On March 5, 2014, I sat down with Teacher one and we discussed what her teacher career has been for over 30 years of teaching. Currently working as a teacher with 3 to 4 year old has given her the experience of dealing with diversity and communicating with the parents. She graduated from Mercyhurst University and has plenty of experience of involving parents within her classroom as a main goal in her classroom.
As we were talking she explained to me her multiple ways of building a relationship with her families include having a classroom news letter, the centers news letter, invitations, greeting, and teacher conferences. Within her classroom news letter she explains to me how she uses it to inform the parents what went on in the past month and will be starting on in the beginning month. She feels this is a good way for the parents to see what their child is learning, plus if there is an upcoming field trip she mentions in the news letter the parents can volunteer to come. Within the centers newsletters she mentions how she normally writes a little paragraph on what the class has just completed or learned. For the invitations to the parents on Friday she sends home a letter to the parent’s upcoming events for the week. She writes in the note inviting the parents to read to the class, and come in a volunteer for field trips that week. She also mentions how she has an open door policy for the parents are allowed to come and watch her class whenever they would like. The mornings and when the students are coming in her classroom is a good time to greet the parents. She says this helps to from a bond with the parents and if they have any concerns they can talk for a bit. In her classroom her students get evaluated three times a yea...

For example, when it was Abraham Lincoln birthday she explained to her students how he was an important person in history and she read to her students a story about Abraham Lincoln. She feels that it is important for her classroom to have diversity.
In Teacher ones classroom she mentions the way she meets with the parents for conferences and open houses is through communication. For the parent conferences it is optional three times a year this is to review the student’s progress within the classroom. She mentions how she sends home a note to the parents and is available when ever is best for the parents. The open house is only for Pre-K counts, but this year it is her goal to have an open house for this class. In the end she feels that she has great communication with her parents about her student’s progress.

These theoretical concepts developed by Dr. Jung are what caused the hypothesis and negativity of my original consideration of him to be replaced by a deep respect and, in fact, an almost gleeful fascination with his work. Jung believed that archetypes existed within the collective unconscious, and suggested that these models are universal, hereditary and innate. Archetypes are unlearned, and serve to organize one's experiences.
There is a monthly open school morning that the PTO has in the auditorium for parents to come by and be informed about what is going on in the school. Various programs and grades offer workshops and meeting. Every Tuesday from 2:40pm- 4pm the school has that time frame allotted for parent engagement. Parents do not have to wait to meet with teacher on the two designated parents teachers conference. Each Tuesday, the parents can come in and meet with any of their child’s teachers without an appointment. The parents can discuss any concerns or issues regarding with their child’s academics or behaviors performance. Also, the school engages parents by using an electronic system called N-grade. N-grade is a parent portal where parents login and look at their child’s assignments. The portal shows their child’s assignment grades, missing assignments and assignments they can make up to earn back their grades.
Effective partnerships between families and school emerge from a mutual trust, respect and understanding of each other’s values and goals. By maintaining such partnerships, we create a healthy environment for children to develop. All families have something unique to offer and educators need to recognize this and make the most of it by incorporating all families into the school community.
Jung’s theories of personality are closely related to the Freudian theories. He divided the human psyche into three categories; the ego, or the conscious mind, the personal unconscious which holds memories and such, and the collective unconscious which is the connection that all humans share. According to Jung, the collective unconscious is made up of archetypes. An archetype is the “unlearned tendency to experience things in a certain way”#. There are an innumerable amount of archetypes, which all organize experiences or materialize thoughts in their own way.
Every teacher has this potential whether they are aware of it or not. I have been a teacher for nine years in early childhood education and within those nine years I have become very aware of how powerful the smallest act of caring can turn a person’s life around or even just make someone’s day a little better. Being a preschool teacher has brought me great pleasure to my life simply brightening a child’s day and knowing that I am making a difference in their life. Through my journey as a teacher I have thought about how I can advance in my career field and still be active with children on a daily basis and continue making a difference in each child’s life as well as their parents. With plenty of thought and research I have come to the conclusion and gained the interest to become a preschool and childcare director.
Jung's analytical psychology can be divided into two parts: theory and practice. The focus of this prose will be on the former, which pertains to the structure of the psyche and the laws of psychic processes and phenomena and includes his theories of archetypes and the unconscious (Jacobi, 1942; Jung, von Franz, 1964). His practice involved the inclusion of his theory in therapy and consisted of four methods: association method, symptom analysis, anamnestic analysis, and analysis of the unconscious (Jacobi, 1942). The goal of all four of these methods was to reveal the patient's unconscious to themselves as well as the therapist. Jung found that one of the easiest and most effective ways of revealing a patient's unconscious was through the actions of archetypes in the patient's dreams (Jacobi, 1942). However, Carl Jung's idea of archetypes was not an entirely original one. Literature suggests Plato’s Forms, Kant’s Categories, Schopenhauer’s Prototypes, as well as Greek mythology and symbolism heavily influenced Jung.
Carl G. Jung was a psychiatrist and psychotherapist from Switzerland (Lightfoot, 2010). Jung has constructed and developed several concepts including extraversion and introversion, collective unconscious and archetypes (Hjelle and Ziegler, 1992). Besides, Jung has a system of personality (also known as psyche), which is analytical psychology, suggested that intrapsychic forces can motivate humans and the shared evolutionary history among people can actually derived different images (Hjelle and Ziegler, 1992). The deep-rooted spiritual concerns are involved in the inherited unconscious and this also can explain why people in the world strive for creative expression and psychic completion (Hjelle and Ziegler, 1992). In this essay, it will discuss about Jung’s collective unconscious, different evidences that support it, the theory of Archetypes and how it can affect our daily life.
Parent teacher communication is very important to make sure that everyone is on the same page when it comes to everything educational related. Whether it is behavior or learning, a lot can be learned when parents and teachers communicate about their child and student. I know myself in particular I enjoy going to parent teacher meetings or IEP because I get to learn how my child is doing when they are not with me. It makes it possible for us to discuss what is working and not working with the students. Maybe the parents may have ideas to give the teacher when it comes to behavior or learning techniques for there child. The parent is with or near the child the other two thirds of the day. Communication is important for that everyone is on the same page, and that everyone’s main concern is helping the student succeed
We spoke about the important people in the classroom which includes the child’s family, the child, and the teacher. The family is not physically present in the classroom each day. However, the children are products of their home environment, and the relationships

As a result, she believes that the school her child attends is doing an effective job of communicating with parents and families because the resources are available to parents and families to use, it is just a matter of them wanting to use what is available to them.
Parental involvement promotes the social growth of a child. Children whose parents are involved in their education have many advantages. They have better grades, test scores, long-term academic achievement, attitudes and behavior than those with disinterested mothers and fathers (Gestwicki, 2001). Parents becoming involved in their child's schooling creates extra sources of social constraint to influence the child's behavior (McNeal, 2001). For example, parents talking to their children and becoming involved in the school conveys a message to the child of education being important. Parents should be talking with your children's teacher and letting her know about your family. The more she knows about your child, the better she will be able to connect with your child.
There are many benefits to teachings having a good relationship with the student’s family, guardian, or parents. Teachers should begin the school year with building positive relationships with the student’s families. In the book it mentions that there is ongoing research that indicates the benefits of family involvement in children’s education. Some of these benefits mentioned were children earning higher grades, tend to have better attendance, have higher rates of homework completion, and are more motivated and have positive attitudes towards school. Through the reading it also emphasizes on the increase in family involvement in children’s education will result in a decrease in students participating in substance abuse and violence. Students
