In the year 2015, I worked in customer service at a vacation rental business called Cocoa Beach Villas, located in Cocoa Beach. My job was to answer phone calls, provide information about the units and help guests as needed. I worked from March to July, working about 10 hours a week, then switched to my current job as an associate at T.J. Maxx, where I work 10-15 hours a week. I began working here in August after my previous job came to an end, because the vacation rental business is seasonal, when summer came to an end the owner no longer needed an extra hand. I've been working for Lowe's Companies for almost 3 years in May. I started at the retail store where I was apart of the Red Vest Mentor program. I was responsible for training and mentoring the front end associates in customer service. During my time there I also took on the responsibility to work standby for the cash administration office. As a back up cash administrator, I was responsible for processing daily businesses and cash deposits, as well as counting and staging cash drawer tills. Within this past year I advanced to the corporate office and worked for 6 months as a customer care agent. What comes to mind when you hear the word adventure!!? Well there is a place in Florida that is guaranteed to bring out your inner kid every time you visit. This place is known as universal Orlando Florida. This is a place where you can go on vacation and have fun like never before as you did when you were a kid. On my visit to Orlando I stated at a four-star resort located inside the theme park known as Cabana Bay Beach Resort, also went to universal studios and islands of adventure were I felt like I was a kid again.
I took up my first job sophomore year of high school and have stuck with it ever since. I currently still work there, Enchanted Beach Weddings. In this job I work labor and I am also one of the head photographers. We set up beautiful weddings on the beach and then I am in charge of directing them and leading the bride, groom and everyone else through the wedding. While I am doing that, I am also taking the wedding photography. It is a super stressful job to have couple’s wedding day experience in your hands and control, but I have never had a bad experience with it and am so priveleged to be a part of such an important day for couples about 75 times each year. We lived way out in the sticks in a trailer park community it was a nice community my uncle had lived there for many years. Its 2007 and I already took and passed my GED with flying colors I needed to find a job and I really didn’t know much so I asked a friend of mine who worked for this guy named frank. Frank had a business where he would install granite counter tops and tile floors he was looking for someone to help remove and install the counter tops and tile. I was nervous I had never done anything like this before I was only use to either cutting grass or construction jobs with my dad that only pertained to nailing wood and sheets of plywood up. I had worked for frank for about a year and a half before I had to quit I missed California too much I wanted to move back I missed the warm air and the smell of the dairies and that breeze from the ocean air when it hits you I missed all of that so I moved back and I moved in with my dad. I have had a few jobs in my life that didn’t last very long either the time wasn’t right or whatever but I ended up getting hired at the Walmart distribution center and it was a blessing in disguise because now we can get by. My original island is called the palm tree island. The island is shaped like a palm tree. That’s how it got it’s name. On the Palm Tree island there are a few stores, shops, and restaurants to go to. Every morning I can hear birds chirping like they were singing a song. I can also see many people jogging on the sidewalks before they go to work. The taste of coffee and donuts in the morning is always satisfying. A lot of times I can smell the cool blue salt water all day long. I can feel the soft moisture of the sand on the island. Across this island there is another island, but it’s unknown. Nobody lives on the island. Nobody knows what’s on the island.
I had applied for a job at Catholic Guardian society; in 2001 I did get the job. It was working with young girls in a group home, place there by the court. A group home is a place that children are sent to, once in foster care. A child can be in a group homes for many reasons; such as running away from home, not going to school and getting being arrested. I work every shift that was allowed, sometime doing doubles. When I started the job, I learn my way around fast. My partner was Michelle S.; she was great she began working there three years before me. Coney Island is a fun place for friends and family. There is no way to ever get bored You have many things to do for example spend time at the beach, taking a walk on the board walk, play games, and watch people play musical instruments to grab the attention of those walking by. This is a place you would want to go visit again and wouldn’t want to leave at the end of the day.
Lou Anne, the mother of a bright and beautiful nine year old girl, was happily planning a weekend vacation to the beach. She and her daughter, Leslie, always loved their annual trip to the southern beaches of California. They would pack as much of their lives as they could into their van and drive up and down the coast, stopping at every beautiful beach they could see for miles. The job was enjoyable; it gave me the chance to socialize with people and help them, and it taught me to work hard. Somedays, customers would have some questionable issues, August 3rd, 2015 being one of them. I recently took my break when my manager called me over to help with a customer at the service desk. Initially, I thought this job might rob me of an enjoyable summer just like any other work; however, I realized that jobs can make someone become a happier and more fulfilled person.
Ever since Sunset Beach has been officially opened to the public, there has been a drastic increase of tourists present. Television programs concluded that at least a thousand people visit the beach everyday. Reasons for their stay are that they feel comfortable with the environment that surrounds the beach front, people who are at the beach are joyous and numerous activities to enjoy, and the fresh scent of the sparkly waters, make the visitors feel calm and pleasurable. So I decided to take a trip there.
he radiant ball emerges, rising elegantly on the distant horizon, sending down its radiant light while the waves embrace the soft, wet sand. The breeze is a refuge from the morning sun; the clouds’ reflections move as a dance in the waves. I sit engrossed and allow the soft foamy mist from the rampant waves forming a feathery ocean spray which wafts lightly across my face. When the sun has completely risen above the horizon and the day has begun. The colours of the sea, the sky and the sand swirl together and eventually shape my day into perfection.
It was a clothing store for children. I enjoyed the job I had in the beginning; all I did was open up boxes and place the clothes in the racks so the store associates could hang them up on the store racks. I enjoyed the job because I did not have to deal with the customers that came into the store. In addition, when viewing what I value in the workplace, I realized that I find intellectual stimulation, security, and economic rewards to be the most important values.
On the 16 August 2015, I had the opportunity to meet with the Business Operation Manager Linda Kujala at the University of Canberra, Faculty of Business, Government and Law. This meeting was in regards to my work experience placement which went on well as she was able to explain the task I will be undertaking during my placement at the faculty reception desk with some other staff of the faculty. Some of the duties I will be involved in are as follows: assist during the orientation week from August 3 to 14 from 10am to 4pm, Due to the extreme busy period during this weeks she also ask if I could start early on the 4 to 5 of August from 9am to 5pm. I was also give some reading to doing before starting of the placement. This reading are very important because it relate to the many questions that commencing or current students ask during orientation and enrolment week.
