doing their business. Also, the security system of JP Morgan is very good. All the people need to swipe their card before they enter the building. The guests need to get a guest card and swipe it before they enter.

I was able to go on a mission trip to Minnesota Native American Reservation, Squaw Lake when I was 13. I learned the four Spiritual laws, and I accepted Christ through the training. I was able to share the Good News to mostly to teens and kids. His Holy Spirit deeply filled my life, and I wanted to grow my passion for God.
The research presented here was used to obtain a better understanding of the employees within the Power Delivery group at Sega, Inc. In addition, this information was used to educate the employee and to improve communication within the group.
A few leadership experiences that I have had come from athletics. I started playing athletics when I was in the fifth grade and I still continue to play as a senior. Over the years I have had the ability to be one of the leaders of both the softball and basketball teams for my school. Being a leader has taught me to use leadership skills that I will need later in the future.
I grew up knowing the value of a hard earned dollar. This past summer, I got to experience this personally. I received my first job, at Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park. The process went smoothly; I handed in my application, and an assistant manager said there was a group interview the next day. During the interview with 14 others, I acted professional and myself. At Sky Zone, big personalities are required, and I thought I was a good fit. Days later, the general manager of the Syracuse location called and offered me a job. I was excited and ready to start another chapter of my life.
There are a number of articles regarding toxic work cultures and ways to survive or turn it around. However, what do you do about the work environment that cannot change despite your best efforts? Recently I had lunch with a colleague who is miserable at his new job and by his account he has literally given up and does just enough to get by. This admission is out of character for him, given that he has always been a positive formidable leader. I did not recognize the person who was sitting across from me; this person appeared defeated and physically drained.
When I obtained my first job at China Grill in August of 2017, I was a nervous wreck. Unfortunately, being convinced that my boss would act with hostile intentions built a foundation for my anxiety to stand on. The outcome in reality is that she was jovial, always offering me Chinese candy to snack on and being incredibly patient when I misunderstood her instructions. Although my boss was marvelous, completing monetary transactions with the customers would force my anxiety levels to spike, causing heavy reliance on the calculator to determine the amount of change to return to a guest. If a customer began to seem impatient, panicking was my next course of action. This usually resulted in the customer getting the wrong amount of change back.
I always strive to complete my homework and assignments to the best of my ability and turn them in on time if not early. My performance in school is extremely important to me therefore I study materials outside what is given to me in class and do independent research for homework and assignment. My work ethic is very strong and I work very hard to maintain it.
My life is like a novel, not one of that with a twist and turn at every corner, however a more unflustered yet compelling story. Since the beginning of my student career the one quality that has been persistent with me would have to be my fearless work ethic. While many friends of mine in my childhood would be reading Marvel Comics I would be the lone one reading on Pythagorean’s Theorem or the anatomy of dinosaurs. School has not been the easiest of tasks, and not taking any on level classes during my highschool tenure doesn't help. While many of my friends today go out shopping or catching movie on a Friday night, I would stay home and get ahead on projects or reports due the next week. Although doing homework on a Friday night is not
Wind turbines are a great source of energy around the world. Wind turbines produce wind energy that can be used to power our homes. Wind turbines convert kinetic energy into mechanical power. Then this mechanical power gets generated into electricity. Wind turbines make energy by the wind turning the large blades, which spin a shaft that is connected to the large blades, which then operates the generator making electricity.
There are sometime thing that even you can’t accomplish be yourself, If you know you can't do something ask someone else for help when working as an electrician. Safety is the most important thing that is needed when being an electrician and working with electricity. When asking for help your co-workers will help you, because you help each thought out the whole project. That is friendship that is alway needed in a job.Safety is the first priority that is needed to be followed without anyone telling you. Don’t joke around when you are working near electricity. You should be serious in willing to help when you are needed or when you need help.
As the wind energy industry continues to grow, it will provide many job opportunities for workers and job seekers. These careers will extend beyond just the wind farm. To build and operate a wind turbine, it will take the efforts of many workers. The workers will be in factories and offices. There are construction employees, electricians, engineers, operators, gearbox makers and bla...
My first job after I graduated college I experienced an expectation testing my dedication to ethics, legality and my values. I accepted a position to create and run a college intern program and also to serve as an instructional aid in the classroom. Prepared to take on my first post graduation job I was shocked when I was informed my position would entail more than I had first agreed to. Not only would I be responsible for creating a new intern program and serving as an instructional aid but I would be expected to teach an English language development (ELD) course to seventh and eighth grades as well as a sixth grade elective. These new responsibilities were sprung on me less than two weeks before my supervisor expected me to perform them. The situation remains the same and I have taken the necessary steps to ensure confidence in my performance, I also know my students are receiving the best education that I can provide.
