Apart from the experience I have gained at LT Security Inc., my various internship positions have also exposed me to eye-opening responsibilities. For example, as a marketing intern at MySelf New York, I engaged in organized discussions with customers as well as colleagues in the pursuit of better promotional and marketing strategies. I have also gained experience with other matters such as employee coaching and assistance, employee relations, communication and implementation of policies and procedures during my time at Stony Brook University as intern in arts management and at Yunnan Changji Real Estate Co. Ltd where I served as an administrative
Being given the opportunity to intern with the staff at the Family Resource Center in the Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) has been a tremendous learning experience thus far. The opportunity has truly surpassed my expectation of what I imagined the journey of internship would be like and how it would help me to evolve into the professional arena as a social worker. I see myself transforming and viewing the community in which I live, the clients served, those deprived, and the tremendous job that we as social workers are tasked with to advocate for those in need from a more open-minded perspective. By enhancing and developing my personal and professional skills, such as active listening, observation, and professional comportment, I will be
When I began the internship, my motive was to do something worthwhile, learn and have fun. Those jobs made me feel grown up; gave me a semblance of control over my life. But I ended up getting so much more that I
The overall experience of my internship was that of enjoyment and education. I learned a large amount information from this internship along with a new found respect for what exactly police officers have to do on a daily basis. I enjoyed the night shift compared to the day shift. This is because I feel like the night shift was more proactive than reactive. By stating that the night shift was more proactive, I am saying that at night I was looking for things along with responding to calls. Along with looking for things, I was responding to medical emergencies from all different sorts of issues. An example would be that of a boy who was only eighteen years old was. He had taken shots of vodka, some mollies, and smoked some marijuana along
The internship was very rewarding physically and mentally. I worked hard in extreme conditions I had never expected, and I learned new laboratory techniques and used equipment I have only read about. Aerial missions were always a treat; who doesn 't want to check the weekly schedule to see helicopter duty assigned? The most important aspects of my internship had little to do with science, however. My internship allowed me to observe county employees and leaders from a position in which I could observe without altering behavior. Due to my role as an intern, and the underlying feeling that interns are inconsequential, I was able to see and hear many interesting things that have forced me to examine my personal ethics code and my assumptions
Do you consider this intern experience a success for you? Why? Can you share a memorable experience?
The Reader didn’t really give any insight on how Hanna felt that prison changed her. We heard other people's recounts of her life in those years but we will never know how she felt about it.
I know that this opportunity has opened up many doors I never thought would be possible. It has officially confirmed my desire to start off in this industry and work my way up the ladder. If it was not for this internship I would not have the appreciation for the knowledge I learned at Elizabethtown and the possibility to benefit my future.
My internship was something that I could have never imagined. Initially, I thought it would be a situation where I would just do journal entries all day, and I even feared that I would realize that accounting was not for me. Luckily, neither of these were the case. I found something that I thoroughly enjoyed doing and I was beyond eager to prove that I was ready to handle a full-time position. The University of Alabama has prepared me for my internship in ways that I did not expect and I was very grateful for the high expectations that were demanded from me in class so it was easy to translate that into the
While interviewing for internships, I utilized the skills I acquired in pre-internship to help me secure a position. These skills include communication, organization, and interview skill. To secure an internship at the Public Defender’s office of Petersburg I contacted David Lett, the internship coordinator, through email. Along with a message of interest, I sent my resume and cover letter. Through this type of
The quality of the internship experience to this point in the semester has been a great one. I have been learning to put the things that I have learned in school to practical use in the field of work. To see what I have learned in the class setting in use in the products that we use every day. Another thing that I have learned is that not everything I learn in school will be used in just one job. That the information I have learned in the classes that I have taken thus far are a very large umbrella of knowledge. That when I get a job for my career that it will be much more focused on a particular topic of some of the classes that I have taken. Something that I have understood better in the internship that I will take with me into the future
ability to establish a professional work ethos as well as developing skills needed to maintain a work life balance. Through all the experiences gained from this internship, it has provided skills such as multitasking in a fast paced office setting, keen organizational skills, and improvement on communicating in a professional workplace as well as the ability to handle situations as they arise.
Completing an internship in the courthouse has given me the opportunity to observe the various occupations within the criminal justice field and other job positions that are not related to criminal justice. Also, I got hands on experience on different job occupations (sheriff department, judge assistant, court reporter, window clerk, translators, financial advisor, learn to read minute orders, and much more) and that was a major learning experience. Being exposed to all these different job occupations it has help me in deciding or considering what careers I would like to pursue, and what careers I wouldnt like to work at. Another, essential tool that I have aquired from this internship is; getting out of my comfort zone
Personally, I gained a lot of benefit from the internship. However, there are few matter I think can be refine to make the training program better.
