Saloon hygiene and cleanliness is considered one of the most significant conditions when customers evaluate overall Saloon quality or decide their levels of satisfaction. Bacteria can be found anywhere that there is dust or dirt. It can be exist in water, in air, on clothing, or on the skin. In a salon environment, a disease can be easily transmitted from unclean hands, unclean hairdressing accessories, dirty towels and drinking cups. As we know hygiene and cleanliness in saloon will come into direct contact with customer, through using tools and equipment such as combs and towels (Johnson, May 2004). This is important to build perceptions of saloon cleanliness in customers’ eyes.

As dining-out rate has been increased, the issues of saloon cleanliness and handling safety have become increasingly emphasized from both managerial and customer. The saloon must follow the proper saloon handling step for decrease accident at the saloon (Jamal, 2004).
Example is providing safe and clean saloon environment by reducing the accident from tools is the responsibility of saloon owners, employees, country and state health officials. In addition, the saloon industry is facing a stricter regulatory environment.
Its dangerous problems happen in saloon when the saloon not handles with cleanliness at the saloon. Such as handle with right temperatures when using tools and equipment at saloon. This is important to make sure the tools and equipment free from bacteria that make people infection. Other than that, inappropriate hand washing of a bacteria infected worker can cause the handling hairdressing, full-service saloon were not following appropriate guidelines for sanitizing tools and equipment contact surfaces, and dirty environment can impact customer loyalty and customer satisfaction (Jacoby,
When I worked at canes as a cashier I was required to check the restrooms every fifteen minutes. Also when you are not busy, you are expected to clean tables, drink area, and basically insure the whole restaurant is clean. Managers are very strict when it come to the cleanliness of Cane’s. At the end of the night booths and tables are moved and swept and mopped under. All tea containers are emptied and cleaned. Bathrooms are sprayed with bleach all, garbage’s are emptied, and fryers are moved and walls are wiped behind fryers. A manager checks and insures the restaurant is spotless. Who wants to go to a restaurant with a dirty kitchen kiior nasty restrooms?
In conclusion, it is clear that situations like this could easily be prevented with a few vitals steps. The first step in the line of prevention is restriction of flammable materials in nightclubs and other buildings, especially in enclosed spaces. Second is the installation of fire prevention systems—fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems and fire alarms with early notification to the local fire authorities. Also, the prevention of using dangerous pyrotechnics in enclosed spaces is imperative. Finally, the need for sufficient exits is vital to the safety of the people in any building, especially a crowed nightclub.

In most situations, genetic heredity plays a role in what allergy a person acquires. Children inherit their allergy from their parents. (Mills et al., 2007) On the contrary, some of individuals develop certain allergies in spite of their parents. One proposed theory that will be explored in this paper is whether or not the use of vaccines causes us to develop certain allergies. Before that theory can be proven as right or wrong, we must first get a more thorough understanding of the immune system.
This industry has had the highest injury rate of any industry from accidents caused by machinery; Workers can be seriously injured by moving animals also suffer from crippling arm, hand, and wrist injuries. Back injuries can result from loading and unloading meat from trucks and from moving meat, meat racks, or meat trees along overhead rails. Workers can be severely burned by cleaning solvents and burned by heat sealant machines when they wrap meat. Many workers can also injure themselves by falling on treacherously slippery floors and can be exposed to extremes of heat and cold. Has caused workers many health effects with injuries many layoff due to safety

Hand decontamination is the use of hand wash or alcohol rub that reduces the number of bacteria on the hands. Hand decontamination is also referred to as ‘hand hygiene’. Hand Hygiene is an integral part of nursing care, as effectively decontaminating hands significantly reduces the risk of pathogens being transferred from one surface to another, or from person to person (NICE, 2014). This means, that through practicing good hand hygiene, nurses can actively reduce the incidences of preventable healthcare associated infections, therefore improving the health and mortality of their patients.
More than 375,000 nail technicians face possible health hazards everyday (“Health Hazards”). Today’s salons are investing in the latest products. Sanitation is the most important in any salon to prevent disease or injury to cosmetologists and for clients. The ingredients in these hair products are becoming stronger for some clients to handle. Cosmetologists need to understand how to keep ourselves and our clients safe. Tools, implements, and cleaning furniture is the most important. Customers are always going to be coming in and out of the salon. Cosmetologist will not always know who the person is in the salon. Wash and sanitize your hands before and after a client. Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) will also help prevent disease (Frangie). To prevent disease and bacteria, cosmetologists need to sanitize the tools and furniture before and after they give a service to a client.
Using good hand hygiene is a start to making sure the patient environment is safe. “Handwashing is a fundamental principle and practice in the prevention, control, and reduction of healthcare-acquired infections” (Bjerke, 2004, p. 1). Hand hygiene aids in infection control, being as most hospital acquired infections are due to improper or absence of hand hygiene. Fox, Wavra, Drake, Mulligan, Jones, Bennett, and Bader (2015) suggest that 2.5 million deaths occur from hospital-acquired infections and of those deaths, 90,000 were preventable if the workers in healthcare would have used proper hand hygiene. Piece of mind is a mutual benefit of using hand hygiene in the healthcare setting. A nurse benefits from using hand hygiene because it would reduce the risk of that nurse contaminating other patients when going from patient room to patient room. A patient benefits from using hand hygiene because it reduces the risk of that patient spreading infection from one part of the body to another. Piece of mind is the benefit for knowing that patients and nurses are protected in healthcare facilities by using hand hygiene. Patients and nurses will benefit from using hand hygiene because it is a simple way to aid in keeping the individual healthy. The hands carry many germs and constant adherence to good hand hygiene will decrease the risk of people catching illnesses and contaminating shared surfaces (door handles, tables, and
Patient’s personal hygiene is a vital part of the nurse’s role. Young (1991) described cleanliness as a basic human right, not a luxury the need for the patient to physically cleansing and which would include skin, hair and nails.
Many people are curious why they are allergic and others are not. The answer to this is that allergies are genetic in almost all cases. Scientists and researchers believe that people inherit a tendency to be allergic, although not to any specific allergen. Children are much more likely to develop allergies if their parents have allergies. Interestingly, people with year-round (perennial) allergies commonly develop the problem as adults, and are more likely to be women than men. Symptoms can lessen as you get older, but they rarely completely disappear without treatment.
Each staff member of the restaurant should have nice and clean hygiene along with good manners. Having good hygiene is very important whether an employee is waiting tables, washing dishes, or cooking. If an employee does not shower friction will start to grow between the staff and no one would like to work or even be around that employee. Working in the food service industry with overgrown nails or dirty nails is against the health code and could contaminate the food being prepared by the employee. Being around a customer with bad hygiene could possibly hinder the customer from having a memorable time at the restaurant. Having good manners is also mandatory for every staff member so that no problems can surface between the staff and customers. Steve Marchetti explained that each employee are to meet the minimal standards set forth in the employee handbook and also deliver on the company?s commitment to their customers (Marchetti). A restaurants commitment...
A hazard is defined as an activity or object that has the potential to cause harm if contact is made with the person, object or activity (MHS, 1996; Harmse, 2007; HSE, 2006). These hazards in a work place need to be identified and dealt with accordingly to prevent any harm to employees or any individual acquainted to a certain activity or establishment. The key roles and principles of occupational hygiene are Anticipation, Identification, Evaluation and Control (Schoeman and van den Heever, 2014; Harmse, 2008; SAMTRAC, 2012). To practise in accordance to the above principle; a hazard identification and risk assessment needs to be conducted. Anticipation is the foreseeing of the activity
have a health and safety policy and, if you have five or more employees, have it documented setting out your commitment to managing health and safety, what you want to achieve, who is responsible for specific actions and the detail of what you are going to do to achieve those
Lately, the issue of occupational safety and health has become a major aspect to each of the management in each organization. The issue of worker receiving treatment as a result of injuries in the workplace increased lately. It is caused by a lack of emphasis on the importance of safety and health in the work becomes the main factor. The idea of Occupational Safety and Health has gained the most attention, and many firms have implemented systems and processes to support an organization to protect, safe, and management of risk. Where, occupational safety and health is a mechanism that must be applied in workplace in order to decreases hazard. As we know, in the workplace, the worker faces to the hazard. So, the workers have
