It might be surprising too many but the journey of Nightlight Adoption agency program all begins with the desire to be parents. Not only does it help women become pregnant but it also allows them the opportunity to be able to carry a child. Thus, giving the opportunity for couples that are not able to get pregnant to be able to start a family of their own. Along with still having the same experience of pregnancy as oppose to just adopting a child that is already born. However, is this program really a good option to become parents? In my opinion it is not the best option for several reasons. Surprisingly enough, I am not in favor of embryo adoption because it is crossing the line between religion and biology. One thing is adopting a child that is already born and that has been taken away from their parents because they were not able to provide for the child or because the parents had unplanned pregnancies. ... to fairly enforce such a program. This objection was backed by multiple scenarios which demonstrated that most punishments are implausible. In response to this objection, I discussed Lafollette’s idea of removing children and putting them up for adoption. This plan involved orphanages or third party adoption indefinitely or until their biological parents became licensed. I also formulated an enforcement plan consisting of heavy fines and jail time for unauthorized children. Although this plan is harsh, it is fair and enforceable, thereby refuting the objection that there is no way to enforce parent certification. This paper discussed objections and responses to Lafollette’s argument which concluded in the reaffirmation that parent licensing is a possibility.
Working with children, young people and their families can be seen as difficult and complex for many different reasons. However, before these topics can be discussed and explored fully, it is important to completely understand the difference between the words ‘difficult’ and ‘complex’. ‘Difficult’ implies that things are not easily or readily done, where it requires much effort much effort, labour and skill to be performed effectively. In the same way, ‘complex’ implies a hard to deal with situation, but also involves many interconnected parts or complicated arrangements that consist of emotional attachment.
Parents have the tendency to overlook how lucky they are to have had the ability to create their own children. Many do not recognize what a true blessing it is to have kids, and that others are not fortunate enough to experience that miracle. Ten percent of couples endure infertility (Advantages) so they must consider other options. A very popular choice is adoption. It is not only a good alternative for the couple, but also for the child who needs a loving home.
Poverty is a cause of adoption of children today. Some of the people in the vast population of developing countries are languishing in poverty. The gap between the poor and the rich is widening with time and this has led to increase in poverty levels in various parts of the world. This is where Canadian individuals, unable to have children of their own, or wanting to make a difference in a child’s life become parents and saviors.

She should have brown eyes, dark brown hair, and a pretty smile. Or do I want a little boy, so I can raise him to be a football quarterback. Do I want to be buying pink princess costumes or scary monster costumes? Am I even ready to care for another person? People question themselves while deciding whether or not adoption is the right choice for them. Not all hopeful, soon-to-be parents pass the first set of qualifications. Every adoption’s goal is to bring a son or daughter into a new family. However, each type also has different processes and qualifications. In addition to the qualifications, the government has established legislation to safeguard the adoption process. As adoption rates grow, so do the controversies surrounding adoption. When a couple or individual decides to adopt a child, they know they are going to take on the responsibility of taking care of someone else’s child. Due to the biological parent(s) who can’t take care of that child anymore, because of either drug abuse, alcohol abuse, abuse to the child or if the parent(s) had died and there is no other care for the child. So that’s why this gives other couples who cannot have kids, the opportunity to promise themselves to be a great parent to a child in need. Though there are some bad things about adoption as well. Some people nurture children depending on their own ways. Others get advice from friends or books. Parenting can be divided into three groups: authoritative, permissive, and democratic parenting.
Parents and their parenting style play an important role in the development of their child. In fact, many child experts suggest that parenting style can affect a child’s social, cognitive, and psychological development which influence not just their childhood years, but it will also extend throughout their adult life. This is because a child’s development takes place through a number of stimuli, interaction, and exchanges that surround him or her. And since parents are generally a fixed presence in a child’s life, they will likely have a significant part on the child’s positive or negative development (Gur 25).
When it comes to taking care of a family, the environment plays a huge factor in the children’s life (Reyes, 2007). Their environment shapes their character, social groups and perception of reality. Youth from low SES areas are more susceptible to poor behaviours, such as, drug use or dealing, delinquent behaviours, risky sexual activities or earlier pregnancies (Voisin et al, 2016). The incomes of the parents do not play a huge factor in determining parenting styles (Anton, Jones & Youngstrom, 2015; Chang et al, 2006), but it does play a factor in determining their socioeconomic status. In recent studies, there is a lack of evidence stating that parents of high SES parent in a certain way and parents
