My first strategy would be to get to know each of my administrative staff members on a more personal level and develop a career plan for each. I would ask them about their personal lives, their family, children, hobbies, and what motivates them. This would enable me to see what types of strategies and incentives would best suit each individual. I would educate them on the potential for their career path, advise them on the steps they must take in order to achieve it, as well as responsibilities, and explain the compensation that would come along with it. Having a clear direction in mind will help employees stay motivated and focused towards achieving set goals. Next, I would ask my employees how they felt about moving up in the company and furthering their education. I would offer incentives for additional education and career advancement. I would also offer coaching and mentoring for skills that could be learned in the office from more experienced coworkers. Encouraging employees to further their education not only benefits the employee, but also the department as a whole. I would let employees know that I am there to help them achieve their aspirations and open doors of opportunity. …show more content…
We would discuss what would be expected of them in order for these opportunities to take place. Employees are extremely motivated to achieve if this means that advancement awaits them. I believe it would be a great idea to plan an event, such as a barbeque, outside of the workplace and invite all staff members and their immediate family members to attend.
They could get to know one another on a more personal level, where the stress and busyness of the work place is removed. They would get to relax and enjoy the moment, sharing stories and a good meal. I think this would give staff members an opportunity to look at each other in a different light and possibly realize that they have more things in common than they had realized before and become friends, or at least friendly. Having their own family members there will allow them to be themselves and feel more at ease and comfortable. Allowing staff to spend a fun day together would be a great team building
strategy. I would monitor the progress of my employees towards accomplishing their goals and objectives. I would see if their interactions with the other staff members were starting to be more harmonious, and if changes such as enthusiasm and promptness in accordance with their jobs were being made. I think it would be easy to see if the workplace was running more efficiently. You would be able to sense the mood shift to a more productive and collaborative place after various steps were taken to join forces of both professional and administrative staff members. It may take some time but focusing on joining the teams as one, and empowering staff members to achieve their very best, will keep the work place running smoothly and create a happy environment.
If the whole world was blind you wouldn’t be able to impress a whole lot of people. It would be difficult to impress people that do not know what you are doing. The first impression is the important, because that’s how someone will think of you.
In the summer of 2015 I attended Camp Four Winds Westward Ho on Orcas Island, Washington. This camp is a non-profit organization that offers two month-long sessions for campers ages 10 to 16 with staff positions starting at age 17. This summer I worked in the barn for one month-long session and 10 days after that. I got up at six-o'clock every morning and I finished my work at the barn at six-o'clock pm. After I usually helped with camp dishes until 9 at night. I felt accomplished in working hard because I felt like I was making a difference to make the camp run smoother. Though after awhile it was challenging to even get up in the morning due to exhaustion, I persevered through it and proved to myself that I have a lot of willpower. I enjoy

I want also make sure that my employees are happy where they work and feel appreciated. When your workers love their job and the company they work for business tends to run smoothly and successful. Being a Practice manager isn’t the job title I want for the rest of my life. I plan on getting my Masters in Healthcare Administration once I receive my bachelors. I will be working my way up to be a Hospital Administrator that is my big goal. I see so many Hospital Administrators in charge of the operations and the workers of the hospital whom don’t care about the patient or their employees. I want to be that Hospital Administrator that ensures that the employees are being treated properly as well as feeling worthy. I have seen people not give a care about the patient because they feel the company they work for doesn’t give a care about them. My goal would be to ensure that operations of the hospital are going smoothly, make sure the budget is carefully looked after. Budget would be the biggest responsibility that I would look after; your budget keeps the hospital a better place especially if it’s just right. A good budget plan also means a low turnover rate and that’s what I will be aiming for. Financial stability is one of the most important tasks that I have that I
The reason I want to become a business owner of a tile setting company is because ever since I was little my father owned his own tile setting business. From a young age I told my father that I wanted to take over his business one day. I was always nervous to fail at this job because of my learning disability and I don't want to disappoint him. As I grow older, I have learned new ways to compensate for my disability and I have become the more confident of my own abilities. I have also learned that my father had the same learning disability and that did not stop him from being successful. I am very much like my father and that is why being a business owner would be the best career that would suit me. The things I already know about
Career development should begin right after the individual is hired and all on-boarding training is concluded. An organization’s corporate culture has a lot to do with the career development of their employees. It should be stated and understood by new employees what is expected of them and are by the organization to attain different positions. One way to help new hires with career development is for the organization to have a mentor program in place. For the individual, they should have already established within themselves short-term and long-term goals to avoid being stuck in a rut or becoming overworked and underpaid.
