When communicating with people, there are five types of contexts used in conveying your message to the other party involved. Be it yourself with Interpersonal
Communication or when you think to yourself about the certain message you are receiving or even when you daze off onto space. Public speaking is usually formal when you think about it for the professionals. Although, if we think about weddings, there is usually a time where the Maid of Honor or Best Man make a speech about each of their friends and their nuptials. Usually in honor of them and to wish them a happy marriage.
Lastly, Mass communication is usually done when you want to send a message to a group of people. For example if you hard invited people over for a dinner and movie, you could send a group text to your invitees. When you are at work and need to send a reminder for the upcoming employee thanksgiving potluck, you could send them an email. There are so many ways to communicate in masses. Newspapers, Magazines,
Internet is always trying to send a message to the masses. Creating ads or articles about current events or a new product, we are always using communication techniques to get the message across.
To me personally, I would think that Interpersonal communication best fits my life and I deal with issues. The title of chapter one is called Introduction to Interpersonal communication. This chapter is mainly talking about interpersonal communication among materials that are very important to us such as interpersonal communication to our life, interpersonal communication and social media and interpersonal communication principles. They are many more that was talked about in the chapter put those three were the main thing that stood out to me. Nonverbal communication not only reveals hidden messages, but it also complements, substitutes, and exaggerates verbal communication.
One difference is parties will not speak to each other the same say depending on the environment. Domenici and Littlejohn (2007) explain, “You will not communicate the same way with your best friend, son or daughter, co-worker, or professor” (p. 32). For example, in a group setting, a student might not be as verbally violent with other students as if there were two sisters having a dispute in a personal context. Moreover, in a group context parties may hold back opinions due to the fact of not know each other as well as they might in a personal setting. If parties hold back on what is said less damage can be done to the relationships and people making it easier to move to the sphere of value. On the other hand, parties involved in a personal context may know each other well enough to feel the right to push the issue and/or issues more so than in a group. The more parties know each other the easier it is to cause additional damage to peers, relationships and social worlds, creating a sphere of harm. With that being said in this case moving from the sphere of harm to value may be faster and/or easier in a group context, while in a personal context it may require extra time and effort. Not a day goes by that an individual does not interact with another person, either by phone or in person. There will always be some interaction between two or more people. This interaction will bring about many thought process and emotions that will give the receiver a cue to respond with verbal and nonverbal messages.

The important entities needed for a successful communication includes; a sender, receiver, message and feedback. First, the sender is a person or entity that is sending information to the receiver. After receiving the message, the receiver will attempt to decode the message and prepares a proper response (feedback). Communication is an essential part of our daily interactions; it can be seen used in businesses, for pleasure, sports, education and many more activities.
