One occupation that could fit me is a librarian. One reason I find this to be a possible fit is that for my multiple intelligence quizzes I scored very high on the verbal/ linguistic intelligence. After reading the description and how to improve my score, I found that many parts of it do apply to me. Within job skills I found that I am able to speak a foreign language, research, listen, proofread, edit, filing, and reporting. Also, within the improving my verbal intelligence question I found that I love to read and try to finish multiple books a week when possible, I enjoy word games and am currently playing one with my friend, and I sometimes read with a dictionary to learn new words. Within my personality, I am conventional which means I like things to be structured and follow a system, much like a library. In the past years, I have volunteered at my school’s library every single lunch in eighth grade where I would shelf, stamp, barcode, and check out books. Although I enjoyed volunteering during my lunches at my library, I have never considered it as a future profession for me. …show more content…
Another possible occupation could be a math teacher or a math tutor.
Within my intelligence, I have a mathematical/ logical intelligence which would be good for a job related to math. Also, I enjoy working with children and I already help my siblings with their math homework after school on a weekly basis, so I find that a math teacher or tutor would fit me. Also, family is one of my main values and as a teacher, I would get summers off as well finish work at a more reasonable time. There is also security in being a teacher as teachers will always be needed. Also, being able to speak a foreign language is a useful skill if I plan on becoming a
teacher. Another job that applies to me is an actuary. They estimate risks and costs for insurance companies. This would suit me because of my mathematical intelligence and my financial values. Throughout the inventories, an interest in wealth and finance was a recurring answer. So working such an area would correspond with my values as well as help me understand how to manage money. Understanding money could aid me in keeping myself in a comfortable financial situation. This job would also fit the fact that my personality is investigative and allow me to figure out what would be the best cost. As an actuary, I would be able to largely work on my own except when talking with my clients which fits my need for privacy and that I prefer to research or calculate when I am on my own. Lastly, I think that a web developer would be a fitting occupation for me. One reason is that my higher multiple intelligences were verbal and logical which are needed for this job. The logic would help me when going about programming and the verbal intelligence would help me to communicate my ideas. Also, as a web developer, I can work independently for most of the process which fits my personality and is something that I find valuable in a workplace. My other values include family and security. I find that learning to program would make me more adaptable and I would be able to continuously adapt to the changing technology. In addition to that, technology is a large part of everyone’s future so people who work with technology would be able to find an abundance of jobs. In terms of family, both of my parents and my uncle are all in programming and have different jobs in the field. On top of being a good fit for me, I have already learned HTML and a few of the basics of other types of programming. I’m also taking computer studies this semester and plan on following this path as it interests me.

As I was preparing to leave high school and look for a career, I had to make an immense decision. I had to decide what field I wanted to pursue, and how to go about it. I knew I wanted to teach because it offered everything I wanted in a profession including, good benefits, decent pay, the chance to work with children, and the chance to eventually coach High School Football. No other career I found can offer all of these advantages.
My characteristics are humanitarian, giving nature, selflessness, obligations, and creative expression. I work well with people, and have potential to inspire. This suggests that I could successfully teach or counsel. This is pretty crazy because that is exactly what I was wanting to do, but I was not completely sure about it. My home and family are likely to be a strongest focus of my life.
As my junior year comes to an end, the time for looking into my future begins. The process for a high school student trying to figure out where they want to go to college and what choices they have for careers and their future can be made much easier by simply doing extensive research. I have looked into multiple colleges and a couple careers I believe I would excel in and enjoy to make sure I am making the right decisions about my future. I have done extensive research on the colleges I am considering, including Kaplan University, The Art Institutes and Sinclair Community College. I have also done extensive research on being a photographer and on being a social worker so that I could consider these occupations for my future career.
Transitioning from high school to college as an engineering major may gave given you the hope of not having to endure yearly written language arts classes. The truth is, however, as an engineer and as an engineering student towards your upperclassman projects, you will be tasked with writing proposals, technical reports, preliminary and critical design reports, status reports, manuals, marketing material, justifications and specifications, and this is only a summarized list. Moreover, depending on the negative impact your product could have if something were to go wrong, your reports, manuals, and instructions should be clear, and not open to ambiguity, in order to prevent misuse.
Through my own experiences, and as enforced by others' opinions in the profession, I have found that teaching is one of the most rewarding careers. Not only are you placed in the position of instructing and guiding children and young adults through the life long learning process, but you are able to give back to the schools and communities which have supported your early education and experiences that opened you up to a bright future. In becoming an educator, I hope to someday share the knowledge and lend the helping, supportive hand that I was once given, allowing students to formulate their own perspectives of the multicultural society and world around them. Teaching is a career I have been interested in pursuing throughout high school, and as my experiences and study in the field expands, I feel that my desire to teach will grow stronger and develop more soundly.
All college students should partake in career exploration project because it gives structure and direction. The result from an assessment identifies and prioritizes which careers will best suit an individual person or student. It does not necessarily mean they have to pick that particular job or career; it gives them more chooses to choose from. Career exploration is a life long journey that is emotionally, physically and mentally stress full. I say lifelong because as time goes on so does an individual’s views, abilities and skills. Career exploration is very helpful to a career, because it improves a person's ability to become informed of their interests, skills, values, abilities, aptitudes, weaknesses and strengths It helps in the guidance of career matters across the nation, job influence, growth, work hours opportunities to name a few. An individual needs to remember that when doing this career exploration project to keep in mind that money is only a temporary fix. In the beginning it may bring you joy and happiness but as time goes on it will not keep up personal enjoyment i...
There are actually five careers that I am interested in. One of them is a writer, a baker, maybe a general manager, another option is a psychiatrist, and the last one a social worker. A writer because I love to write, even though I’m not good at it, it doesn’t stop me. A baker because I like baking, mainly baking cakes is what I’m good at. A general manager because I’m somewhat an organized person and I like to make sure that things are done accordingly. A psychologist because I think that I can relate to people who have problems that others might not seem to understand. And last a social worker because apparently some test that I took said that I would be good at it.
I can know more about human functioning in anatomy lessons. Living creatures especially human are very miraculous and mystical. Second, I can use theories in psychology lessons to explain daily phenomenon. After knowing people’s mood and thoughts, I can make a better response. Moreover, I am creative and like doing arts.

The first main reason that I have chosen teaching as a profession is because I believe that it’s continuous rewards will help me to lead a happy and fulfilled life. For example, teaching young children is one of the few jobs in which you can give and receive hugs on a daily basis. Children have an innocence and a passion for knowledge that I find amazing and I do not feel complete unless I am around them. Teaching will help provide this fulfillment for me every day. Also, teaching is a job in which it is ok, and even encouraged, to laugh each and every day. I feel that this is important for a person’s well-being and I think that it helps to keep people young and alive. I feel that in many other professions the day-to-day routine would become monotonous and boring, and I do not think that I would live a truly happy and fulfilled life unless I could be around children. I feel that a classroom provides many unique and dynamic opportunities every single day and I find that very appealing. Also, I am a very relationship-oriented person and I feel that I will enjoy building unique relationships with each child. I plan on knowing every child as thoroughly as possible because I feel that this will help me to be better at my job.
Finding a career that is right for a person can be tedious, but by using the Career Explorer program, it helped me find some careers that may suit me. By asking me various questions about interests and what I am good at doing, I was able to generate a couple of results. Three stood out to me and they were a chartered accountant, environmental specialist, and secondary teacher. Then I also choose to research my dream career, which is the job of a dentist. The other results revolved around the subject of math and I think this is due to the fact that I do enjoy math, but I do not enjoy it enough to get a career that revolves around it.
