The Museum of Modern Art of Bogota (Museo de Arte Moderno de Bogotá, MAMBO) is a private nonprofit organization that looks to promote, disseminate, educate and conserve national and international modern and contemporary art. The Museum has a long time relation with colombian renowned artists and international artist. Through these, the Museum has curated many exhibitions and is positioned as one of the must go cultural institutions in Bogotá, Colombia and Latin America. Through its education department the institution assists in the education of art and its history both in private and public schools around the country, affecting thousands of children and adults. Its recently inaugurated membership department is a pioneer in this field throughout the country. With this program, MAMBO does not only look to encourage individuals to support the Museum, but also be an active member and promoter of the organization. The Museum is the only modern and contemporary institution in the city that has a strong educational purpose and international vision. Philanthropist, must understand that the Museum is part of the city and a key element when it comes to disseminating Colombia´s image around the world. However, without the assistance of the private sector, it is little to no possible for the Museum to survive. Many artists, architects, creatives and leaders have coursed through the walls of the institution.
