Subject: Online Nursing Classes
This memorandum will discuss online nursing classes, and both the negative and positive aspects of them.

Today in the world, many nursing schools offer an online option. Some schools offer programs that are completely online, while others offer partial online with some traditional aspects. There are many reasons for this, starting with a shortage of teachers to keep up with the demand of the number of students. Another reason is that these schools can gain students from areas that are more rural and lack access to nursing programs. There are many things that should be considered when making this decision. The first thing is to ensure is that the school is accredited. Next, the student must consider if an online program is the right fit for them. The following are some pros and cons of online nursing classes to help prospective students make an informed decision.

Positive aspects of online nursing classes
• Flexibility
Online programs allow students to do school work whenever they are available and from anywhere in the world. This makes things very convenient for people to also have time for their families, jobs, or other responsibilities.

• Cost
Some online programs are more inexpensive than attending a traditional program at a university or a community college. Some programs allow the student to purchase study modules and then test for credit after studying on their own by going to a testing center to complete a required test.

• Study time
Some programs allow students to study at their own pace rather than following a strict due date driven design.

It is easy to let work, family, and other obligations take up all the students time and neglect their course work.

• Amount of work involved
Many online courses require about double the work. This is because these programs require much more written papers due in shorter time frames.

• Time alone
Online classes require that the student have time alone to concentration and study free from distractions. This is difficult for many students because of family, work, and other obligations.

Although online nursing programs may be a perfect fit for many students, they are not a good fit for everyone. Students should do a lot of research and self reflection before making this important decision. Another important thing to do when making this decision is to have a serious conversation with one’s family to ensure that they are supportive of their education and are willing to work with them and pitch in when needed. No matter if a student decides on an online program or a traditional one, they should fully commit and success will
