Personality types are a crucial part of any business and management organizations, it is important for individuals to identify weakness and strengths about their own personality types, learn how to apply those, and influence or connect with their peers to improve the organization they are a part of. MBTI Personality Type My personality type is “The Architect”, and my letters are INTJ-T. The acronym means I am fifty-seven percent introverted, fifty-two percent Intuitive, sixty-four percent thinking, sixty-nine percent judging, and seventy-five percent turbulent. Being an “Architect” means that my role is to be an analyst and my strategy is constant improvement. Our strengths include having a quick, but imaginative strategic mind in which we take pride in. (16Personalities) We normally are not only hardworking and determined but also independent and decisive which all attributes to our high self-confidence in ourselves and our capabilities of completing any task at hand. For this project; I will be discussing the findings of my personality type. According to “Jung’s Personality Test”, I am an ENTJ. Various sources point to this type as;” The Executive.” The research I have done has brought tremendous insight into; who I am as a person, the functions of my thinking process and how to utilize my strengths to be more of an efficient/successful person. I also learned about the various careers the best suit my personality type which; helps me when It comes to job seeking after graduation. The bases of this paper will be based on the results that I had obtained when I took the Myers-Briggs personality test. The results that I had obtained was that I was determined to be an ENFJ. I will go into depth about letter and how each represents that a specific aspect of my personality. The results that I had received were not what I had expected, but the more I read about the trait the more I realized how it suited me. I will also talk about the information that I had found useful from the book, Type Talk at Work: How the 16 Personalities Types Determine Your Success on the Job by Otto Kroeger, which gave me insight on how to interact with other personality types especially in the work environment. The information that I absorbed from the personality test and from the book will go into use in my personal and work life so that both environments will be cohesive and peaceful.

Upon taking the Myers Briggs personality test on the human metrics website I was not surprised that I received the conclusion of an ENTJ or “the natural born leader”. The role of an ENTJ is that you conduct yourself in a manner that is very logical and rational (“Personality”). My personality was ISFJ which stands for Introversion, Sensing, Feeling, and Judging. I plan to discuss all four characteristics in this paper. The theories I plan to talk about in my paper are Psychodynamic, Social Cognitive, and Trait.

In my case, ESTJs tend to have an orientation for business and make good administrators. This personality type has a knack for leadership and organization. These people are realistic, who can make practical decisions quickly. Based on their personality, ESTJ types do best with careers such as public relations, sales, and management. Having a “model citizen” persona, ESTJs make every effort to uphold values such as justice and a drive for wanting to help others out. When researching this type, rigidness, organization, and having an overbearing presence are traits that constantly are mentioned. I find that, though I can relate to some of these traits, these do not seem to match up with my personality entirely. I find that rigidness and inflexibility should not be implemented at all times, as ESTJs tend to do. I believe that it is fine to be relaxed and take a break once in a while, as working oneself too hard can cause more damage than good. To be flexible, but firm is what makes up a good leader. Rather than reacting with feelings and passion, responding with wisdom could achieve a lot more from others, and ultimately allow me to achieve my goals. I did not rank happiness any higher because although I believe it to be of vital importance to our lives, I believe that if you do not strive for other key values, then striving for happiness has the potential to become a selfish or destructive act.
