Hey Brandon, I wanted to ask you something since you been to DC before. I found a hotel in the Alexandria area and it seems like I would have to go to the Pentagon City Metro Station in order to get to DC. Now the question is if you went to the metro stations before, were they pretty decent? I mean I survived subways in NYC can't be any worse than that lol, but I just wanted to make sure, I'm a little picky when it comes to things like that lol.
However, the upper East Side of Manhattan is one of New York City’s attractive neighborhoods for tourists. When people talk about New York City, where are some famous places to go? Times Square, Empire State Building, The Metropolitan Museum, et cetera. Almost every well-known place is located in small areas in the Upper East Side, Midtown, and Downtown. Will people recognize and visit Greenpoint, which
Both locations offer a wide variety of fun. Shopping, sightseeing, dance clubs, and scenery are among both places. To get to New York would take about nine and a half hour’s or approximately 554 miles. My car gets about 40 miles to the gallon and gas prices are about $2.30 a gallon. I would have to fill up twice to get to New York City and twice to get back, which would cost about $120.00. If I stayed for three nights and four days, I would need to set aside another $100.00 dollar’s for gas while traveling the city. If I traveled by plane it would cost $201.00 dollars round trip if tickets were purchased on www.orbitz.com.
First I visited the Environment Floor. This was my least favorite of all the floors. The first exhibit I looked at was called ?The Estuary.? This had many different tanks filled with fish that normally dwell in the lower Hudson River. Next I visited the solar telescope. I walked inside what the Science Center calls their lighthouse, and found that they have an actual solar telescope mounted on their roof. From this telescope I saw images of the sun?s surface. The next exhibit I visited was call the Bug Zoo, unfortunately I didn?t stay there long. It was filled with tanks holding cockroaches, millipedes, and even honeybees, along with a small greenhouse. I was very uncomfortable there. I then visited The Rock Wall. Here they asked me to try to climb a wall, just like professional rock climbers do. It?s a lot h...
If you ever find yourself in Baltimore there are some things and places you must go and do. First of all there is Lexington Market which stretches over two blocks. This centuries old market has more than one hundred and fifty stalls and vendors offering fresh vegetables, seafood, meats, baked goods and prepared foods. You can find some of the best crab cakes known to man here, you haven't had a real crab cake until you taste one without all the bread filling. The sweet meat of blue crab is held together by egg, a tiny bit of bread crumbs an more crab meat. Camden Yards is also a must see. It is one of the most beautiful baseball stadiums in the world. Instead of the traditional hotdog stands you will find pit beef sandwiches and Natty Boh. I highly recommend you go on a food tour if ever in Baltimore.
The Ferry stop and the trip to Boston were a major part of the trip through The LIRR. The rail road service made the Ferry hotel, a stop after Green...

Washington Square Park is home to thousands of New York University Students, families leisurely strolling through the park on afternoons, people cooling off at the fountain during the summer, couples lounging on the green grass, and even home to the New York City Pillow Fight held during the summer. At the center of Greenwich Village, it provides an escape from the busy traffic and city surrounding it. Most importantly, it is home to the Washington Square Arch.
The overwhelming feeling of the whole week spent in D.C. was reminiscent of the Fourth of July: patriotic with unwavering pride in my country. This is something that I find uniquely American, demonstrated by the fact that hundred of kids from across the U.S. were taken on an all expense paid trip to the country’s capital, because I find it hard to believe citizens of other countries are as vain as that. In history classes throughout high school, details are dropped, truths are lost, and the student is left with a sugarcoated ideal of America. We do not acknowledge our faults, our mistakes, or our disturbing realities as a country. We believe America is the greatest country in the world, without acknowledging that the Chinese have higher test scores or that there is no legislation that provides for equal pay for both sexes. The American identity is believing that your country is flawless, American culture is an ignorance that even I will admit to. I felt pride in my country during that week in mid-June and I felt it’s opposite, but how could I trust that either of those feelings are true when I still do not know the whole truth of this
My Lat concert report took place this past Friday May 5th 2017 at 7:30 PM. This concert marked the end of my Music Appreciation course assignments, and it was a pretty nice experience.
When I was in St.Louis, my family and I went to the top of the Gateway Arch. We had to get in a small cart that took us to the top of the Arch. It took six minutes to get up and four minutes to get down. When you were going up or down, we couldn't see anything because there's no windows on the ride. If you didn't want to ride in the cart you could walk up stairs but it would be a long walk.
When I was seventeen I nervously traveled about 350 miles from my sleepy little home town of Freedom, Wyoming to the relatively enormous city of Boise, Idaho to go to the Military Entrance Processing Station. This wasn 't the first time I had been this far from home by myself, but it was the first time I was making adult decisions without my parents involvement. When it came time for me to choose my job in the army the counselors presented me with a long list that I qualified for. I got tired of scrolling and reading so I chose the first job that I actually understood. I returned home and excitedly told my parents that I would be an infantry soldier. My dad 's response to this might be considered a little less than heart warming “You dumb ass. Why didn 't you choose
My trip to the Getty museum was filled with anticipation and an unknowing of what Iwas actually searching to write about. I went on a Friday at about eleven but the museum was still full. It took about twenty minutes to find parking, the wait in line was long, and the tram had so many people it felt even hotter then it actually was. But overall the experience was fun. I enjoyed checking out the works of art and watching the classes of elementary students learn about the history and culture in the room. On one occasion I was very surprised because a mother asked her daughter, who could not have been more than six, about a painting was which she correctly identified as Vincent Van Gogh’s Irises, which was great because I never knew about Van Gogh at her age.
On the night of Sunday, September 11th, I was at the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport picking up a single-parent mom and her daughter to take them to their final destination within the Dallas area, when I received a parking citation. I was informed after receiving a parking ticket that I could not leave my vehicle parked in front of the passenger pick-up area unattended. It was not my intentions to leave my vehicle unattended in front of the passenger pick-up area. I was waiting to pick-up a passenger, who was traveling with a small child, when I received a phone call from the passenger asking if I could wait just a few more minutes on her while she was waiting for her luggage to be shuttled out from underneath the plane.
From economics to employment, The Empire State has so much to offer. Because of New York’s geographic location, culture, and tourism, it is an exceptional state to live in. One of the important factors is that the geographic location of New York is as good as it gets when it comes to traveling and transportation. The John F. Kennedy International Airport in Queens, New York had more than 59 million passengers in 2016 making it the fifth busiest airport in the United States (citation).
An interesting part of that area is Wall Street, where all the stocks are traded. Next, you go on to midtown, where they will make a stop at Central Park. You can stay longer than the 5 minute break, and catch the next double-decker if you choose. The tour then continues on to uptown, pointing out interesting things like Harlem and Columbia University, to name a few. I think New York City would be the perfect place for a class trip.
