I awoke to the noise of my friends yelling and laughing next door. It was a bright sunshiny day. The breeze through the window was nice and warm. My mom was at work, but my dad was home. I spent the day playing next door until my mom got home from work. My dad left for work every day at 3:30pm. I ran down the side of the fence until there was a break that I went through to get through my yard. Once I got in doors my mom told me that we were going to head into town, and I asked if my friend, Brittany, could come with us. She said that would be fine and to just run to her house and let her mom know. Who knew this trip into town was going to be a big deal and a lot of trouble. Getting to town was a short drive. I love to listen to the radio, so that helped the car ride go much faster. When we first go into town mom wanted to get a drink from the gas station. We stopped at the gas station on the coroner of Dexter and Main Street. She came back out and said “they don’t have the drink there, let’s go to Marathon.” I wanted to go into that gas station. They had this little corner of toys, and I loved to go look at them. When mom parked the car, we all got out and went into the gas station. Mom went back to the …show more content…
I was still looking at the toys. Brittany had pointed out the mood rings that were little below eye level. We both put one on our finger and looked up at each other. Brittany asked if my mom would buy them for us. I looked up at the price and at 4.99 and ring I said “no, my mom wouldn’t.” With the rings both on our fingers she said very quietly “let’s steal them.” I looked down at the ring, it was a green/gray. In my mind I didn’t see how this could ever go wrong. I looked over at my mom and she was talking with the gentlemen at the register. I looked back at Brittany, and she put hers in her pocket. With big eyes she rushed me to put my ring in my pocket, and I
Then when my mom was standing there my sister wandered off by herself. My mom said, “Valerie what other ride do you want to go on?” Valerie didn’t reply back so my mom yelled, “VALERIE WHAT OTHER RIDE DO YOU WANT TO GO ON?” Valerie still didn’t reply back. So when my mom turned around she wasn’t there. My mom yelled “Valerie where are you.” When I got off of the
Growing up as an only child I made out pretty well. You almost can’t help but be spoiled by your parents in some way. And I must admit that I enjoyed it; my own room, T.V., computer, stereo, all the material possessions that I had. But there was one event in my life that would change the way that I looked at these things and realized that you can’t take these things for granted and that’s not what life is about.
A calm crisp breeze circled my body as I sat emerged in my thoughts, hopes, and memories. The rough bark on which I sat reminded me of the rough road many people have traveled, only to end with something no one in human form can contemplate.
I was lying in my bed, shocked and didn’t know what to do. Right then, my sister Kathryn, came out of her bedroom and went down the stairs. Me and my sister, Amanda, jumped up out of our bunk beds and followed after Kathryn. “Why are you here?” Said Kathryn. It was six o’clock in the morning and a policeman was standing in our living room. Well, I guess that’s one way to start a morning. He told us that he had been notified that there was a child in the road a couple blocks aways. He said that she told them her name was Heather and she only had pajamas on and no shoes. My sister Hannah came upstairs and the policeman told her what was going on. Hannah stared at the
When I came inside I was so cold that I felt like a ice cube so my mom made me some hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was steaming hot! I had to wait for 8 mins, but it was worth it because it was so tasty and warm. My mom then told me that dinner was done. When I had smelt the delicious dinner mom made, my stomach had roared with hunger and I swear everyone heard it. We had a giant turkey, some mashed potatoes, and mac cheese it was the perfect family dinner, so delicious. When dinner was done, my mom said I had to lay down for school tomorrow so I leaped in my warm, cozy bed and put the covers over me and my mom said “Goodnight.” Man, today just seemed to fly by so quickly with all the excitement I had. As i drifted off to sleep all i could think about was how much fun my day was and I wish every week we had a snow
It was a sunny Thursday in April and we had just gotten back from spring break. I was tan, well-rested and I still had in my cornrows that I had gotten done in Aruba. After getting my pizza, my mom told me we were going to the mall as soon as I finished. Slightly confused, I ate my pizza and got in the car. Once at the mall, we looked around the dress section of Lord and Taylor. I picked a fun, ruffled yellow dress. I went to try it on, but it sadly did not fit. While we were walking to put back the dress, a familiar voice shouted, “Surprise!”
Personal Narrative There lay her limp body staring up at us. Her cold eyes were no longer
Leaving the bodies for last we walked down the drive to take a look. Several rifles and shotguns were leaned carefully again the big oak. Two handguns and some knives were on the grass in front of them. Four people dangled from a branch of the tree close enough to each other to bump like a weird wind chime. A young couple and the other twice their age at a guess from the gray hair and styles of dress. They were probably parents and a married son or daughter with their spouse. Other than being hung there were no injuries apparent on any of the four. From the condition of the bodies they had been dead about a day.
On the Monday October 27th, 2014, for the first time in 4 years I did not wake up at 5:30 in the morning, I was not putting on a green skivvy shirt and shorts. There was no formation, no one that was higher command I had to report to, telling me where I had to go, what time I had to eat breakfast, what was I doing this day or what our platoon plans were for the day. There were no PT (physical training) I had to do this morning. Instead, I woke up grab a regular t-shirt, khaki shorts, and my two sea bags full of clothing and gear that I collected during my time in the Marine Corps. I threw everything in my vehicle and drove from Camp Pendleton, California to Quincy, Illinois. Within two weeks I was accepted to Southern Illinois University Carbondale. For three days, I stayed at the
Melanie woke up with nothing other than research on her mind. She knew that her last name was Easton and so was her mother's. What she didn't know was if that was her mother’s married name, or for that matter, if her mother had ever been married.
One sunny afternoon my friends and I decided to go on a road trip to a small resort. We packed everything up and decided on the way across the Wisconsin Bridge that we all wanted to go to the Wisconsin Dells. This car ride was about to be long because not everyone in the car gets along.
I looked at the tickets in my hand, and then imagined the smile on Joshua’s face as I handed him a new guitar. I quickly put the tickets up for sale on the internet, and in less than five minutes I had an offer. A girl messaged me and said that she would give me $20 more than asking price. The girl and I met at the local music store, and she gave me the $200, and I grudgingly handed over my two BTS concert tickets. The girl thanked me and walked away as quickly as a cheetah, like if she didn’t I would change my mind and take the tickets back. I finally walked in the music shop, and I looked around at all the guitars before finding one that was blue and black, two of his favorite colors. The guitar jumped down from the shelf and into
If time could stand still or even go back I would make it so I never moved and to be back with him. I miss his short blonde hair and his bright blue eyes. My names Dakota I have brown hair and hazel eyes. I used to live in California till I moved to Moscow due to my families issues in California. Let’s rewind time to before I moved so I can tell you my story.
My alarm clock ringed off at 4am, buzzing underneath my pillow. Immediately, I got up and switched it off hoping no one would awaken. The room was extremely quiet, faintly hear my brother snoring in the room across me. The raindrops on my window were starting to multiply, the sky becoming darker. I was worried. I didn’t know if this was the right thing to do, but I reassured myself that everything would work out. I grabbed my old bag that my mother bought me as a gift for Christmas. It was leather, built with sturdy straps and two slots with zippers that could fit almost everything inside. I grabbed the polished keys from my dresser, opening the window ever so slightly. I quickly hopped out and ran towards the old motorcycle, started the engine,
It was just another day of my life. The fourth ring of my alarm woke me up. As usual, I was not feeling to go in school. I slept a couple of more minutes. After while, the shine of the sun coming from the window woke me up.I slowly stretched my arms and slid out of bed. I brushed my teeth and took the shower. Downstair,my mother was calling me for breakfast.I was still undecided what should wear for school. After browsing for while I found something to wear, and finished getting myself ready for school. When I checked the clock, I was running late as usual, which was not a surprised. I quickly ate my half sandwich and left the rest of the sandwich on the table.I took my car key, jump in my black Lexus and made my way to school.During my way to school, I got a call from my friend John. John is my best friend since when we were in middle school. He told me that his car was broke down and he needed to ride to school. Fortunately, my friend house on my school way. I told my friend. I am on my way to pick you up from your house. As I got there, john come out from his house and jumped in my car. With sound of Drake singing and music blasting, it was a
