Do you have a favorite jelly bean flavor? There are so many different flavors of jelly beans, in fact their are over 100 different flavors of just Jelly Belly jelly beans. Studies show that most kids prefer the red jelly beans. Did you know that manufactures produce more than 16 billion jelly beans just for Easter? Jelly beans are such a popular candy that we celebrate a National Jelly Bean Day on April 22. Also, on October 15, 1999 the world’s largest jar of jelly beans was made, it weighed 6,050 pounds, that's more than the average car. Jelly Belly even donated 288,000 jelly beans in 47 different flavors for the world's first jelly bean stop-motion animation music video "In Your Arms" by Kina Grannis; released November 2011. Early jelly bean years
The first jelly bean was created in the 1800s by an unknown American candy maker. A 1861 advertisement recommended sending jelly beans to soldiers fighting in the Civil War. The eight original flavors or Jelly Belly beans introduced in 1976 were Root Beer, Very Cherry, Cream Soda, Green Apple, Grape, Lemon, Licorice, and Tangerine. Very Cherry was the most popular flavor of Jelly Belly beans for 20 years until 1998, when Buttered Popcorn moved to the top of the charts. But, in 2003 Very Cherry moved back into first by a mere 8 million beans. There were enough Jelly Belly beans consumed last year to circle the earth over 5 times.

... it was first invented in the 17th century, in France to make Jordan Almonds. Today the panning process is done by a machine but, it has remained essentially the same since the last 300 years. The french would start by rocking the almonds in a bowl of sugar and syrup until the almonds were completely coated in a candy shell, basicly what they do to make jelly beans. Today though, large rotating pans do the hard work, while master confectioners apply their true art in adding just the right ingredients to create the perfect, smooth shell for the beans. Somehow the two processes made their way into America.

With his many major accomplishments in helping the American people, and putting them first, really helped in his favor. Reagan has built up the US military to what it is now because he believed that we needed to “restore America's ability to defend itself and fulfill its responsibilities as a trustee of freedom and peace in the world” (Wild Thing, January 21, 2006). President Reagan is man that has a heart and soul with America, and will fight for our freedoms and rights for as long as his lives. In 1994, President Reagan got Alzheimer’s disease, left public life, and died on June 5, 2004 from pneumonia. Reagan is still looked up to and is considered one of the greatest Presidents of all time.

In the year 1871, a man by the name William Russell Frisbie moved to bransford Connecticut where his dad had operated a grist mill. he was hired to be the manager of a branch of the bakery, William soon after bought the bakery and renamed it the Frisbee pie company, this company offered a plethora of different cookies and pies and from this little company you get the Frisbee. There are two stories to the origin of the first Frisbee. The first is that the Pie-Tin School. “The pie-tin people claim Yale students bought Frisbie's pies (undoubtedly a treat in themselves) and tossed the prototype all over Eli's campus. These early throwers would exclaim "Frisbee" to signal the catcher. And well they might, for a tin Frisbee is something else again to catch.”. “The Cookie-Tin School. Now the cookie tin people agree on these details save one: they insist that the true, original prototype was the cookie-tin lid that held in the goodness of Frisbee's sugar cookies.” (history of Frisbee, WFDW).
In 1952 Edward Haas brought his business to America and did extensive research with his products and the way children had grown attached to them. So in 1952 the first fruit flavored Pez was introduced along with the first Pez dispensers with character heads on them. The first flavors of Pez included cherry, lemon, orange and strawberry. These were the flavors that Edward thought the children would like the most. DispensersIn 1947 when the first Pez dispenser was invented it looked like a cigarette lighter and the "characters" that we know Pez by were not introduced until 1952. It is not certain, but some experts think that Mickey Mouse, and several other Disney characters were the first to appear on the top of dispensers.
This rich history all started in between the years of 1867 to 1873. It was introduced by a professor at Kaisei Gakka, a college boarding school. His name was Horace Wilson. Wilson was the one that brought the game to Japan, but there were others that helped him teach the Japanese the ways of the game. Him and another professor named Albert Bates would help teach and train those who were interested in playing
That same year, at the suggestion of two “DeadHeads’ from Portland Maine, Ben and Jerry introduced the first ice cream named for a rock legend, Cherry Garcia. In 1988 they introduced Chunky Monkey at the request of a college student in New Hampshire.
Ronald Reagan was a very popular person before, during, and after his time of presidency. He went from a mere radio announcer, to the head of the United States of America. Ronald had defeated most of the world’s problems with Communism, improved the economy, and handled terrorist threats like a pro. In 1967, three monsters were designed for a commercial for General Foods, later two of them would be adopted for Sesame Street. One was the Grouch who lived in a trash can and the other was everyone’s favorite Cookie Monster. He would gain his persona later in one episode

The hard time was probably one of the biggest factor in forcing Harland Sanders ("The Colonel") to start experimenting with various mix of spices and herbs, trying to get the best formula for his recipe. (If we still remember the Asian Economic Crash 1997-2002, one of the last remaining business that kept going during the recession was the food industry).
The first edible Easter bunnies were made in Germany during the early 1800s. They were made of pastries and sugar. Around the time of the Civil War, Americans began to celebrate Easter in the same way as Europeans, with children building nests for the Easter bunny to fill with eggs. Since that time, Easter has become a major religious celebration in the U.S.
