The meaning of halal is permissible and in translation it is usually used as lawful. Haram is the antonym of halal. The meaning of haram is unlawful or forbidden. The populations of Muslims are 2.14 billion and population of Christian population is 2.07 billion in 2016. Muslims is the highest religious population in Asia. (Religious Population Main Page, 2017) Nowadays, the fastest growing religion on earth is Islam. In 2010, the Muslim population estimated to reach 2 billion. First of all, halal certificate is the confirmation for the entire Muslim customers that the food in the restaurant is served halal food that accordance with Islamic Law. (Kreserve Blogs, 2017) Besides, the second benefit of halal certificate is to increase the revenue of the restaurant and also attract more Muslin customer. Moreover, the third benefit of halal certificate is to assure customer that the food served by the restaurant is healthy and hygiene.

The first benefit of halal food is halal food healthier than non halal food. This is because all of the halal must be hygiene. For example, the animals must live in a clean and healthy environment and the animals fed by healthy and halal food. Furthermore, the second benefit of halal food is reducing the painfulness of the animal. According to Zabihah, animals must be healthy before slaughter. Furthermore the animals must be served by a sharp knife and a single swipe for decrease the painfulness of animals. According to Shariah law, animals must be stay in a healthy and clean environment. Besides, animals must be fed by clean water, healthy and non halal food. Other than that, halal food is healthier than non halal food. This is because the preparation of halal methods can clear all the harmful bacteria and toxins. The taste of halal meat is better, tender and it can stay fresh longer than non halal meat. (David Bentley, 2017)
6.0 Uses
The uses of the halal food are to get healthy. This is because the halal product will be controlled by JAKIM. JAKIM will give a guideline to every company that has halal certificate. If the company did not follow the guideline, JAKIM will confiscate the halal certificate. Therefore, Muslim customer won’t have any when having meal in every halal restaurant.
