Many of my friends pick their careers based on money and trade skills that they have. I am proficient in art and design, but didn’t feel like that was what I wanted to do for my career. Your career shapes a huge portion of your life. It is what you do every day, for a large portion of your life. It is what I have prepared for the past 12 or so years of my life. It is way more than just money or a skill. I wanted to do something unique, something interesting, something that would inspire me to be a better human, something that would make me feel, something that is challenging, something that helped others, and above all, something that was rewarding and made me feel fulfilled.
There are very few things in life that are definitive, but I considered a legal profession to be ideal for me. Unfortunately, I had to restructure my objective and locate an occupation that would be gratifying to me for the next 40 years. After pondering, I determined that my strengths were the following: using statistics to assist growth, working efficiently to meet deadlines/goals, solving issues based on logic, maintaining a strong organizational trait to uphold standards, participating in team assignments, and conquering challenging tasks. Although none of my strengths were surprising, I discovered that I underestimated the importance of being in a position that would be challenging, yet, allow me to be innovative while retaining a role that would be vital to a company. After years of contemplating, I chose to seek a master degree in business administration. Initially, I planned to attend Bethel University, and then continue at Union University, but my plans were disrupted due to an unexpected personal matter. Consequently, I couldn’t start at Union, but I did complete 2 courses at Bethel. Once I was able to continue, Union’s schedule conflicted with mine, so, naturally, I decided to complete my degree at Bethel because I was familiar with the school’s credentials and enjoyed the flexibility of the program. Although I earned an “A” in Managerial Accounting and Economics at Bethel University, there are other reasons that qualify me as a great candidate for the MBA program.
Although each of these occupations require massive amounts of schooling and preparation, to me they are positive opportunities to learn and grow. My parents didn’t go to college because they believe students go just for their degree, not for actual education. Even if that is true for most individuals, I
...y you have enthusiasm for and do well in,” is advice often given by employers. Lynn Cheney, former Chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities, agrees: “Students who follow their hearts in choosing majors will most likely end up laboring at what they love. They’re the ones who will put in the long hours and intense effort that achievement requires. And they’re the ones who will find the sense of purpose that underlies most human happiness.”
A college education can broaden one’s career horizons and help them achieve stable employment. Through education one can expand their intellectual capacity along with financial scope. “ The median person with a bachelor 's degree earns about $48,000 per year, compared with $27,000 for a high school graduate, according to the U.S. Census Bureau” (Haltom 14). A college education should allow one to thrive both internally and externally, whilst progressing society along with them into the ever-changing world. These statistics represent the aspired
I am interested in pursuing an MBA at this point in my career to better prepare myself as I transition out of the military in the near future. A MBA from GWU will further define the leadership and managerial skills I have already learned inside the United States Air Force. In addition to an MBA, my past experience with managing people inside very harsh climates and physically and mentally challenging scenarios will set me apart from others in the career path I choose. Earning an MBA has always been a dream of mine, but one I never thought would be attainable because of the constant deployments and the financial requirements it takes to obtain an MBA. Fortunately, right now in my life I’m in a position where these conditions do not exist because

My first goal is to continue my education by earning a Master’s degree in Accounting right after completing my bachelor’s degree. The MSU’s Accounting program attracts me for both its reputation and its career opportunities available for international students. It is my responsibility as a future accountant to be really familiar and proficient at the tools accountants use regularly. Achieving my master’s degree will also help me achieving my second goal of becoming a CPA by meeting the requirement of curriculum. Thus, I am professionally and academically motivated to earn a Master’s degree of Accounting at the Broad Business College.
I am excited to enter the dynamic world of business as it is my desire to succeed in a diverse, innovative and challenging environment. I am eager to learn about financial and strategic management along with social and ethical behaviours within the field. My work history and A Level studies have led me to choose a pathway in business as I already have an insight into to how an organisation operates and I want to expand this knowledge and apply it in my future career choices. My current A Level studies have been beneficial in developing vital knowledge and skills.
Usually, it is not common for people to just build up their degree in Business Education but they get their degree in Business and also in Primary Education which would be used for middle school or Secondary Education which is the last four years of high school.
