A moment when I achieved a major goal was the day I received my associate degree. Yet, it was not an easy goal to reach. I was being placed on academic probation at the end of my third semester at Montgomery college and had lost hope of graduating the following semester. It was not until that I decided to get help, work harder and be dedicated to my studies that I overcame this difficult situation. I had told myself that it was not the end of the world, and that I could still get back on track in time to make it to graduation. It worked for me, and it could for all Montgomery students on academic probation too, if they take my case as an example.

I have selected a Juvenile Detention Worker. I chose this job type because I like working with the youth. There are so many children that are in need of attention. I believe this is why some of them act out due to the need of attention. There are many reasons as to why a child acts out. A juvenile detention worker may also save a child from the prison system. The type of task a person that holds this position will mainly be doing is working with children and adolescents. However, other tasks that go along with this position is supervising juveniles that have been placed in detention by the court system. A juvenile detention worker must ensure the safety and welfare of the children and adolescents along with transporting them to various locations.
