We all are all given equal opportunities within our lives to pursue our unending dreams, whether it be playing a musical instrument, leadership, or with relationships with others. Yet, where my dreams really continue is my life after my years in high school, and therefore graduation. In the next years I am planning to attend The University of Dayton with a Major in Chemical Engineering.
It comes with great pride that I can say that I have found a major that interests me significantly. Firstly, over the years I have noticed I have become very obsessed with finding answers and solutions to problems at a whole. My crave for an philomatic education is what attracted me to engineering. I am able to imagine myself trying to find solutions to problems for a benefit ideally for the community as a whole. The ways chemicals,

Firstly, I have worked at Cassano’s Pizza and Subs since the beginning of my Junior year. In my opinion, it is difficult to manage an hour demanding job and to produce promising academics. Yet, to date my grade point average is 4.2609. Also, I have participated in a numerous amount of extra curricular activities at Sidney High School. I am currently the Treasurer of both the National Honor Society as well as the Student Government, and have been a class officer for three prior years. Furthermore, I am a Link Crew Leader to help freshmen transition into their freshman year of high school. Ironically, I will need the same help next year! Playing musical instruments also pleases me greatly, I have performed in many musical groups in the past years. I have performed in the District Honor Band, received a 1-Superior rating in Solo and Ensemble, and have been the trumpet section leader for the Sidney High School marching, pep, and concert bands. Lastly, I also perform in a brass quintet as well as the Upper Valley Community
As I reflect on my college life, I wonder about the choices I have made that have led me to where I am today and that will guide me into shaping who I long to become. The things I have had to sacrifice, the support and experiences I have had with family, friends, strangers and work colleagues. I don’t know what I will be doing three months or thirty years from now but I do know that I want to have new experiences. When I graduated from high school, I knew I didn’t want to be that person that moved back to the same town and stayed there for the rest of my life. I even contemplate leaving the United States in my adult life. Who really knows, maybe those cards are still in the deck. For now, I know my immediate goals include focusing on completing my college education the best I can, and moving away from my comfort zone, broadening my horizons and taken risks.
During this year at Itineris I hope to be able to be able to try my hardest to progress in my studies. This way I can give myself the best education I can get and actually learn from what I have worked for. My motivation for coming here is the idea that I can do something good with my life and focus fully on academics and not so much on those things that can take away from my education. I can take more classes that will help me with my degree and not as many classes that are just used as a time to play.
My preferred major is mechanical engineering. Mechanical engineering is the broadest engineering field, involving the design of mechanical systems. These systems are used in a multitude of different fields such as manufacturing, aeronautics, nanotechnology, nuclear power production, heating and cooling. A primary focus is on thermodynamics, structural analysis, materials science, and kinematics.
It has always been my greatest ambition to become a college graduate. In order to achieve that goal I have strived to cultivate the various talents with which I have been blessed.
Selecting a major has been the most difficult challenge I have faced as a student at UC Merced. While many students select their major based upon statistics and ideals, I base my decision primary on my strong commitment and my passion. Furthermore, while maturing the last two years, I have learned that a major should encompass your love, talents, and desire for success in that subject.
As a student in the small town of Payette, Idaho, I have dreams of exploring what the rest of the world has to offer. There are so many amazing opportunities to be had in the great United States of America, and my life goal is to achieve my fullest potential by taking advantage of those same opportunities. Many of those opportunities though, do not come without a hefty price tag. My dream in life is to graduate from the University of Washington in the rapidly growing city of Seattle.
For the past twelve years, I have spent my time and effort on getting an education that would prepare me for the final step of my schooling career: college. For a long time, the thought of college frightened me. I was not sure what to expect, and I had no idea what I wanted to attain from my college years. Of course, I had my sights set on earning a degree in Aerospace Engineering; however, that was the extent of my goals. Now, as my time in high school comes to an end, I have realized what I hope to gain gain from college.
Regarding my education, I’ve set numerous goals for my last few years of high school, and achieved them successfully. I started taking college dual credit classes, on top of normal high school classes, in my freshman year of high school. By doing this over the course of the years, I’ll be graduating with my associates degree in college, the same time I’ll be graduating from high school this May. All of my hard work for my education has finally paid off, and given me the chance to carry on my educational career at SIU Carbondale, as I stated above. I’m going to continue to strive for excellence, especially in my career field.
Choosing a major is never an easy work. I have to know and understand the major in the first place, and then seek the value of learning that major. Based on my own experience, I have to get clear with the subjects that I need to learn. Most importantly, what is my future going to be if I choose that major as the direction of my life. As an electrical engineering student, I believe that the technology surrounds us will continue to expand and engineers will lead the way.
Although money isn’t everything, being financially secure is very important. Money can’t buy love or happiness, but it makes life easier knowing you have a house to go home to, food in your fridge, and clothes to put on your back. My family had a hard time when I was growing up with making ends meet and I want to make sure that I do everything in my power to keep that from happening to my future family. If I apply myself in college and strive for knowledge, I will have the potential to become very adept in my field which will help me achieve my goal of financial stability because I’ll be able to keep a job. I also hope for my future that I stay open to new experiences, whatever the world may throw at me. I want to be able to travel and see new cultures, societies, and people. Hand-in-hand with traveling, I would love to volunteer all over the world, as well. I take great pride in doing volunteer work and it would be an enlightening experience to be able to help out around the world. Something else I am passionate about is music. I hope that I have the time and ability to continue on with my music career as my life progresses. Doing bands and music things at UWEC will help me to achieve this goal because I will learn immensely under great instruction. Going to UW Eau Claire will aid me in reaching all of these goals I have set myself. I am excited to see what my future holds for me
Not surprisingly, college is the perfect time to set these goals and dreams in motion. During college, students have the chance to discover now only what they want, but also who they are. My college experience has led to the discovery of myself and thus, the discovery
Simple Argument 2: While schools may be wanting to use stealth assessment to strengthen relationships between staff and students, stealth assessment can actually damage the relationship between teachers and students. If school boards want to use stealth assessment to create intellectual and emotional profiles, most likely that information will be shared with teachers because they interact with students on a day-to-day basis and have a higher chance of bringing a change if a change is needed. The relationship between a student and a teacher is a relationship that can affect a student’s progress in his/her education and their marks. Teachers commonly don’t have biased views for kids but by getting exposed to the stealth assessment process,
Engineering has been a key interest of mine since childhood. While still in grade school I enjoyed listening to my father, an electrical engineer, teach me about advances in technology, and was always eager to hear more. I was introduced to my first computer at the age of five, and have loved interacting with them ever since. My decision to study engineering as a career was no surprise to those who knew me.
When I first enrolled here at State University, I never thought I would ever be in the position to graduate. Finishing college was a huge goal growing up but it was also my biggest fear. But after three and a half years of dedication I plan to get my degree in the fall. Getting this far in college was not easy, it took encouragement from family, dedication, and assistance from others to reach this position.
I know that the major I chose as an electrical engineer is not an easy one, but I also know that this is the best fit for me, and that I chose the right one. Not only do I get to contribute to the ever-changing society that we live in, but I also face new challenges every day, which is exciting because that means that in my career each day is different, and I love taking on a new challenge, which will enhance my knowledge and make me a better electrical engineer.
