Hello Class,
It is vital when looking for a new job or career that you know what skills and qualities you have. Knowing what you can or cannot do will alter what employers and positions there are for you. Throughout my higher education at Full Sail University, I have been able to overcome weaknesses that I have and raised other strengths beyond what I thought I could. Matching what you are good at and not so good at can help shape what your life path will be. Looking deeper into my personal capabilities, I have discovered three strengths and three weaknesses that I have and I’m working on eliminating or improving. If you are not good at something, improving even slightly can have a nice positive impact on your overall quality of life at work and at home.
I have several attributes that I can bring to an employers table. Among the several strengths, three skills in particular stand out when working with a team and they include: Empathetic, Analytical and Visionary. I have a great ability to understand and share the feelings of another, which is an excellent skill to have when working in a group setting. Knowing what other group members are feeling can help the team work together better and have less problems overall. When working on a group project I take a very logical course of thinking. Being analytical with my thoughts helps keep the reasoning and logic of what the project is trying to accomplish into a real possibility. My thought process is very grounded and I try to utilize all of the available knowledge available to form the foundation of all group projects.
While I use logic and knowledge to form all thoughts, I have a great visionary mind that is always thinking about or planning for the future. A gre...

What makes a company great? This is one of those pithy questions--like "What is great art?" or "What is great leadership?" that defy a simple response. Are companies deemed great because they have made buckets of money, or because they have made their employees happy? Are companies great when they make an impact on Wall Street or when they make an impact on the world? As a general rule all-visionary companies jealously preserve strong, and sometimes fanatical, corporate cultures even as companies adapt to rapidly changing times. Visionary companies heavily promote executives from within, constantly set lofty goals, and surprisingly, CEO’s are rarely charismatic. Moreover, visionary companies drive to make an impact on society, not just to make profits. This research project will serve two objectives: first to define what constitutes a visionary company, and then to show a comparison between a visionary company and a non-visionary company.
I believe that everyone has their own strength and weaknesses, but not everyone is able to figure out their strengths and weaknesses correctly. Knowing our own strengths and weaknesses is essential because it can help to achieve success in anything we choose to do. For me, my weakness is the time management, communication skills and weak in preparing effective Curriculum Vitae (CV) Below will be further explaining all my personal weaknesses and the ways to overcome it.
...vely, Teamwork, Self-Directed Learning. I always have the curiosity feeling for knowing and learning new things, Moreover I am open to new ideas, I believe ideas from all of the grope members. Second is conscientiousness I like keep everything under control and organized, systematic, and punctual. Third Self-efficacy that I belief that I can perform a specific task successfully for example an individual project. There are many reasons can make the hiring manager interested in me, as I mentioned above I have many strengths Knowledge-Based Skills, Transferable Skills, and Personal Traits Skills, my achievements through my studies and my aims and challenges that am willing to accept, most importantly that am not intending to apply for a job just because it is available I would apply for jobs that am 100 percent sure that I love and I will be creative working in it.
I would like to believe that I am a little bit ahead of the curve on this topic because I am always trying to figure out what my strengths and weaknesses are. I do this so I can hopefully realize what I am really good at and enjoy doing so I can make a career out of it. My dad always taught me to first, figure out what I love doing and second, figure out a way to get paid doing it. It’s definitely easier said than done, but I can look at his example of how stressful he was at work when I was growing up and see why he believes that finding something you enjoy doing everyday is important.
For personal and professional growth, given my personality traits, I need to embrace my strengths and weaknesses. I must use my strengths to my advantage, to be more effective academically and in the workplace, but I also need to identify and try to overcome my weaknesses, especially professionally.
Another strength that I have is being an active listener. I listened to my clients and utilized a lot of micro skills. Insuring confidentiality was also a strength that I developed closer to the end of field placement. Conducting assessments and making sure I tracked and exhausted the topics was also a strength that I identified throughout field. Practicing from a strengths perspective was also another area I excelled at when working with my clients. A skill that I could work on is being more conscious of self in terms of body language during interviews, because at times I find myself with my arms cross which may give an indication that I’m closed off or
While working or while looking for work there are certain skills sets that are universally important. No matter what job or career path you have chosen these skills make it easier to obtain your goals, whatever they may be.
Through the self-assessment instruments utilized in this program, I have gained wealth of knowledge about my strengths, and weaknesses and how they affect my personal and professional life. By using different exercises, I recognized new strengths and weaknesses. At the same time, I identified ways to develop my strengths and overcome my weaknesses. The Kolb Learning Style Inventory (LSI) identified some of my strengths as the ability to get things done, initiating, and taking risks (Kolb, 2007). In the Strongest Self Feedback Exercise, some of the feedback listed my strengths as having excellent interpersonal and communication skills, being self-confident, a fast learner, determined, hardworking, and an awesome listener (Drucker, 2005).
Clifton and Nelson (1992) suggested if society focused primarily on each person’s strengths and employed them in a job that capitalizes on their strengths more people, and businesses would be successful and efficient. If a company is to ascribe to this model, they must hire the right people; individuals with strengths that match the job for which they are hired. Clifton & Nelson (1992) agreed that our unique talents are significant to success. Each person brings unique talents and skills such as creativity, organization, or networking. Since so many jobs now require a combination of human resource skills, work experience, and technical competence, employees should be matched with jobs where the strengths can shine and be reinforced (Sullivan, 2012). Nonetheless, success in hiring a qualified applicant is irrelevant, if there is an absence of a qualified manager or leader who understands the importance of capitalizing on strengths.
Compared to my competitors, my strengths are my languages, technology skills, education, work ethic and the ability to follow directions. The first strength that I am aware of is I speak three different languages. Also, I have decent technology skills. I have a great educational background from KU. Work ethic is another one of my personal strengt...

I’ve always wondered how people see themselves when it comes to what they are and what they aren’t good at. Most, I’ve deduced, feel that when they have a certain weakness, they find it hard to overcome it. However, one can rise above one’s weakness if one believes in oneself enough. Anuj Somany states: “One who sees the weakness of his strength can also leverage the strength of his weakness, readily, to his advantage.” This is a valuable saying because it imparts great wisdom and truth. I have found that many of my strengths come from my weaknesses. My hard work and dogged persistence brought me to a stage in life where I believe in my abilities. One person could sit and sulk about their dilemmas while another could get up and continue on till he/she finds his/her inner strength.
In conclusion it is very important to develop all the weaknesses I have in my professional career. I must continue to plan and evolve to hopefully become successful in my future career whatever that may be.
For as long as I can remember, I have always enjoyed sharing stories with others. As a child, I would tell stories in any way I could. I would draw pictures, write short stories, and tell stories to anyone who would be willing to listen.
In my Learning team, my personal strength is having good people skills. I meet and get involved with new people everyday whether it be work or school related. I enjoy speaking, listening and giving input to my team members so that they are aware that they can count on me to participate as a team player in our Learning Team. Good people skills are very important in a group setting because of all the di...
