When it comes to my studies and work, I am a very focused and determined individual. Because of this, I want to live with others who share my focus and determination. A themed or learning community offers the perfect opportunity for this. As such, the idea of living in such a place interests me greatly. Being surrounded by others who have the same or a greater work ethic and dedication to a particular field as I do would enhance my education immensely. I would like to be a part of the Future Medical Professionals community because I plan to go into the medical field. I am majoring in Biomedical Science, and I would like to attend a pharmacy graduate program. Living in this community would create a medical-based atmosphere outside of the classroom.
The American work ethic is something our country should be proud of. Since the days of George Washington Americans have worked hard for what they believe in, what they need, and what they want. It is our right as Americans to be able to work for these ideals. Without out a strong work ethic our country would crumble. From businessmen to politicians a strong work ethic is necessary to keep our country financially and politically stable.

By being in Philadelphia, I feel I will be able to supplement my medical education through networking with other students and schools in the region. Because Philadelphia has a number of medical schools in the area, I feel that I would be able to cooperate with other students to become an active member in the Philadelphia community. By involving myself with medical student organizations that network with other schools, I feel as though there would be great potential to have an impact on the surrounding communities. Overall, my special interest in TUSM results from a supportive and inspiring faculty, a comprehensive curriculum integrated with clinical experience, a magnificent facility with the most up to date technology, and a familiar environment with great potential for involvement in the community.
The PA program at MCPHS in Boston is located perfectly next to some of the best healthcare institutions in the country such as Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Boston Children’s Hospital. It is a sanctuary for students looking to get involved in healthcare. Aspiring PA students such as myself, hoping to gain valuable healthcare experience can expect to do so through these renowned facilities. Professionally, I aim to work in the business side of medical technology or healthcare and the fact that the PeriOperative team allows me to gain exposure to working in the field through an impactful project excites me greatly. As a student athlete, an entire new roster of teammates can cause a lack of fluidity and success. In terms of medical school, I tend to view campuses in terms of a new team. While learning about WVSOM, I immediately felt a sense of community, as well as companionship between students and faculty. In pursuit of upholding the college’s mission, there is a steadfast goal to serve the community, to build fellowship, and create primary care physicians with aims to aid underserved areas.
In the future, I wish to obtain an occupation in the medical field. I would like to start out by working for a Biology major and working in a premedical field in college where I can use my interest in medicine and my curiosity for knowledge to gain insight that would be needed to become a helpful doctor in the medical field. As I move along in my career, I would like to work my way through the pathway so that I can expand my skills in healing others, such as diagnostic abilities, effectively giving treatment and so on. I want to learn as much as possible so I can fulfill my ultimate dream of helping others that need answers to their medical problems and so that more people can live happily and healthily in the world. In the future, I hope to pursue my career dream of becoming a pediatrician. Pediatricians can be identified individuals who specialize in giving medical care to children and adolescents between infancy to adulthood at eighteen years of age. I became inspired to become a pediatrician due to my immense love of children. Perhaps I have an innate intuition for taking care of people being that I have always felt that I excel at taking care of others. The idea of taking care of others truly makes me feel that I serve a purpose, not only to better the life of myself but the life of others. Therefore, I believe that becoming a pediatrician will help me combine the best of both worlds into a career that I adore and cherish.
Throughout my life, I have strived to be a hard-working individual when it comes to school, my job, and family work. I always try to work quickly and efficiently, and make my work the best that it can be. Perfectionism is a major part of my life and that is one of the driving forces behind my hard work. Sometimes the drive to be perfect can limit my results, but I try my hardest to keep it from restricting me. I always give one hundred percent when it comes to completing various tasks, and find pride in being a hard-worker.
My lifetime goal is to make a change; more specifically, to make a change as a doctor. This choice was not based off of prestige, and financial status, but more self-satisfaction; the satisfaction of knowing I can make a difference. Choosing Pre-Med as a major will definitely have me working vigorously, but I have tried to involve myself in activities such as dance, medical trips, and community service to prepare me for the competitive field of health care.
Being a good employee is essential in today’s world, especially in these tough economic times when there are many seeking work. Consequently, it is important to keep in mind that no employee is irreplaceable. While hearing many complain these days about his or her job, one just needs to look around and be thankful that they have the means in which to survive and are able to work. There are many who are not only unemployed, but also unable to perform due to illness or a disability. Sometimes when a person is feeling in a mood to complain, they may need to sit back, relax and take a look around in order to appreciate what they have, and learn how to be a good employee.
