constructing their own knowledge like what Piaget believed. Personal Development Plan My personal development plan to achieve my philosophy is by improving my skills in time management where I must create my own schedule to balance my career and family and follow the schedule with discipline. By doing this I will not have to drag the time to finish my assignment last minute and I will have more time for my family bonding. Before these can happen successfully I will have to practice to follow the schedule in a discipline manner. I will also need to read books on time management to further understand it. Besides I also can read online articles and journals about career woman managing both work and family well and putting family first before work but also not jeopardising the …show more content…
This is clearly shown in the comment in Appendix 1, where the lecturer commented that “the chemistry lesson is age appropriate with achievable objectives. Evaluation can be more objective. Good Attempt”. This shows that I clearly in consolidate stage according to Lilian Katz, where my lesson plan is fine but I must improve on my evaluation, so there needs improvement here and there before reaching the perfection stage which is the renewal stage. In appendix 2 the lecturer gave me a better suggestion on extending the activity by children making a play dough which was helpful and I even tried it with the children and it was very interesting on how the children compare the ‘oobleck’ and the play dough. So I learnt how to plan the activity for children in a board perspective and any activity that is age appropriate can be done with the children for their
For all teens, the transition into adulthood is generally seen as a challenging and scary process. For teens diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as well as their caregivers, this transition is often more complicated. The period of transition for individuals with ASD into adulthood is intensely more challenging due to their “unique characteristics, the lack of services that address the special needs of such individuals in adulthood, and the expectations of society for a typical path to adulthood in the face of atypical problems” (Geller and Greenberg, 2009, pg. 93). Without the necessary resources to transition, teens with ASD find themselves unprepared for life at work, in college, or community living. Through this paper, the reader will obtain knowledge in regards to what ASD is, the barriers it yields concerning the transition into adulthood, and the effects it has on the individual as well
At the beginning of this paper I mentioned that there are eight stages in the psychosocial development theory starting with trust vs. mistrust. This stage begins at birth to one year of age. This is when I should have formed a trust with my primary caregiver or caregivers. My dad was absent most of this stage, so my mother was my primary caregiver. Since she never taught me good behavior, right from wrong, and was uncaring when I was born, I did not feel safe or secure around her. I was told through family members that she was unable to hold me without me screaming all the time, and that the doctor said I suffered from anxiety at infancy because I could feel the tension of my mother’s stress, anger, and anxiety towards me. The beginning of me learning to mistrust, and feeling
The first part of this essay will name the factors that have shaped and influenced my personal and professional development as a social work practitioner by discussing my cultural journey, moving around, being bullied and my family dynamic. It will also show how these influences connect with my practice framework, explore, and analyse the relationship between the various components of my framework. The next part of my essay will use Fook & Gardner (2007) to answer the following questions What are the gaps and contradictions between what I say I do (my practice framework) and what is implied by what i did in my video. How did I influence the situation through my presence, actions, preconceptions, or assumptions, other people 's perceptions of
One branch of psychology is known as lifespan psychology, which is the study of the development of humans from birth until death. The study of a person’s lifespan is used to help other people overcome their developmental challenges through learning about how others deal with the various stages of development. According to Robert S. Feldman (2017) “lifespan development examines the way in which people develop physically, intellectually, and socially.” (p. 1) One of the best sources on how to get through a developmental period in life is to ask someone who has already gone through that phase. Therefore, Linda Peevely agreed to answer a few questions about the different stages she has gone through in her 77 years of life.
Staff need to review the training they have accessed and hold reflective discussions around how this has improved their practice and impacted on children’s outcomes.
Potential aims and plans to accomplish need to remain stable.
Personal development is the process of maintaining one’s well being in terms of physical, social and psychological aspects. It is the constant process of developing and enhancing personality through learning and socialization processes. Undoubtedly, for personal development, certain skills and knowledge are required to be achieved. Armstrong (2006) rightly says that the personal development plan incorporates a wider set of learning and development activities such as self-managed learning, coaching and mentoring. In fact, it can be assumed that the skills and knowledge are not inborn or ascribed but are achieved in a course of time.
As Christians look to further their relationship with Christ, growth needs to happen. As growth happens, Christians become closer to God and can grow in him. Without growth, there is nothing that will allow us desiring a deeper relationship with our God. Growth in both our faith and our personal growth allows us to see the different ways in how God can continue to transform our lives and draw closer to him. The Bible consists of many different stories in which God revealed himself to different people to show his power. The Bible also provides us with ways to live our lives and provide us with guidelines that give us a clearer path of who God wants us to be as his children. This will allow us to walk closer with him providing us with a better chance of growing spiritually.
Change is an inevitable part of life, and includes those things we want to happen as well as situations that we wish were different. No matter how you feel about the transition, it might be challenging for you to adapt to the new way. In that case, a life transition coach might be the ideal solution for you! It is important to distinguish between a life coach and a transition life coach. When you are working with a life coach, you might opt to make changes along the way that the coach can help you with. However, a life transition coach can help you cope with things that have already happened. Everyone goes through at least one major life change, most people having several throughout the course of their adulthood. While some might be categorized
Academic development is a very broad subject that involves navigating the university system, finding good resources and finding academic advising. Another aspect of academic development is understanding teaching styles and learning styles as well as how to make the learning process of different teachers work for you. For a world class student all of these aspects of academic development are very crucial to reaching their goal of becoming a mechanical engineer. First aspect of academic development that a world class student would have is good navigation of the university system. He would know where everything is on campus as well as he would know how classes work and how the grading system of college was put together. He would have also planned
The first thing that comes to my mind about the phrase ‘Personal Development’ is like a process of self improvement and growth. Its not only about what others expect from you but the key is what I imagine from myself. For example like me, the University life is to learn how to be a successful mass communicator and not many will actually achieve it with excellence result but rather it’s the process of learning what we don’t know. Its about the journey of learning new things, overcome difficulties and gain knowledge from it. And this is the way I continuously looking for methods to make refined progresses in my life. In addition, I have to know my strengts and weaknesses because
I began to get fascinated by our capitalist world’s economy at a very early age of my life. Growing up, I was incredibly curious to unravel how systems function, and this curiosity developed into a burning desire to learn how processes and organizations operate and run our world. As I started my first job, I realized how much I needed to be better acquainted with the science of money making and the scientific approaches to money management. Later on in my life, being within a company system, I wanted to see the big picture by learning where such a company stands in the midst of all other business interactions locally and internationally. Being involved in the company’s practices I started analyzing the methods used by my managers, the causes and consequences of their managerial choices.
come to one 's mind. All I thought as a little girl was what to play with next. Of course school
Being a reformer relates heavily to my schema, unrelenting standards. The reason I need to be an investigator is because I always want to make the best decision for everyone in everything that I do. Things need to be positive, balanced, and I need to do things honestly and with integrity. My decisions needs to be based on objective and measurable factors, and I try to push emotions to the side because those are subjective and often unreliable. Since everything was on my shoulders as a child, I feel like it still is as an adult. Once I learn that something needs to be fixed, I want to start to make changes immediately in order to grow. I expect that if other people truly care or are passionate about something that they
