Hiring people with disabilities seems to be an increasing situation in the states. The United States try to make sure that every individual disabled or not disabled is treated equally, especially when it comes to working environments. They make sure that disabled people are treated as equal as the non-disabled people by creating The Americans with Disabilities Act. On the other hand, it has not completely broken down barriers that continue to create the dynamics of oppression among such individuals. For instance, WIOA can be harmful to individuals with disabilities because there are still societal prejudices and biases associated with the stereotypical portrayal of people with disabilities and WIOA has played a role in it. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is one of the most significant laws in American History. Before the ADA was passed, employers were able to deny employment to a disabled worker, simply because he or she was disabled. With no other reason other than the person's physical disability, they were turned away or released from a job. The ADA gives civil rights protections to individuals with disabilities similar to those provided to individuals on the basis of race, color, sex, national origin, age, and religion. The act guarantees equal opportunity for individuals with disabilities in public accommodations, employment, transportation, State and local government services, and telecommunications. The ADA not only opened the door for millions of Americans to get back into the workplace, it paved the road for new facilities in the workplace, new training programs, and created jobs designed for a disabled society (Frierson, 1990). This paper will discuss disabilities covered by the ADA, reasonable accommodations employers must take to accommodate individuals with disabilities, and the actions employers can take when considering applicants who have disabilities.
I believe the Americans With Disabilities Act is the most important precedent set in the struggle against all discrimination for persons with disability. In this paper I will give a brief description of the statutes set by the Americans With Disabilities Act, pertaining to disabilities in the workplace. I will then discuss what employers are required to do according to the A.D.A. and some of the regulations they must abide by. The next section of this paper will discuss the actual training of employees with disabilities with a highlight on training programs for workers with mobility and motion disabilities. The following section of this paper will discuss the economic effects of a vocational rehabilitation program. Finally this paper will conclude with a brief discussion of what the measures set by the Americans With Disabilities Act means to the actual workers and people it benefits.

Hopefully we start getting more lead roles about people with disabilities played by people disabilities. What does it show that when a person without a disability plays someone with a disability. Once that camera turns off they are no longer disabled. Having a disability is not something you can turn off and on. More recent movies have been good at modeling the life of an individual with a disability. It gives the audience a better feel of what people face and their experience with a disability. Although people with disabilities are not the ones playing the role, it is good that disabled roles are showing up more. Some roles are even inspired by people 's stories which gives it authenticity.

I think viewing individuals with intellectual disabilities as capable individuals is a huge way to effectively include them into the community. This allows the opportunity to give the individuals jobs and tasks that they are expected to do. By viewing them as capable, we can give them places of employment because we acknowledge that they are capable of applying certain skills into the real-world application. This puts a responsibility on the individual to show that they are capable of doing things by themself and that they are even expected to be able to do these tasks.
