“There is no lake at Camp Green Lake”. That is what Stanley Yelnats thought as he entered the camp for troubled young teens in the movie and book “Holes”.Stanley was framed for a crime and sent to this camp to avoid jail. In this camp you have to dig 5 by 5 holes to build “Character”.They were really looking for a treasure that actually once belonged to Stanley's family.The warden wanted to take it for herself and her only. Eventually Zero one of the campers and Stanley's close friend ran off and they both found refuge at a place called God's Thumb. Stanley's lawyer soon realized he was innocent and Stanley and his new friend Zero went free and got the treasure. The book and movie were great with the perfect amount of humor and seriousness tied in at the right moments, But they were similar and different in very many ways. The Book and Movie Holes were similar in many ways.One way the movie and the book were the same was the dialoge and quotes in the movie were dead on to those in the book.It really added to the movie and made it feel more like the book, unlike most movies made from books.Another stunning reason they were the same is the movie had all of the same names of characters from in the book.That is normally extremely rare in cases like this.There were also a lot of little similarities in the book and the movie. One of those small details were when Stanley's Great Great grandfather forgot to carry Madame Zeroni up the mountain after she did something for him and then apparently Stanley's family got a curse of bad luck.
I guess all in all i enjoyed the story of holes, but producers should not change the movie much from the
