Music is a good form of expression because it has benefited me throughout the years. Music made me more creative. Music helped me through a depression. Music helps explore different emotions. Some people even focus better when they listen to music. Great things have came through expressing myself though music. I have avoided many arguments and saved myself the stress because music calms me down. I believe that music can make one more intellectual. Playing instruments using both hands helps you use more than one side of your brain. Therefore I feel like it can make one more creative. When I began to play instruments it made me more creative I began to draw, paint and I really enjoyed creating designs. Being young and not knowing how to express my feelings I turned to music as my escape. I believe it has had an influence on the kind of person I am today. Music is a coping mechanism for me. Music has always affected my mood and am sure others as well. When I played my guitar I always felt like I was talking through the strings. Music also helped me feel much more relaxed in my state of devastation. I felt at ease when I sang or played my guitar. The harmonies of certain songs made me so relaxed I would feel like I was laying on the beach. Music helped me explore my emotions and made me in touch with feelings I was used to ignoring. I always avoided my feeling I never wanted to feel vulnerable. Music made me more open minded to exploring my feeling.
