My Autobiography.
I’m an only child raised by my mother while growing up because my father was not in the picture. My mother finished high school but never went to college. But she persuaded me to get a college career in spite of the lack of funds. She always helped with my assignments and motivated me to do better. My mom is very proud of my accomplishments from pursuing a college degree. My mom later on went to college and earned a nursing degree. We came from a poor family and very seldom college graduates. Despite our financial struggles she always gave me love and support and we were happy with what very few we had. My mother was disciplined parent. I would get punished for wrong doings. On the other hand she was nurturing and easy to relate with. She taught me how to ride a bicycle to driving a car; she believed in me and always blessed me with her words of wisdom.
Values and morals play a major role in my life. I believe that everything has to be in order and the appropriate behavior gets you further in life. Religion is an important aspect in my life but I lack on attending church. I used to go to Sunday school when I was little. I can see why they say music imitates life and life imitates music. I love to mess around with my cousin’s guitar and make up funny lyrics about the past and present moments. I learned how to play it a few months ago and I fell in love ever since. It’s my personal nicotine, I feel at ease with it. Music has affected my life in numerous ways. It is more than just random sound you hear, it is something you feel. In the words of Bob Marley “when music hits, you feel no pain.” It brings me closer to the people who are important in my life.
