Did you know that the Great Dane dog is one of the biggest breeds of dogs in the world? Great Danes normally get up to 34 inches from the back, but they can get bigger. These types of dogs are normally referred to as “gentle giants”, they are very nice and not very good guard dogs because they are very gentle. Great Danes can be born with many different coat colors. From birth to and adult Danes stay calm, gentle, and still giant. Speaking of that, Great Danes are like a watermelon, they are big but super sweet. Even though Danes are huge, they could live in an apartment and still have a great life. And actually this type of bread likes smaller spaces because they do not need that big a space.. Everywhere you go with a Great Dane, you will be stopped because people love Danes! They also attract a lot of attention and hordes of people. Great Danes don’t actually need much food because they don’t eat that much. If you want a Great Dane you should know that they are good pets!
You might ask why I like Great Danes so much. I like Danes because my family has been breeding since I was very little, and I have grown up playing with pups and the bigger dogs. Great Danes have entertained me most of my life, and they are such loving dogs. I

My mom surprised me by telling me we were gonna get a dog! When I saw Bailey, I definitely was surprised and a little scared, she was huge! I loved Bailey, but when I turned five we got another dog! Her name was Bella. At age eight we bred Bailey with a breeder in Ohio, and that year she had 13 puppies but my favorite was Sammy. Sammy was gonna be our male dog to breed with Bella when he got older, so we kept him. At the end of these years Bailey always had pups and so did Bella. The last two years that we bred we got two more dogs named, Carly and Eli, they were great. When I turned 12 we stopped breeding and kept the all the dogs. But after all my Great Dane journey was
Are these dogs misunderstood? In reality a dog is a reflection of its human, they see you as a pack leader they are who you raise them to be no matter the breed. If you neglect your puppy by chaining them up outside their whole life or keep them in
Have you ever wondered what German Shepherds do other than play fetch, eat, and sleep? Most people that own dogs teach them to sit, stay, come, and they also teach them to obey their owners. They are the family pets that sit on our laps all the time, bark at people when they come to the door, and chase the mailman in the summer when the family is outside. Work dogs have jobs such as being police dogs, military dogs, guide dogs, and herding dogs.
Having a dog can be a great experience for people who enjoy their company. These animals are usually friendly and active; they are intelligent and can develop a strong relationship with their owners based on love and care. However, having dogs is a big responsibility for the person who owns them, because they are animals, so they cannot support themselves. Dogs need someone who can feed them, give them love, and someone who can help them exercise. Moreover, these animals need big spaces in order to run and develop their muscles, so the owner has to know that he needs to take a walk with the dog several times a day.
...r our 220 pound Great Dane that towered over us. With proper care and love throughout their lives, these dogs did nothing but warm our hearts.
First, I would like to make a point to clarify our topic. It’s not about how large dogs are better than small dogs or small dogs are better than large ones. It’s about how aggressive they are towards us and other animals. I have a large dog of my own, in fact I love having her around. But, this doesn’t make her an angel at all!
I know the biggest discussion when you are about to get a new pet is; am I a cat person or dog person? I’m about to solve your confusion. 62% of United States homes have at least one pet. Overall, homes that claim to have pets 78 million of them are dogs and 86 million are cats. These numbers are misleading, according to a survey in the Reader’s Digest 41% identified that they were cat people where as 74% were dog people (Reader’s Digest). My sister is a major dog person she can’t live without them some days. Her latest addition to the family is a Vizsla puppy named toby. According to her the nick name of this breed is a Velcro dog, it’s loyal to a fault and whimpers at the sight of you walking away. Then my mom would never admit it but I think she is a cat person. I am sure of this by her loving nature, and sometimes individual attitude. To be completely honest, I am a little of both. I have an Australian cattle dog which is the most adorable lovable herding dog that looks like a little dingo. On the other hand, I have a tabby cat that loves to curl up with me in front of a fireplace with a good book.
But, thanks to the Danes size and loyalty to their owners has turned this breed into an effective service dogs for those in need of one. I know that there are many of you thinking that the size of the dog is over bearing and would hurt someone. When you use a service dog for mobility they need to be calm, large, and sturdy and the Dane seems to fit this bill well
There are many different breeds of dogs in this world, therefore I’m going to compare the similarities and contrast the differences between only three unique, resourceful, yet loyal dogs. These dogs are the Beagle, German Shepard, and Rough Collie. The similarities between the Beagle, German Shepard, and Rough Collie are that they’re very popular towards many dog owners. They remain loyal to dog owners, and because of these particular traits that the dogs show they
Beagles are one of the most beloved dogs in America; look at Snoopy, he's pretty popular. Even Queen Elizabeth had a beagle. If Queen Elizabeth liked her beagle, other people will probably love them too. As of 2014, beagles were the 5th most popular dog in America. And if you don't already know, a beagle is a dog breed. So let me tell you some facts about them.
My mother taught me how to pick out the dog that's right for you. You just stare into the dog's eyes, and if you can see his/her soul then they're the one. That's how I chose my dog, Spicy, when I was a child. Being a kid, I thought I was just getting a new toy; something that I could play with in the absence of human friends. I couldn't imagine that I was gaining a new family member.
Do you want a high or low energy dog? Do you want a small or big one? Do you like long walks? Do you want an easy dog to train? Do you have any children?
As a kid, I fell in love with the idea of getting a puppy for Christmas. Wrapped in a small box with a bow on top sitting under the tree just like the movies and tv shows I had seen. I can remember making a Christmas list of all the things I wanted that year, and every year the same thing that I wanted had said “puppy” with it underlined so that my mother knew which was my favorite on the list. Every year no surprise, I didn’t find a dog. I never understood why I never received one. When the kids at school talked about the few dogs they had at home made me so jealous, but I hoped that one day it would be me to have my own best friend at home.
Owning a Pet Having a pet is a wonderful idea! Pets bring companionship, personality, and gut wrenching humor to households across the world. Having previously owned both a cat and a dog, and currently being without a pet, I began to think about getting a new furry friend. Born a dog lover, and bred into a cat lover, I had the difficult decision of choosing one of the two. When I was twenty-two years old, I answered an advertisement in the paper for free Labrador puppies.
When I was nine years old my grandparents adopted a two year puppy named, maximilian. We, of course, called him Max. When we went to the kennel to pick out a new dog Max didn 't seem like an option. He was a scrawny little puppy tucked in the corner of the shelter. Max was a boisterous springer spaniel mix, and when we first got him he was black and white. Overtime his white fur was masked by black spots, similar to age spots, which made him uniquely mine. Max was suppose to my grandfathers new hunting dog when he was newly adopted. However, at the very first gunshot Max bolted and my grandfather spent a three hours looking for Max in the woods. After the hunting incident my grandfather wrote Max off and, he became my dog.
