Hitting The Bull’s Eye
I stepped out of a life where I was put through a lot. I've been through foster care, through so many arguments with my family, and I have done a lot of mistakes throughout my life. It made me the confident and strong minded person I am today. I experienced failure many times, but moments like those made me realize that I needed to protect those who are in my shoes and take a step back into my own life and be a leader. It pushed me to learn things I never knew and to be a police officer have showed me these standards. You protect, help, and understand the people in need and I wanna pursue a dream that will come true.
"Why pursue to be a Police Officer?" Well they're there to protect everyone within the communities,

they serve to maintain law and order, protect members of the public and their property, prevent crime, reduce the fear of crime and improve the quality of life for all citizens. They use a wide range of technology to protect individuals, identify the perpetrators of crime and ensure successful prosecutions against those who break the law.
When I was in middle school I got into a fight over a bunch of nonsense that should've been handled in a better way. I got sent to the principal's office and I had to have a conversation with Officer Foster; he was the Police Officer that took charge of the middle and high school if anything dangerous happened. To me I didn’t have to listen he’s just somebody that gonna scolded me, but I was totally wrong. He cared. He took that time to talk to me tell me my mistakes but what I can do to change my habits into better things, and improve myself as a person. He talked about his life; looking back he needed to change himself, others, and his community from people like himself.
As I open my eyes now there’s a lot that I can do. I learned independence and how to be responsible for myself. I’ve been a foster kid for almost 7 years now and it’s put me through an experience I will never forget. I was fortunate to have lived under a roof with family, but even that made it impossible for me. I was mistreated and put down more than probably most kids do. But they were just my arrows that pushed me to be strong minded and hit that bulls-eye. Others can affect me in so many ways but it's my choice to stand up and take my ground, and I did. I wanna push to making kids feel safe and that they can come to me and I can make a difference in their life because I can.
Me being strong inside and out made me realize that the intelligence that I have will help me. I’ve seen people being mistreated by certain Police Officers and that is my main point in nudging myself into that field. Have seen that happen reminds me of when I was put in that predicament where I was picked on for all the reason I got into fights and into trouble because I looked different, was to short, or wasn’t excepted for who I was. So I don’t want people to have to go through that so thats what I'm gonna do.
I don’t just imagine change, I’m gonna make it realistic because life hits you with so many bullets in life, but the only way you can dodge them is keeping going and don't be scared of nothing. I’m gonna work to that day where I’m official “Officer Kihe” and change lives and protect them from others her mistreat them. My passion is to do this in life and if it was for my experiences I would have never gotten the confidence I have today.
