INTRO: Behind every success story is an embarrassing first effort, a stumble, a setback or a radical change of direction. It’s these first clumsy steps on the road to fame and fortune that create the road map for your definition of success. There will be tough times there will be set backs and obstacles along the way. For what would life be without them? It would be very blend and flavorless I would say. Adversity is what gives us our learning and teaching. One of my favorite quotes is “Experience is the best teacher, but her fees are high” that’s because through experience comes adversity and hard times. Through those obstacles and hard times come the acquired steps and directions to move forward in life. It’s meant to turn your trial into …show more content…
Honestly the majority of the time that a challenge comes along, its really just an opportunity for you to have a new experience. As I always say challenges provide some type of learning experience, or you never know there may be a major blessing or pot of gold waiting on the other side of the rainbow. Not to mention we all know that after every thunderstorm the sun eventually shines and there is a rainbow, and sometimes it’s a double rainbow. The recipe of resilience is very simple once you began to have the proper outlook on life. Your perception must be on point. I am a foodie, which means that I love to eat. I enjoy cooking and eating all types of foods. I even tell people at times that eating is like a sport to me, I do it with passion. Its just one of those things that I truly enjoy, and trust me I know how to do it very well. Now I want you to think about this right here. Lets say that you decided that you wanted to bake a cake, or that you wanted to make one of your grandmas famous peach cobblers. You may give your grandma a call and ask her what her recipe is correct? Or if you were baking a box cake you would have to take a look at the ingredients on the back to make sure
Adversities are often given a negative connotation and view, as most consider them to be hurdles which impede progress. Nevertheless when taken in and accepted under a positive light, adversities can serve as stepping stones through which an individual can better their character. In the face of looming obstacles individuals who persevere come out of the situation as stronger, determined, and more hopeful for the future.
My philosophy of success, is me growing into the person I want to become and being comfortable with the choices I decide to make in life. Success is not something I can achieve overnight, it’s something I must plan for then proceed to working hard for it as well. Without hard work, there isn’t anything successful about the job I want to get done or the job I wish to get done. Doing anything without hard work and dedication, and expecting the best outcome is not success; it’s mediocrity. Being mediocre/ will only allow me or anyone else to have a ‘Victim’s Mindset.’
Adversity can wreck your life. Adversity can lay you so low that you never recover. But if you stand up to adversity, it can also make you stronger, wiser, and more compassionate. No matter what your background, no matter what your family life is like, and no matter what obstacles are thrown your way, if you have someone who loves you and looks out for you and if you have a
... (I never get tired of eating it). As a human I find food tasting better when I am hungry. In addition, I must admit I am a picky eater, which sometimes prevents my mom from cooking different types of food. Possibly the best thing about being an eater is that you avoid the difficulties of preparing the meal, especially when you are known to cause messes in the kitchen.
Success is all around us. As we look around, we see new technology advancements, new businesses being constructed, and personal goals being met. The world is constantly growing when success is achieved. There are countless, distinctive stories that end with a successful outcome and originated from various beginnings. Some of which we see within our own walls. Yes, we constantly look at the final product, but have we ever wondered how that success came to be? It is often not luck that brings success, it's the ambition.
Overcoming adversity is imperative. In fact, you can 't have the happiness and success you want unless you have adversity in your life and overcome it. It is essential for progressing into who you want to be. It shows you what you are made of. It teaches you more about yourself, how to approach what you want, and how to maintain the success that you have. Without it, you wouldn 't know how far you could go or how capable you are because you wouldn 't have anything to push you or compare to.
I believe that hard work is the real treasure of a person because without hard work we cannot achieve our dreams and goals in life. No one can achieve success without doing hard work. It starts when we stop looking for alternatives or shortcuts towards success. We need to remember that there are no short cuts to success. Hard work, complimented with an intense desire to struggle and to achieve success is the only sure way of reaching success that you have always wanted. Hard work is one of the secret for us to be successful in life. Laziness and sluggishness makes one’s life a curse and only hard work can make your life a blessing. We cannot work hard if we don’t have goals. The meaning of goal according to Wikipedia is a desired result of a
We all encounter obstacles constantly throughout our lives. Challenges are an important part of a person's development because their outlook on the situation and trial ahead of them can often reveal who they truly are.
The true definition of success is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. Although, many people have different perceptions of success. Success is judged by the individuals themselves. I love food! I mean, who doesn’t? Sweet food, spicy food, Mexican food, Chinese food, the list could go on forever. We all have our own preference or favorite dish. My favorite is corned beef and cabbage. Being of Irish American descent, this dish was tradition in my house on St. Patrick’s Day. Just mentioning corned beef and cabbage brings me back to my childhood, watching my mother prepare it and waiting to taste the salty meat that as a child I called the “stringy meat.”
Is there someone you know that is wealthy and prominent? Do they demonstrate the characteristics of a successful person in today’s society? Media today has effectively convinced our society into accepting an untrue, even possibly hazardous definition of success. Even though Webster’s dictionary defines success as “achieving wealth, respect, and fame,” the definition of success is different for everyone. Society wants us to accept that having money, having big house, and owning multiple cars is the key to happiness, and henceforth, success. This is a lie; success is not having a large amount of money nor does it have to deal with fame.
come to one 's mind. All I thought as a little girl was what to play with next. Of course school
Success or excellence is often achieved through failure. Often times when we get a result that we did not want, we blame it on fate or bad luck and decide not to try again, but in reality this is when a person should keep on trying again and again. A person who has not had failures in their life does not know of the true meaning of success; because being successful is not always getting it on your first try or by chance, but by taking the time to learn from our mistakes and fix them. Like Walt Disney, who also had a rough start to success, was fired by a newspaper editor because, "he lacked imagination and had no good ideas." After that, Walt Disney tried to start a number of businesses, but they did not last long and ended with bankruptcy and failure.
Adversities can range from hardships involving loved ones, finances, surroundings to even within one's mental state. When speaking for myself, there were times where difficulties hit the hardest. Moments when being shoved into something unfamiliar stirred unwanted emotions within the body. Those exact same emotions which lead to stress. Naturally, with time's healing and teachings, I'll raise myself up again, only with a difference of becoming stronger than the person who I once was. Along the way of this curing, support will be given and morals will be learnt. After all, adversities are what makes one's journey to destiny only
...destination. Our setbacks are part of our path and destiny. Take your failure as a measure of your commitment to your vision. For example, Martin Luther King had “a dream” – that and only that pulled him through all his failures! Get comfortable with smaller steps. As they say: “If you fall off a horse, try to get on a pony.”
