This experiment is designed to figure out if a heavier Frisbee goes farther or closer than a lighter Frisbee. Frisbee(discs) In the year 1871, a man by the name William Russell Frisbie moved to bransford Connecticut where his dad had operated a grist mill. he was hired to be the manager of a branch of the bakery, William soon after bought the bakery and renamed it the Frisbee pie company, this company offered a plethora of different cookies and pies and from this little company you get the Frisbee. There are two stories to the origin of the first Frisbee. What is the Frisbee used for The Frisbee is used for many things such as the game ultimate, Kan jam, disc golf, etc. What will I use to throw the Frisbee constantly For this experiment i will be using a skeet thrower that i borrowed from my friend from church. I will modify this thrower to fit a Frisbee instead of the skeet that it was designed for. This will ensure that i have a controlled and constant throw every time so that i will not have an inaccurate conclusion. This is important because if you want to have an answer to the question you asked in the beginning of the experiment. Different types of Frisbee There are a variety of different types of Frisbee such as maximum disFance drivers, control drivers, mid range discs, and puts. The maximum distance drivers are called so because of their ability to cut through the air at very high speeds. The control drivers are called that because they have thinner rims and this enables them to fly straighter. The mid range discsFare designed to have the most control and accuracy with every throw. The putters are the slowest disc of them all because they are designed to be the easiest to control but don't go as far as the others. For this experiment i will be using two frisbees, one that is 175 grams and one that is 200 grams. The one that is 175 grams is the same weight of Frisbee that they use in the ultimate Frisbee world championship. The other Frisbee the Heavyweight Frisbee (200g) is heavy enough to withstand strong winds and is ideal for the beach and also great for long distance throw, this is exactly what i want to test, i want to see if it goes farther than the normal weight for the game ultimate Frisbee, i know that this 200 gram Frisbee can fly better in the high winds but i want to know if it goes farther. Aerodynamics of the Frisbee The Frisbee has two principal topics that make distance, speed, glide, and stability. the fastest speed ratings of 13-14 on the innova scale and tend to have thicker rims. Glide is the discs ability to stay airborne. Glide is good for getting a lot of distance. Stability is made of two subcategories, turn and fade. stability itself is the discs ability to remain flying straight and not curve to the left or right. Turn is the discs tendency to curve to the right at the beginning of the discs flight. Fade is the discs tendency to turn to the left at the very end of the discs flight. Plastics used to make Frisbee's There are a few different types of plastics used in the making of Frisbee's. The most common, called "Basic Plastics", are very low grade plastics which have both ups and downs. on the up side, they have a very good grip, but the discs also wear faster than those of higher quality plastics so they get scratches and nicks easier and faster. Middle Grade Plastics are the least used discs because most people choose to go cheap or very expensive. The curveball was invented over 100 years ago by William Arthur Cummings (Fleitz, D). His older brother and teammates called him Candy Cummings (Fleitz, D). Cummings started to develop the curveball in 1861 and 1862 without much progress. After many years Cummings finally invented the curveball in 1867 (Fleitz, D). This invention made him one of the most dominant pitchers of the time. Cummings quit baseball at the age of twenty-eight (Fleitz, D). Other players started to develope their own curveball by the 1874 season (Fleitz, D). Batters started to learn to hit the curveball by the 1877 season (Fleitz, D).
Softball was developed as an indoor game in 1887 by George W.Hancock in Chicago. He used a 17-inch ball with outward turned seams. In the Spring of 1888, Hancock’s game moved outdoors. It was played on a small diamond and called indoor-outdoor. In 1889 Hancock published the first set of rules because of such high popularity in the sport. In 1895 a fire department officer with the name of Lewis Rober decided that he needed an activity to keep the firefighters active during their free time. Rober was unfamiliar with Hancock’s version of the game and in 1895 adapted the game for outdoor play. Rober used a 12-inch ball with a cover like a baseball. In 1900, Rober named the league Kitten League Ball.

I have played softball ever since the tee ball days. It has been a sport that I have grown to love and couldn’t imagine not playing. The way I have grown up playing softball has changed tremendously from the time it was 1st created in 1887 on Thanksgiving Day. The first time this game was even thought of was when a group of excited men threw a boxing glove to another man who swung a broom trying to hit the boxing glove, like a bat hitting a ball. This group of men, who were all apart of the Farragut boat club, decided they would turn this into a game of their own and softball was born. Although the name softball was not finally decided on until 1926. It was first called indoor baseball. Kitten baseball, or pumpkin ball. Softball didn't grow rapidly until 1933 a softball tournament was set up at the world fair. There were 55 teams in the invent and over 350,000 watching. The game of softball went crazy. Not just in the U.S., but all around the world.

From the data table, we found that the more paper clips the faster it will fall taking average 2.10 seconds to reach the ground for the class when the whirligig had 4 paper clips on it. However, when the whirligig had only one paper clips it took an average of 2.4 seconds to fall to the ground for the class. This happened because the more something weighs, the greater relationship it has with gravity. The more weight something has the less air resistance can pull up on it and counter gravity but when less are used less gravity is pulling down on it making it float more. In spite of this, it is clear that most theorists uphold the ethos that play is imperative to a child’s learning and development. I choose this experiment because I am a hunter and having an accurate rifle is a good thing. In hunting the first shot counts. Now here is my data I got from the experiment but first a little history on the guns the .234 is a small hunting rifle use on deer and other small game. The .270 is a med. game rifle for deer and up to small elk. The 30-.06 is a large game rifle for elk and up to moose. My problem is the I wont to find out what is the most accurate rifle is. My hypothesis is if three rifles are tested for accusey then what is the most accurate the .270 is the most accurate rifle because a lot of people think the .270 is the most accurate rifle so I am going to test it. So I some research on my experiment I look to be one of the first one to do this
