L.A.B.S, you have been in a coma for 3 months. The Particle Accelerator had a meltdown and blew up. you and Barry got caught in the blast radius and were immediately hospitalized.” “Why am I here?” I asked. “Well, we transferred you here because you were the two most injured and needed help immediately.” “What about Barry?” I asked. “Oh, he’s over there in physical therapy. The meltdown blast got to him worse than it got to you.” As I get up I feel… weird, weirder than normal. “Hey Barry.” “Hi Tyler,i've missed talking to you for a month” “wait how long did you?...” “Two months” “Oh well what's new?” we share a light chuckle. Barry smiles “A new coffee shop opened up right around the corner, you wanna go?” “Not so fast you two, you guys are still patients of this facility and we need to do tests to make sure you are ok.” Barry and I exchange glances “I feel fine, and I look even better, … if it's possible” I say. From a young age, I was very curious. Curiosity caused my mind to see everything from a different perspective than most. I saw what could be improved and how I could improve. For example, when it came to editing movies, I was always able to see what could how it could have been better or I questioned how they had created it. My curiosity led me to try many different activities throughout high school, such as film camps, stage managing for plays, yearbook, and even creating videos for Rochester High School’s awards day. Finally, my junior year, I decided it was time I made films of my own for competitions. I wanted to have something that I could call my own. When it came to the two films I did for contests, I was there throughout the whole process.

On my hospital bed, I sit and stretch out my arms to relieve some nervous tension. My room is nothing but dull grey walls and the smell of disinfectant. My ears perk up as I listen to doctors and nurses conversing outside. Their voices grow louder and louder as I hear their feet coming closer to my door. I crane my neck towards sounds, only to spot the brass knob of my door turning. My heart begins to race and my breathing becomes shallower. I quickly pull out a pocketknife from under my pillow and slip it into my pants pocket. Stealthily, I roll out of bed, forgetting about the various tubes attached to my body. I wince in pain and tears well up in my eyes as they get yanked ou...
The things that shape us as individuals into who we are now, and who we want to be are all different. Everyone has unique events in their life that caused them to have make tough decisions, and decide if what happened will make them or break them. These key events are what make our own personal origin story. Now our stories may not be as exciting as Wonder Woman or other well-known super heroes; however they are what makes us who we are and who we hope to eventually become. The home I grew up in getting foreclosed, straining my hip flexor really bad and having to go through physical therapy, and the story of my first car are the three impactful events that create my origin story.
A calm crisp breeze circled my body as I sat emerged in my thoughts, hopes, and memories. The rough bark on which I sat reminded me of the rough road many people have traveled, only to end with something no one in human form can contemplate.
...d shots and Alan’s hand had gotten hit. The boys were back inside and the police called and told them that Doctor Curt had arrived. Doctor Curt spoke to the boys and told them that the first shot had been an accident; and that he had read the paper and it looked fine, so they could come out. The kids all walked out, they dropped their guns and were handcuffed, except for Zach who went to his mother and got his medication.
Thumbs Out A girlfriend of mine once defended me to her father by saying, calmly, “Not everyone who wanders is lost.” The dad kicked me out of the house anyway. But the damage had been done. Not everyone who wanders is lost.
I awoke to the noise of my friends yelling and laughing next door. It was a bright sunshiny day. The breeze through the window was nice and warm. My mom was at work, but my dad was home. I spent the day playing next door until my mom got home from work. My dad left for work every day at 3:30pm. I ran down the side of the fence until there was a break that I went through to get through my yard. Once I got in doors my mom told me that we were going to head into town, and I asked if my friend, Brittany, could come with us. She said that would be fine and to just run to her house and let her mom know. Who knew this trip into town was going to be a big deal and a lot of trouble.
