Americans And Community Service Americans should have to do one year of mandatory community/volunteer service. Community service and volunteer service would both be beneficial so if all legal citizens did a year worth of service then we would see a boost in a lot of the major and minor pieces,parts,and core functions of america like schools and the educational system could be boosted by volunteer teachers so they wouldn't have to pay schools as much so then the government benefits from community and volunteer service too.This is because community service is important to America,it's beneficial to you and your actual community or neighborhood, and it helps you in high school,college,and even jail. Start off by asking yourself how important community service is not just for you, or your city, but the whole United States! You may think ¨oh it's just community service no big deal just me doing this wouldn't make a difference¨ but it's a bigger deal than you think when community service is planting the trees that give you oxygen, feeding,sheltering, and clothing the homeless that litter the streets, even going as far as building houses...for free!!!!! Well to even get into some colleges they make it MANDATORY to have at least 10 hours of community/service hours to even be qualified for the application progress. Then, even while in college, through the tight schedule between classes and athletics, volunteer/community hours can make your transcript and your job application better.
