My Smart Goals

My SMART Goals As a student I have many goals and aspirations in life. I want to complete my education, go on to tackling a career, and introducing different elements that go along with the whole aspect of “adulthood.” In order to get there, I must take the necessary steps, one of which is writing out my SMART goals. My first smart goal is completing my high school education. For the past three years I have been putting in the time and effort in order to attain this goal. I’ve stayed up long hours, studied different subjects, and untimely put my heart and soul into receiving one rolled up piece of paper. My goal is to get my diploma on June 9, 2017. In order for me to do so, I must complete the rest of my credits, which includes a history class, an english class, a math class, and a business class. Now this doesn't include cost, in order to graduate I must spend a few hundred dollars for a cap and gown, formal clothing, and invitations if I choose to do so. This is all very much achievable because I have been putting in the work and saving the money to complete my long term, soon to be short term, goal. Along with my previous goal, it has taken many years of hard work and dedication in order to become even close to going to James Madison University. Theres also a lot of planning, for one, I have to take tests, take my classes, configure an application, apply, and hope that I am accepted. I also have to plan financially for a 20,000 dollar tuition fee, annually, for four years, and the 60 dollar fee just to apply. It’s not only a test academically but financially as well. As previously stated I have been putting money away, monthly, to pay for my education and all the necessary fees to make campus life enjoyable, yet financially smart.
