Personal Narrative: Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport

On the night of Sunday, September 11th, I was at the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport picking up a single-parent mom and her daughter to take them to their final destination within the Dallas area, when I received a parking citation. I was informed after receiving a parking ticket that I could not leave my vehicle parked in front of the passenger pick-up area unattended. It was not my intentions to leave my vehicle unattended in front of the passenger pick-up area. I was waiting to pick-up a passenger, who was traveling with a small child, when I received a phone call from the passenger asking if I could wait just a few more minutes on her while she was waiting for her luggage to be shuttled out from underneath the plane. In the background, I could hear her child screaming and her telling her daughter to be seated within her stroller as she attempted to climb up her stroller to get to her mom. I could hear the frustration in her mom’s voice, while attempting to corral her one-year-old daughter, so I asked her if she saw any airport personnel around that could help her watch her daughter for safety reasons, while she waited …show more content…

I was in shock and total disbelief by her verbal review/opinion(s) of the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport as well as flying experience. That night, the only reason why I went inside of the airport was to help her, due to being able to hear the disappointment/frustration within her voice. Her daughter and her received little to no airport employee assistance at that time and while traveling. She decided right then and there, after explaining the circumstances that she had went through while at the airport that she would wait next time until her daughter was five and/or ten, before she attempted to travel with her by airplane
