Business has always run in my family. My father arrived in the US with nothing but a high school and now, he works at Toyota as a Finance Manager. Imagine the career I could have with a business degree. I had thought for a long time about the major I should pursue and I have determined that Accounting is the utmost fitting. Your university will assist my efforts of being successful in the business world. I constantly look for different challenges in life and I believe a shift of scenery would be beneficial. I had two wonderful years at the University of Connecticut and I thank them for creating such a healthy environment for students. However, at this point in my education a transfer would be best to remain on track with my aspirations. Most …show more content…
This will assist in separating myself from the rest as I will be further specialized in the field. In addition to these two goals, I also intend to pass the Certified Public Accountant exam. My knowledge of Accounting will be in depth and elite at this point. This will increase the probability of landing a job at a respected firm or company early in my career. After obtaining a job, I will build up a positive reputation for myself through diligent work and networking. Now on top of my degrees and certifications, I will also have valuable experience. Ideally, when I graduate I will obtain a job at one of the Big Four Accounting firms. If I work my way up and be patient I can hopefully earn a position in higher management. It would be my dream to be a Chief Financial Officer. Being held ultimately responsible for an entire firm’s or company’s financial situation seems exciting and a challenge I would be willing to accept. My grade in Financial Accounting prevails at the top of the class. Also, one of the courses for my Spring 2016 semester is Managerial Accounting, in which my grades are near the 100th percentile. These two classes have made the decision clear, my ambition is to be an
My personality and personal experiences have helped me to decide upon accounting as my chosen major. Before I immigrated to the United States in 2010, I had a small business in China for more than nine years. This experience and my desire to be an entrepreneur taught me the importance of accounting. In order to manage my business well, I attended a course in basic accounting at a local training institute. While in training, I learned that I loved working with numbers and applying financial analysis to economic issues. I have a passion for finance, economic issues, accounting principles, and the world of business and this has guided me to pursue an accounting major.
My intended major is Business. Business content is generally a comprehensive accounting, economics, finance, marketing science and organizational behavior concepts. The concept in society is prior to the operation of business and personal financial management on the benefits and influence. Because the relationship between industrialization and information technology services was booming, commercial terms a large number of derivatives, so business is considered in making the business a way to enter the job market prior to the social utility, Therefore, I also chooses Business as my university departments. Because of world trade and development, globalization has made countries increasingly dependent; therefore, business is importance and usefulness of access to the education. As the Busines...
I came to Texas Tech with the goal of graduating with a degree in accounting. I always knew accounting would be a good field for me due to my organizational skills and the fact that every industry needs accountants. However, I had no idea what profession or industry I wanted to go into. In my time here at Texas Tech, I have had valuable experiences and have come up with several goals for events that will occur before and after earning my degree. The short-term goals I set in place for myself are to obtain an assurance internship with a Big 4 accounting firm and to get accepted into the MSA program so that I will be eligible to sit for the CPA exam after graduation. My long-term goals consist of earning a full-time position at the firm I intern at,
Majored in accounting during my undergraduate at Michigan State University, I am determined to be an audit professional at a public accounting firm in Toronto upon graduation from MMPA program. To better qualify myself and equip myself with advanced accounting knowledge, I am dedicated to obtaining the CPA designation as well. In the next three to five years, I see myself being promoted from an associate to a manager who will lead a team and direct a project. Working as a manager in a public accounting firm will definitely sharpen my leadership ability and problem-solving skills, which are prerequisites for my long-term career objective. Ten years down the road, I want to work in the finance department of a public company as CFO or controller,
I am an ambitious young Saudi with a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia. I seek admission to (name of university) to attend the MBA Accounting program as a means to achieve my goals. Such goals are to attain the necessary tools so I may initiate my career as an Accountant at one of Saudi Arabia’s largest corporations and utilize my specialized academic education through my position, while continuing to pursue my professional and personal development for the benefit of both the organization and the attainment of my own professional ambitions. I believe that my enthusiasm, determination and dedication to achieve such goals can be maximized by attending your program.
I am also very outgoing; a strength that is important when you work with clients and colleagues. The demand for accountants is growing tremendously. Overall I want to get a degree in Accounting because this will be the last time I can be academically and intellectually challenged. Where I can learn more about Accounting and all the things I wanted to learn about in school. I plan on also taking the test to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). With becoming a CPA you get the benefit of traveling a lot, which I would like to do when I graduate college.
Being from an academic family where competition between myself and my siblings is an integral part of our way of life I am determined to succeed. This is very similar to businesses as they are always competing to be the best and come out on top. Business requires confidence, which I believe I possess and can use to my advantage in order to gain recognition in this competitive field of work. Since choosing Business Studies at GCSE and continuing it at A-level I have always known that this would be my chosen career. I hope to gain a business degree so that I am able to work in various businesses on an international basis.
Although I said I am not the most confident individual, I can easily see myself becoming an accountant in the years to come. During my brief time at this university, I have already seen myself start to mature as an individual. As a student, I realize there is still much work for me to complete. However, I am finding it much easier to study and push myself to go further than I have before. These changes only seem small right now, but I know they can be limitless. As long as I keep pushing forward and maintain my effort as a student, I will, without a doubt, become a professional who can call himself an
Moreover, the interdisciplinary curriculums designed for students with non-accounting background suit me fine. As a Chinese student majored in electronic commerce and minored in accounting, I hope to take advantage of my disciplinary perspective, dual language ability, and global vision, to understand how business and accounting interacts.
Accounting PhD, I believe, would enable me to channel my quantitative and conceptual skills in analyzing accounting issues opening new opportunities in research. Subsequent to earning a Ph.D., I would like to apply for a faculty position at a leading university; and investigate issues concerned with accounting information systems as it affects decision making, internal control and auditing and assurance services.
My first goal is to continue my education by earning a Master’s degree in Accounting right after completing my bachelor’s degree. The MSU’s Accounting program attracts me for both its reputation and its career opportunities available for international students. It is my responsibility as a future accountant to be really familiar and proficient at the tools accountants use regularly. Achieving my master’s degree will also help me achieving my second goal of becoming a CPA by meeting the requirement of curriculum. Thus, I am professionally and academically motivated to earn a Master’s degree of Accounting at the Broad Business College.
First, I will express my personal mastery journey with my work life. I just recently graduated from the University of Indianapolis with my undergraduate degree in accounting. I graduated with a high GPA while participating in collegiate baseball, which I believe will help set me apart from others when beginning my career. That being said, I also believe that I have a lot of learning to do in order to be successful in my early career. I feel that I did not learn as much as I should have about accounting and I will need to dedicate a significant amount of time relearning and learning to have success in the accounting field. My vision for my career is to be a partner at a mid-level accounting firm in my early to mid 30’s. I aspire to be at a company that challenges me and allows me to progress and meet my goals. I would prefer a mid-level accounting firm because it would allow a better work life balance due to less hours. In order for me to bridge this very large gap of where I am currently at and where I aspire to be, there are a great deal of obstacles I need to overcome. First, I need to land an entry level position with an accounting firm that I feel will allow me to grow and succeed. I also need to put in the time to learn as much as I can about the profession. Finally, I need to allocate a substantial amount of time to studying and passing the certified public accountant exam. This is my
The reason I decided to pursue a career in accounting is because I have always been interested in the business world and accounting is considered a basic tool of business. I have worked for small and large business firms; also in private and public sectors which helped me develop a strong linking with the industry as a whole and solidified my interest in accounting.
My interest in Accounting and Finance stems from wanting to understand how governments and businesses make their vital decisions to be profitable. Studying this degree, will allow me to gain an understanding of financial accounting, management accounting and taxation providing me with skills to analyse data and develop my decision making. Additionally being able to incorporate different aspects of business alongside the core modules; will give me more knowledge of the world of accounting and finance.
