I am writing to ask you to consider me for the Digital Collections & Metadata Assistant position this summer. It is a combination of many things that i’m interested in-- libraries, spreadsheets, and technology-- and for that reason know I would be very well suited to the position.
At the moment, I have probably ten or so spreadsheets active for my own personal life that keep track of everything from finances to college credits, so I am familiar with Excel and pride myself on being organized. I am also very comfortable with Photoshop. I’ve used it for several years to make graphics and edit the photos that I take. As a computer science major, I also have experience programming in Java. This is probably not the kind of programming used for this job, but the concepts are commutable and I am a fast learner.

Last summer, I worked at a car dealership in my hometown as a cashier and receptionist. I was responsible for processing large payments, handling both the physical paperwork and the digital orders in our dealer management software. On the reverse side, I worked at Five Guys in a very team-oriented environment. Everyone had their own part to play, but our successes were ultimately a result of how well we worked as a team. This job also taught me how to juggle multiple responsibilities, as we were frequently understaffed and had to jump between positions.
I hope you will consider me for the summer position as a Digital Collections & Metadata Assistant. My background in relevant software and various working environments makes me well prepared for this job, and I anticipate many on the job learning opportunities. I’m available at 774-289-4684 at your convenience, and I look forward to speaking with you about this
I used to work at my local McDonalds for three years during high school. At first, I thought I was there just to make an extra quick buck to fund my weekend adventures, but later would turn into a key cog at the store as the crew trainer and starting to be prepped for a managerial spot. It was exciting, learning how to place orders for the store, make the work schedule and cycle counts among other things. Soon however, I started to realize how replaceable my coworkers a...
Working this job for nearly two years, it made me significantly more responsible and taught me many things about being patient. Having to deal with many different things at once, I learned how to balance things and take duties one step at a time and not get overwhelmed. This job was like taking a two year class on how to be responsible and be patient when difficulties are stacking up against you.
This past year I was hired to work at the veterinarian clinic in Bullard. Within one month I got to help de-claw a cat and watch many surgeries. I learned how to medicate animals without getting bit, give hydrotherapy, and many other things. My title was kennel attendant and I still tried to help and learn up front, in surgery, when I finished the kennel. I always watched for depressed animals especially the ones that went though surgery, because sometimes with out the tender care they needed they would not eat and lose weight.

The job description for a Program Specialist 2 position perfectly matches my qualifications, and I am very interested in the opportunity.
“Why do you want to volunteer at the Daly City Public Library?” asked the authoritative figure sitting in front of me, earnestly awaiting for my answer. Because I had calculated the answer to this question for days before my interview, my response came out naturally and went something along the lines of:

I have recently discovered that Deloitte is intending to hire a new Consulting Manager and I wish to express my interest in this position. I have been a dedicated employee of Deloitte in the tax unit for the past twelve years and I have acquired skills and knowledge in line with company ethics as Tax Manager. This has made me a well-rounded, mature practitioner, and has enhanced my ability to identify and execute business opportunities.
My first job was working at the Carmike Cinemas at the Summit. My main duty, among others at the theater, was working the concession stands. It was an entertaining job. It took me awhile to learn the ropes, but once I did, it was smooth sailing. There were several times the concessionaires stands were run by only one person. While it is fun working in a concession stand, I couldn’t forget about my responsibilities. A rush of thousands of people is a daunting task, but it will go smoothly if my station is primed. The keys to a smooth operation are organization, attentiveness, preparation, and (as my manager put it) sell, sell, sell.
My favorite part of the job was creating a long lasting relationship with customers. It is rewarding to know that our customers trust us, and as a result, they remained loyal to our company. Sometimes, I’ll have customers who would visit my office just to say “Hi” to the team because they valued our
