you feel the same. Hip Hop is up tight and angry, Blues is anxious feeling, Holiday makes you excited about the holidays, Rock and Roll is very energetic feeling, Country is very slow and can be depressing, Gospel makes you worship and love Jesus, and R&B can make you feel loved or sad. Everyone does not like the same types of music. It just depends on the person’s preference. One person may like love music, when another person may like party music. For each situation that may come up in a person’s life, there is a type of music for them to listen to. Today, music is used and made in so many different ways. Before there was technology, music was made by instruments and using parts of your body. In order to create a sound of music you had to use your mouth, hands, and feet. There were no computers to make the beats and to combine all the unique sounds together. In the old days they made things to beat on in order to make music. In different countries they used music and instruments to alert people when something is about to happen. We still use instruments to make music, but we now have technology to make more unique sounds. We use and listen to music all the time and do not realize it. Music is everywhere! Without it, some people would be lost and would not know what to do. People use music to help them get through things in life. Teenagers today would be lost without music. Every day you will see teens wearing headphones because many of us do not like when it is quiet. The world would be a very quiet place without music. If you really pay attention, people put music in almost everything to fill up the gaps and to make it better. Teens listen to it to help them through situations, and it has saved a lot of teenagers’ lives. If you really listen to the words of a song and not just the beat, some songs will inspire you and others will tell you a story of what has happened in an artist’s life. However, there are times when parents need to manage what their children listen to because all music is not good. Each song has a meaning, a story, and a memory behind it. Teens do not just listen to music anymore, it has become a part of who they are. The type of music a person listens to can be a way to represent and express them.
If you ever want to learn about a person, you can just ask them what type of music they like, and that can tell you a lot about that person. Songs like “The National Anthem” tell a story about our country, but it is often taken for granted and not given the respect it deserves. It is not the individual’s fault if they do not know the meaning. That is when research comes to. There is so much music in the world that has great meaning and history behind it that we can learn from.
Having music in your life is very important. Music is one of the most powerful things in the world today. Many people make a lot of money making music because of its popularity. It may not be the same genre of music, but everybody likes it. Personally music helps me from day to day. When I am stressed I listen to it to calm me down. When I am sad I listen to it to make me happy. When my spirit is down I listen to gospel to bring it back up. Without music I do not know what I would do. I believe that there is music for every person and problem they may have. It helps me, and I know it will help

As I reflect on the music I listen to I came to the conclusion that I gravitate towards songs that depict the emotions we feel through lyrics while being able to relate it to my own personal experiences.
