It was the year of 2009 and I was seven years old at the time. We took a family trip to Disney World and went on a Disney cruise. It was just me, my brother, my mom, and my dad. My brother is two years older than me so he was nine then. We all had a blast getting to see all of the characters and just being together in Disney. While in Disney we did a lot of things and went to many different places. We loved swimming, and we would swim a lot. The resort that we stayed at for the beginning of the trip had multiple huge pools. There were also water slides. I loved to go down the slides and feel the crash of the water at the end of the slide when you fall in. There was even a pirate ship water slide that came out from what looked exactly like a real pirate ship. We would go swimming at the beach too. One of our favorite things to do at the beach is swim in the ocean, but we love making sand sculptures even more. While at the beach my brother and dad made a sand lion while I made a sand castle. Later that day, the lion became a volcano. Another day went by spent at Epcot. My family and I got to do games, ride some rides, and even do a mission. We got a picture in front of the ginormous dome that I thought looked like a big golf ball. I liked to play the games that they had there, but I did not go on a lot of rides because I did not like …show more content…
While we were there we saw a lot of animals on a safari ride. It was super cool to see all of the many different animals. We saw giraffes, rhinos, alligators, hippos, and even and okapi! My favorite animals that we saw were the elephants. Elephants are my all time favorite animal. We didn’t just see animals though. While we were walking around, we would see a person dressed in all leaves on stilts. When I was that little, I did not know that it was just a person on stilts and I was afraid of it. Looking back at it now, I think that it looks pretty

The sound of music, filling the air with happiness, resonates throughout the area. The scent of delicious buttery popcorn and glazed turkey legs that go on for miles and miles. The feeling of excitement coming into the place is felt in the atmosphere. It is the image of a once in a lifetime moment. When people come in, their imaginations become reality. The name describes itself perfectly. Walt Disney World is the place of dreams and imagination. People come from all around the world to see the rides, characters, food and the entertainment of Walt Disney World. I remember when I went to Disney World this past March. It was the third time I have gone to Disney World. To see the amazement and the expectation of the
We got to do an obstacle course. We also had a water slide and snow cones. My favorite part about last years was the dodge ball tournament. For this year I am hoping we can get two water slides. It was fun with one, but it would be even better with two.
When I was growing up we had all sorts of animals. We had cats and dogs, of course, but
It was kind of funny listening to my family react to getting wet, especially my grandma because she hates getting wet. Plus when we went down the long slide at the end, my heart felt like it was out of my chest. It was an exhilarating ride, and I had a good time on it. My uncle would say before our trip that Disney had the best fireworks that he ever saw, so I was looking forward to them since my uncle is kind of a pyrotechnic.
Everything seemed to be going smoothly that morning. Dad loaded the luggage and packed the cooler. He even packed the extra pillows. My family was very happy as we prepared for our trip. I was twelve years old and my brother, Jobie, was ten. My dad had told us for years about his first trip to Disney Land in California when he was a young Marine.
Long ago (1 whole year ago) in a galaxy far far away, I went somewhere very special! It was just a regular school Friday when my mom told me that we were going somewhere. I didn't know where were going, well not until I woke up the next day. I was going to The Mall Of America! It was the most fun thing I had ever done!
When we got there, we signed a contract and went up to the first zipline. We all got hooked into our “straddles” and Mason was hooked on first, then Tiff, then me. When it got to my turn, I went down and the wind was perfect and it was dancing with my hair. The view was charming, the hills, the sky, the clouds, over-all it was lovely. After finishing with the ziplining we walked down to the beach and had a blast.
Zoos have always reflected the curiosity and intrigue of humankind toward the animal kingdom. Throughout several different ancient civilizations dating back thousands of years, including Egypt, China, and all over Europe, caged wild animals were seen as divine representatives and sat next to the thrones of only the most wealthy and powerful. “Stone tablets found in the Sumerian city of Ur, dated to around 2300 BC, document the establishment and management of the earliest known animal park” (Hamilton 2007). In ancient Egypt, for example, tamed lions were often kept by the sides of pharaohs thrones (Bostock 7). In sixteenth century Europe as well, animal collecting among the wealthy was a popular sport. “King Manuel the First of Portugal received monkeys and macaw’s from South America, grey parrots and baboons from Africa, and elephants, rhinoceros, and cheetahs from India” (Bostock 24).
When I was thirteen years old my family and I went on a vacation to Las Vegas NV. The parents went out to a concert that night so my siblings and me were home alone.
On May 22, 1994 it was my ninth birthday. My mom and dad decided to go on a cruise to the Bahamas. We went on one of the Carnival cruise ships. This boat was the biggest boats I ever saw. When we rushed to get on the cruise ship I saw that there were so many rooms and shops. My favorite room was the Game room, when I entered the game room there were so many games and seemed like there were hundreds and hundreds of them. I started to get bored so I left. When I went to back to our room my dad was thinking about going scuba diving.
Animals have been around longer than anyone can remember. Animals are used in many different ways, more than what you think. They have many purposes in life, for example human needs, pets, and entertainment. They are used everyday throughout everywhere in the world. Anywhere you go you most likely will see at least some form of animal there.
Ever since I was about six years old, I wanted in the worst way to go to Disneyland. I would hope every year that my parents would chose Disneyland as our next family vacation destination. I dreamt of the day I would come back from Disneyland with exciting tales of adventure and a pair of sparkly, ruby red and black Minnie Mouse ears of my very own that would be the envy of every kid in my elementary class. Once I finally went to Disneyland, it was amazing; Disneyland was everything I had expected and more. However, a couple years later when I returned to Disneyland, it was different. The rides, buildings, and everything in the park did not have the same allure. The magic I had experienced as a child was no longer there.
Firstly, in England, there have been numerous reports of the cruelty of animals. 2010 Woburn Safari Park, where it was discovered that lions were squashed into small enclosures for 18 hours a day, and staff were found training elephants using 4,500-volt electrical sticks. Also in Knowsley Safari Park, where in 2011, photos showed animals being binned after untrained staff shot them.
When I heard my parents talking about going to Disney World I was so excited. It was a long trip down to Florida and I could not sit still, because I was so excited. We finally arrived that evening and decided to stay in a hotel near the theme park. When it was time for bed I could not go to sleep for a long time, because I was so excited about going at Disney world. When I saw the big mirror ball from the entrance, I was amazed. Disney world had a wide variety of rides. There were tons of rides that shocked me. Some of these rides made you feel like you were riding in a jet because of how fast they were. There was even a roller coaster ride in the huge mirror ball. It was a slow ride, but I still liked it because there was air conditioning inside the ball. We spent all day at the park until we had ridden everything. That night Disney World had a firework show. The fireworks seemed like they lasted forever with the amazing colors bursting in the air one right after another. When the firework show finally ended my parents told me that it was time to leave. I was...
