It is human nature for everybody to make mistakes. Some mistakes are as little as a typo that can simply be whited out and corrected. Some as big as infidelity in a relationship. Some mistakes are easily forgiven and others not so much. But there is one thing for sure, if mistakes are never made, a person will never know their true purpose in life. Now of course most mistakes you will have to pay for but, every great person has made some sort of mistake to get them where they are now. Every mistake in life is a lesson that contributes to making people successful.
The Pact is about three young men (Sampson Davis, George Jenkins and Rameck Hunt) growing up on the streets of Newark, New Jersey around the 1980’s and follows them up until their college graduation in the early 2000’s. They already had the odds against them because they were young and black and from the inner city. They were also being counted out because they were teenagers. Throughout the book all of them made a lot of stupid mistakes, some of them even life threatening but, had they not made them they wouldn't be the people they are today.
At age 6, George was hanging out with his older brother Garland and some of his friends, walking through the park playing around. His brother was at least 5 years older and and didn’t really want his younger brother hanging with him anyway so he instructed him not to do anything but sit when told to and not to speak at all. Garland and his friends decided to clean up the trashed park. They began to pick up the empty chip bags and soda bottles and things of the like. They then turned the corner to see a knocked over concrete slab. The slab was supposed to be a bench but it was just sitting in the middle of the park. George tryin...

After reading Failure is Not an Option by Nathan Wallace, we ponder whether failure is beneficial or not. However, after reading the passage, we stumble upon a quote where Wallace says “Failure is always an option. Failure can lead to great learning and progress when a specific failure is analyzed through the lens of a growth mindset.”
Mistakes are made by everyone whether it be because of confusion, lack of correct information, or just an accident. Mistakes are what make us human because we can't be perfect
At first glance, a world without any mistakes would be a utopia. However, this couldn’t be farther from the truth. Mistakes are essential to learning and deciphering right from wrong. Even some of the most useful inventions today were created by mistake. Mistakes are a crucial part of the learning process and can help build up character or strength over time. Humans frequently make errors, therefore, mistakes shouldn’t be perceived negatively.
Gridiron gang (2006) directed by Phil Joanou is a film about young delinquents trapped in a juvenile detention center because of the criminal activities they were involved in, in their community. In this film Dwayne Johnson, named Sean Porter is a probation officer that works at the center and develops the young group of felons into a high school football team in a matter of four weeks. His idea of transferring the youth’s aggression and gang mentality into action on the football field is a great example of how coaches can reconstruct the perspective of kids growing up in poverty and redirect their focus to something positive. Porter offering football was an active
Everyone makes mistakes, yet even the smallest of mistakes can change the entire course of history given a time machine and a Tyrannosaurus Rex. At a young age many people make mistakes , some learn from them and some don´t.
A gang is an organized group of criminals who form together for a common goal or identity. Gangs can be formed based upon race, ethnicity, territory, or money making activities, and are generally made up of members varying anywhere between the age of 12 to 24. There are a variety of reasons behind the formation of gangs, whether it be for protection, profit, or because a group of people share a common trait. A gang rivalry is formed when two or more gangs grow to despise each other for their differences. Common divergences include race, gender, religion and social class. S.E. Hinton’s The Outsiders is a novel that deeply examines the aspects of gang life portrayed by the rivalry between two fictional social classes known as the Greasers and the Socials. Throughout the novel, the author emphasizes on the purposelessness of gangs and gang rivalries as well as the negative effects that gang involvement brings upon members of both parties.
Therefore, errors are actually positive by helping us find solutions and advancing to a higher order of knowledge and learning. It is a tool that is subtle to people but without errors, there will be no advancements. "If it is a big enough mistake, we could find ourselves on a new level, stunned, out in the clear, ready to move again"(4).
Failure and success are often seen as dichotomies of one another in the context of business, that is failure is the opposite of success or vice versa. However, in recent history the business landscape particularly that of the rise of entrepreneurs has led the ground work towards embracing failure as an important constituent for future accomplishment. Many of the world’s most successful business man come from a background of both personal and professional failures, such as Steve Jobs and Bill Gates, both of whom dropped out of colleges and have a long list of botched ventures prior to achieving the successful ventures that have established
For example, a guy went to a job interview and he thinks he will do well, but the truth is that the boss did not like the way he was expressing and saying that he know how to do everything. The truth is that at the end, he did not get the job because the boss did not like when he said I have never made a mistake in my life. Once a while, everyone has done something wrong that in the future we will regret.
Mistakes are actions from people that are commonly misjudged. Every day someone can grow and learn from their past mistakes to become a better person. Mistakes should not be judged by past actions. Whether a person went to jail and came out a completely changed person or the mistakes person a made in high school academically wise should not affect the learning he or she receives in college.
Everyone, at some point in their life, has made a mistake. Sometimes we get lucky and only falter a little, making it through the problem relatively intact. Other times, we mess up a lot and have to fix what was damaged over a long period of time. However, the same is true for most, if not all cases—those who make the mistake learn from it. Often times, our failures teach us valuable lessons that we only gained because of the experience we gathered after messing up. I have personally achieved a wealth of knowledge and experience just from all of my own little mishaps, and a few major ones.
“The failure is the mother of success” this Chinese quote said that failure is not the end. Failure is where people learn from their mistake. People cannot be successful all the time. Indeed, there are many people who learned from their failures before being successful. Each failure that people had met is a helpful lesson and valuable experience to help them become a better person.
