FIBROIDS
OVERVIEW
Let us put your most dreaded fear to rest right away. Fibroids are not cancerous. Only a 0.5 percent cases may turn cancerous. That today is an established fact.
Mostly, Fibroids are a benign kind of muscular tumour, or non-cancerous growths of the uterus that may appear inside, on the wall, or outside the wall of the uterus, and is quite common among women in the 30-45 age bracket. In many cases, Fibroids go undetected, because they cause no problems. Also called Laiyomyomas or Myomas, Fibroids may grow slowly, rapidly or even shrink and disappear on their own. They vary in size, from that of seedlings to bulky masses, the size of a melon or more. Medical intervention becomes necessary when women start exhibiting symptoms of Fibroid

Location, size and number determine the signs and symptoms of Fibroid.
Fibroids that grow inside the Uterus cavity, called Submucosal Fibroids are likely to cause prolonged heavy menstrual bleeding.
Fibroids that project to the outside of the uterus called Subserosal Fibroids can sometimes press on your bladder, causing you to experience urinary symptoms whereas if they bulge from the back of your uterus, they occasionally can press either on the rectum, causing a pressure sensation, or on your spinal nerves and backache.
Intramural Fibroids grow within the muscular uterine wall. If large enough, they can distort the shape of the uterus and cause prolonged, heavy periods, as well as pain and pressure.

Early recognition, diagnosis, and treatment are crucial for positive outcomes.

What the recent studies are showing is pretty scary. Our country has the highest number of colon-rectal cancer cases being reported in the entire world. And the disease is equally extensive among males as they are in females. In fact the disease today is killing more Americans than it ever did before. To some it is too embarrassing a subject to talk about. But it must be realized that cancer and deaths resulting from that are much more serious things and should be dealt brushing aside all sorts of inhibitions.
Women are normally affected during their childbearing years and develop pain in the pelvic region, menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhea), and pain with sexual intercourse (dyspareunia). Individuals may experiences gastrointestinal or urinary symptoms if ectopic endometrial tissue is next to the bladder or rectum.
Cancer is a very large issue in the world. Cancer is a sickness that can lead to many life threatening problems and can eventually lead to death. There are many different kinds of cancer that can effect a person without them even knowing it is there. One type of cancer that can be easier to detect would be skin cancer. Skin cancer can be diagnosed by seeing a doctor or dermatologist, if they see an abnormal mole or spot on your skin, they many ask to remove the spot and test it in their laboratory. If the spot or mole comes back positive for skin cancer, they next will run more tests to see if it has spread throughout the body. The first thing the doctor will ask you is the time frame from when you first started noticing this on your body,
Chemical cardioversion uses drugs to stop the heart and then the heart restarts itself with its intrinsic (internal) beat. When these drugs are used, there must always be an electrical standby.

Uterine Fibroids is a common medical condition that occurs generally in women in reproductive age. Fibroids are considered as benign tumors that grow up in the muscular wall of the uterus. Fibroids are also called leiomyoma or myoma. The size of the fibroids may vary from small sizes (apricot seed) to large sizes (similar to a melon). When fibroids rise up to a large size “The uterus expands to make it look approximating to a 6 or 7 months of pregnancy”. (Gynecologists). They also can grow up as an abnormal whole unit attach to the uterus or develop similar to grapes in different areas around the uterus. (See figure 1)
The exact cause of endometrial cancer is unknown, but there are many risk factors that lead to what causes this cancer to grow rapidly, killing off thousands of women each yea. Endometrial cancer is usually found in women in the ages of 50s or 60s. Women, who are obese, fifty pounds over their ideal weight, are ten times greater at risk than women that are not obese. Body fat produces estrogen and the higher level of estrogen is believed to increase the risk of cancer. This is believed because women with excess fat have higher levels of estrogen. Women that have not been pregnant are at three time’s higher risk. Women who have their p...
During a normal menstrual cycle, the lining of your uterus thickens and then sheds when a fertilized egg doesn't attach, resulting in your period. But when this lining starts to grow outside of the uterus, like on your ovaries or inside the pelvic cavity, it becomes inflamed, grows, and essentially has nowhere to go, says Ghadir. The result is severe pelvic pain, usually during your period, along with significant scarring to the surrounding tissue. It may also lead to large cysts on your ovaries called endome...
This would be a discussion to have with your doctor about whether or not the growths you have (if any) are dangerous to your health. If your heavy periods have brought you to the point of not being able to live a normal life, and fibroids or polyps are the proven cause for you, then surgery may be an option. Once you and your doctor have decided together to remove the growths, your doctor can choose to remove the fibroids through your vagina or through your abdominal cavity. They can determine this as they see fit. The procedure to have them removed is called a myomectomy.
