What the recent studies are showing is pretty scary. Our country has the highest number of colon-rectal cancer cases being reported in the entire world. And the disease is equally extensive among males as they are in females. In fact the disease today is killing more Americans than it ever did before. To some it is too embarrassing a subject to talk about. But it must be realized that cancer and deaths resulting from that are much more serious things and should be dealt brushing aside all sorts of inhibitions.
Through time, most renowned practitioners of alternative medicine have claimed that an unclean colon is the most dominant cause of all kinds of diseases. Without regular and proper bowl movements, the waste material that is supposed to be driven out of the body remains inside. They in turn produce toxins which are slowly absorbed by other parts of the body including the organs. This in no way can be something good for the body. In fact the toxic waste can

severely affect our health. The concept of cleansing the colon has been there for sometime now. In fact if we go back in time, the very first mention of colon cleansing can be traced as far back as the Egyptian civilization. In fact the Egyptians believed that the root of all physical ailments can be traced back to the colon. So, most of the treatment that they practiced was targeted in getting the colon work properly. It is therefore necessary to maintain a clean colon. The ideal way to tackle an unclean colon is to go for a colon cleansing. There are several methods available to us these days which can ensure that our colon is cleansed properly. These would include: - Colon hydrotherapy - Colon cleansing herbs - Oxygen-based colon cleansing laxatives - Regular laxatives practiced in conventional medicine Once you have got your colon cleansed the next step would be to alter your regular diet.
The normal diet we have is full of processed foods. So what we miss out on is fiber. Fiber actually helps to clean our system. Without enough of it, our bowels never quite become clear. So we must increase our fiber intake. It should be anything between 25-30 grams everyday. It can be either consumed dissolved in water or with your food.
Water is another critical element in getting your colon clean. There is a simple method to calculate how much water you need for your body. Whatever your weight be in pounds drink half of it in ounces. So if you weigh 200 pounds, then drink 100 ounces of water which would be approximately 2.5 liters.
Colon cleansing not only ensures a better chance of you to avoid colon cancers but also other diseases like the Crohn's Disease and
Diverticulitis.
Although I have never been someone who has taken an interest in reading about nutrition and how it affects our bodies, I really enjoyed the book, Eat Dirt by Josh Axe. The author discusses how he took an interest into leaky gut after his mother was diagnosed with cancer a second time and he created a plan to help her eat healthier in order to improve her health. The plan worked wonders for his mother, although he claims the plan won’t cure her or anyone else in her case it was highly effective. Throughout the book, Axe continues to provide the reader with examples of what his patients have suffered from and how, through changing their eating habits, have improved their lives significantly. After each example of patients, the author informs the reader of what leads to leaky gut and ways to combat it. Each chapter expands on the five ways to combat leaky gut by providing examples on the topics such as, what to eat and what probiotics to take for certain conditions. Throughout his
(What is....2016). The first documented case of Crohn’s disease suspected was King Alfred in 850 A.D. This disease is named after a Jewish man named Dr. Burrill Bernard Crohn (1884-1983) who became interested in the condition as his father, also a Dr, suffered from a disorder of the bowel. He devoted his career to “regional enteritis” the disease that now bares his name. It is necessary to understand the disease to be able to provide care for people who are afflicted by it (de Campos and Kotze 2013). Especially since Crohn’s is a chronic disease or a lifelong affliction it’s important to understand etiology, it’s symptoms, treatments, and to maintain the disease and the psychological well being of the patient managed (Crohn’s...2015).
Pancreatic cancer has become a taboo topic that many people are afraid to speak out about. It looms over families like a dark cloud, and manages to destroy people in a scarily short amount of time.
This essay will focus on how gut bacteria can affect weight and, the mutualistic relationship between gut bacteria and the human in maintaining normal health.
The human digestive system is a bodily process made up of many systems, organs and substances that break down food both physically and chemically for use by the body. But what exactly is human digestion and what happens to food as it moves through the digestive system? “…[digestion] is a group of organs working together to convert food into energy and basic nutrients to feed the entire body” (Tim Taylor). There are three major bodily mechanisms that contribute to the process of digestion. The first mechanism is the breakdown of food, the second mechanism is the process of extracting nutrients from food, and the third mechanism is excretion, or the body’s natural waste system. Each mechanism uses specific bodily organs and chemical compounds to assist in the digestion process. Organs such as the mouth, tongue, throat, liver, esophagus, gallbladder, pancreas, small and large intestines, rectum and anus are all key to the digestive process. These organs and mechanisms come together to convert the food humans eat into energy and nutrients that the body uses to sustain life, and to get rid of unnecessary waste that could be harmful to the body. Although the removal of waste from the human body can be an awkward subject to discuss it is an important part of the digestive system because if left in the body this waste would eventually poison us. The digestive system is interesting, complex and truly important to our daily lives. Without the digestive system energy and nutrients vital to the body could never reach body cells and a person wouldn't be able to do all the things they like to do, such as study, play sports, and hang out with friends.
Cancer is a really bad and deadly disease and has caused many deaths around the world, but what if it isn't much of a disease but instead a business, so on the off chance that you had a business offering something that made you well over a hundred billion dollars for every year, would you find a way to kill the requirement for your business? Or, on the other hand, would you bend backwards for cash to keep coming?Cancer is a really bad and deadly disease and has caused many deaths around the world, but what if it isn't much of a disease but instead a business. from food to medicine cancer-causing things are everywhere and put there on purpose for profit. The government has many pros of this too , they make money and thin the population.I just think it's terrible that people could be so selfish and then take lives for money and go to sleep at night. Most people are skeptical when people claim this ,but proof is everywhere and be careful so you don't become a part of the biggest business in the US.
“Just take my hand, together we can do it, I’m gonna love you through it.” (I’m Gonna Love You Through It- Martina McBride). Breast cancer is an awful disease that will change your life in a single moment. ”Everything in my life was turned upside-down. I really had a wonderful life; A husband, three children. And breast cancer came along and just smashed my world” (Janelle’s Journey). Breast cancer is an aggressive war that takes a great amount of fighting to survive. “You go from being perfectly healthy, to feeling like, ‘okay, I’m dying’. It started a whirlwind of things that I never anticipated having to go through.” (Bonnie’s Story- Beyond The Shock). Did you know that the youngest person ever to have been diagnosed with breast cancer
The excretory system is a biological system found in the human body. This particular system’s vocation is to remove excess waste that was contrived by metabolism, this system thus maintains Homeostasis. Now, before we advance, we should elucidate on what Homeostasis. Homeostasis is essentially the body attempting to maintain equilibrium. The excretory system attempts this by removing waste to equipoise to the desired level of consistency. Due to the fact that some of the organs may act independently, this organ system‘s functions are only vaguely related to one another and thus this organ system is not often observed in formal use.
We will discuss how important the digestive system is and how the process of digesting food begins and ends. We will discuss how the body extracts the nutrients it needs and the final process of getting rid of the waste, also the functions of certain and important organs that help the body in the digestive process. Lastly, we will discuss how gastritis is a common stomach disease that affects the digestive system and how we can prevent it and treat it, as well as how it affects the common person and how dangerous it can be if
Daily take one huge bowel of yogurt via mixing the half cup of water and a couple of-3 pinches of salt.
Kids are meant to be happy, play outside, go to school, and have fun. They aren’t meant to sit in hospitals, losing weight by the pound, carrying around IV poles filled with poison. It’s ridiculous and immature that we don’t have a cure for childhood cancer. The only “treatment” that we have is chemotherapy- a chemical that seems to help fight off cancer. Chemo doesn’t just fight off cancer cells though- it fights off healthy cells in your blood, mouth, digestive system, and hair follicles. The most frustrating thing about childhood cancer is that only 4% of federal funding is exclusively dedicated to childhood cancer research. It is true that more adults get diagnosed with cancer than kids, but does that mean that adults are 96% more important than children? The average age of diagnosis for an adult with cancer is age 67, and the average number of years lost is 15. 15 years are definitely many years, but not that many compared to the average number of years lost for a child- 71. Also, age 67 is a lot older than the average age of diagnoses for a child- age 6. At least the adults get to grow up and have the ability to even have cancer- some of these kids can’t even get through a fifth of their lives.
Inflammatory bowel disease is a life long disease, and it particularly targets the gastrointestinal tract (GI tract), which consists of the mouth, esophagus, stomach small intestine, large intestine (appendix, cecum, colon (ascending, transverse, descending, and sigmoid), and rectum), and anus. The gastrointestinal tract is very important to the human body; some of its functions include mechanical and chemical digestion of food, the movement of food and waste from mouth to anus, secretion of enzymes and mucus, and the absorption of nutrients. These are some reason why it’s so destructive when this part of the body becomes impaired or even damaged.
Coggrave (2008) released a study that discusses about the different forms of bowel management techniques. To develop an effective bowel management routine there needs to be an assessment done first because every patient responds differently and there also will be a process of trial an error to develop the tailored solution for the patient. The minimum impact a bowel routine can have on a patient’s life include the least invasive way, shortest time, and least amount of interventions. However, that will always not work out and a patient may suffer difficulties that are associated with neurogenic bowel such as abdominal pain, constipation, impaction, incontinence, diarrhea, autonomic dysreflexia, and abdominal distention. The frequency of a
The excretory system, which includes the rectum and anus helps the digestive system by getting rid of waste and the digestive system helps the excretory system by breaking down food to be eliminated from the body. Wow! The human body wouldn’t be able to work without one or the other. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed reading my journey throughout the human digestive system. I hope to write again from where my next journey from here will begin- perhaps it will be in the ocean or along Sydney Water pipes. Until next
Did you know that diabetes affects up to 371 million people worldwide, and 187 million of them aren't aware that they are affected by this disease? I find that very scary knowing that our population 7,622,585,762 and that 371 million are affected by diabetes. In this report, we will be talking about how we can best ensure that young people continue with a healthy, active lifestyle, so we can decrease the number of people that are affected by diabetes. Introduction: For this terms inquiry, we were able to choose our own topic, and we have chosen to do ours on fitness, our fertile question is how do we best ensure that kids go on to live a healthy active lifestyle.
