Is life flower or thorn?
People have defined the life as their own perception. Some people think that life is like a flower and but few people compare with a thorn. Either it is flower or thorn depends on what we feel about our life. The famous writer Jhamak Kumari Ghimire who has born with cerebral palsy believes that life is a flower. She can’t talk, can’t walk and she is disable physically but writes with the help of her foot. She has defined her life with flower even she encountered with many thorns on her way. We can’t even imagine how tough the life she had spent in her early age. She couldn’t talk since her birth so she was considered that she shouldn’t need to go to school to learn something. Her heart broke down several times while her siblings were sending to the school and she had been captivated in the home because of her disability. No one thought about what was in her mind, what she wanted to do? What was her willingness to do? Her family was busy for working in order to survive their family, and taking care her rest of the siblings. But as far she remembered, she was never considered in their mind how to teach her and give her knowledge as other general people. At that time, she broke frequently and found herself only the burden to the earth. But her courage and willingness kept her moving and her parent realized the hidden knowledge with her one da. When people receive education, they will also be receiving the real life techniques like the ways how to communicate, and how to tackle with the possible problem in life. In school, we have our teachers teaching us all the textbook stuffs along with teaching us to be actively participating in extracurricular activities. The extracurricular activities such as participating in speech, debate, sports, and other school programs will activate the communication skills inside the children. Innocence is something always expected to be lost sooner or later in life, an inevitable event that comes of growing up and realizing the world for what it truly is. Alice Walker’s “The Flowers” portrays an event in which a ten year old girl’s loss of innocence after unveiling a relatively shocking towards the end of the story. Set in post-Civil War America, the literary piece holds very particular fragments of imagery and symbolism that describe the ultimate maturing of Myop, the young female protagonist of the story. In “The Flowers” by Alice Walker, the literary elements of imagery, symbolism, and setting “The Flowers” help to set up a reasonably surprising unveiling of the gruesome ending, as well as to convey the theme of how innocence disappears as a result of facing the harsh reality of this world.

The focus on the little mermaid is appropriate. Just as Edna makes the two girls into the tragic figure of the little mermaid by blaming their father for leaving/not leaving them, Edna continually makes her children into either the tragic figures or the villain by blaming them for her shattered dreams. In actuality, she is the pathetic tragic figure, unable to see how her children have helped her financially. She takes her disappointments and failed dreams and puts them onto the girls, as though it is their fault. Simply due to their existence, Edna often seems annoyed with the existence of her daughters. Kay's realization of this fact so early in life is the most distressing part of her story. Bearing the weight of this burden takes away the possibility of the children having dreams and fantasies of their own. Their awareness of this bitter reality makes it truly amazing that she titles this story Landscape for a Good Woman.
While in school, Mom didn’t have it to easy. Not only did she raise a daughter and take care of a husband, she had to deal with numerous setbacks. These included such things as my father suffering a heart attack and going on to have a triple by-pass, she herself went through an emergency surgery, which sat her a semester behind, and her father also suffered a heart attack. Mom not only dealt with these setbacks but she had the everyday task of things like cooking dinner, cleaning the house and raising a family. I don’t know how she managed it all, but somehow she did.
