Undoubtedly, anybody who live in a stratified society can realize that they would not be where they are if it was not for a special someone pursuing interest into their livelihood. People withholding the appreciation of promoting significant change towards another’s livelihood could be our teachers, brethren, coworkers, and even deceased souls. Personally, the person who withholds the title of having a significant impact on my life is my undaunted, older sister Cynthia Chisholm. As a child, I could truly say that I did not take heave to the consequences of my actions. For instance, in Montclair, my elementary school, I had the intellect and potential to be the golden student that get all A’s and be the role model for others, but sadly, I showed no interest in accomplishing such a goal. Hysterically, I just was just a class clown that spent most of my time making others laugh than paying attention to what my teacher actually had to say. Thus, I was constantly in trouble with administration and my grades were less than average. Felt with disappointment through my actions, my sister intervened with the discussion that I could never surpass her through the path I was walking, and she exclaimed that my grades signified that I was just another individual wasting other people’s precious time. To point out, Cynthia was the golden child based on her countless achievements and being the first to attend college in the family without paying penny through scholarships and grants. Desired to prove my sister wrong, I bolstered that I could easily get all A’s in school and surpass all the achievements she proclaimed. As a result, the discussion led me into taking school more seriously so I could make truth of what I arrogantly proposed to her. Still engraved into surpassing my sister, I constantly kept achieving the upmost quality of my grades and participated in everything I could through middle and high school. During the era of my middle school life, my sister was proud of my achievements that I set forth alone, and instead of perpetuating her as solely my rival, she became my ally in education. For instance, she led me into gaining deeper knowledge of my dream college North Carolina State University and she mentored me on how I could better service the community. With thoughts of never letting her down, I consistently avoided bad influences and exposed my integrity throughout my environment. When it came time to graduate from middle school, I already came to an effortless decision to attend SandHoke Early College High School since the institution naturally had better educational opportunities than the other high school that was severely overpopulated. In addition, I wanted to accelerate faster into accomplishing the goal of one day surpassing her. In short, my sister Cynthia whole-heartedly impacted my life through adolescents by being by my side in education and decision
